Reasonable Load Characteristic Experiment for Component Load Modeling (개별 부하모델링을 위한 부하의 합리적인 특성실험)

  • Load modeling is classified into two methods according to approaching method, so called the measurement and component-based method. The measurement method is to model the load characteristics measured directly at substations and feeders. But it is difficult to measure continuously load characteristics from naturally occurring. system variation. The component-based method consists of the fellowing process; component load modeling, composition rate estimation and aggregation of component loads, etc. In this paper, the characteristic experiment of component loads was performed to obtain data for the component load modeling as the component-based method. At first, representative component loads were selected by the proposed method considering the accuracy of load modeling and the performance possibility of component load experiment in the laboratory. Also an algorithm was Proposed to identify the reliability of data obtained from the component load characteristic experiments. In addition, the results were presented as the case studies.

  • This paper describes the development of a 6-component load cell with plate beams which may be used to measure forces Fx, Fy, Fz and moments Mx, My, Mz simultaneously in industry. We have analyzed the bending strains on the surface of the beams under forces or moments by using Finite Element Method and designed the sensing elements of 6-component load cell. We have also determined the attachment location of strain gages of each load cell and fabricated 6-component load cell. To evaluate the rated strain and interference error of each load cell, we have carried out characteristic test of 6-component load cell.

  • Component-based method for load model not only should include the performances of the load components, but also should take into consideration the core losses of transformers, the line losses and the capacitor banks. Especially, capacitor bank affects the accuracy of reactive load model in load modeling. But it is difficult to identify actual reactive powers of capacitor banks in power system for load modeling. This research improves the component-based modeling method including uncertain capacitor bank. The proposed method is hybrid technique, which adds the measurement-based method to the existing component-based method for reliable information of capacitor band. The results of case studies were presented to verify the validity of the proposed method.

  • This paper describes the development of a precision 3-component load cell with plate beams which may be used for measuring forces Fx, Fy and moment Mz simultaneously in industry. We have derived equations to predict the bending strains on the surface of the beams under forces or moment. We have also determined the attachment location of strain gages of each sensor and fabricated 3-component load cell. To evaluate the rated strain and interference error of each sensor, we have carried out characteristic test of precision 3-component load cell. It reveals that the rated strain calculated from the derived equations are good agreement with the results from Finite Element Method analysis.

  • This study aims at evaluation of component performance of a commercial micro gas turbine by detailed measurements of various system parameters. A test facility to measure performance of a micro gas turbine was set up. Performance parameters such as turbine exit temperature, exhaust gas temperature, engine inlet temperature, compressor discharge pressure and fuel flow rate were measured. Variations in measured data and estimated performance parameters were analyzed. In addition to overall engine performance, component characteristic parameters including the turbine inlet temperature, the compressor efficiency, the turbine efficiency, the recuperator effectiveness were estimated. Behaviors of the estimated characteristic parameters with operating condition change were examined.

  • This paper deals with the characteristic analysis & optimum design of Permanent Magnet Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Motor(PMASynRM) for Premium Efficiency Performance. The focus of this paper is characteristic analysis of d and q-axis inductances and torque according to magnetizing quantity of interior permanent magnet for PMASynRM. The d and q-axis current component ratios, load angles of a PMASynRM are investigated quantitatively on the basis of the proposed analysis method and the experimental test. Comparisons are given with output characteristic curves of normal SynRM and those according to the load in PMASynRM, respectively. And optimum design of PMASynRM is performed by Response Surface Methodology(RSM).

  • The modeling of load characteristics is a difficult problem because of uncertainty of load. This research uses artificial neural networks which can approximate nonlinear problem to represent load characteristics. After the selection of typical load, active and reactive power for the variation of voltage and frequency is obtained from experiments. We constructed and learned ANN based on these data for component load identification. The learned ANN identified load characteristics for other voltage and/or frequency variation. In addition, the results of component load identification are presented to demonstrate the potentiality of the proposed method.method.
