Model Composition Methodology for High Speed Simulation (고속 시뮬레이션을 위한 모델합성 방법)

  • DEVS formalism is advantageous in modeling large-scale complex systems and it reveals good readability, because it can specify discrete event systems in a hierarchical manner. In contrast, it has drawback in that the simulation speed of DEVS models is comparably slow since it requires frequent message passing between the component models in run-time. This paper proposes a method, called model composition, for simulation speedup of DEVS models. The method is viewed as a compiled simulation technique which eliminates run-time interpretation of communication paths between component models. Experimental results show that the simulation speed of transformed DEVS models is about 18 times faster than original ones.

Characterization of RTMOCVD Fabricated PbO/ZrO2/TiO2 Multilayer Thin Films (RTMOCVD로 제조된 PbO/TiO2/ZrO2 다층박막의 특성 연구)

  • In this study, the fabrication of PZT films was performed from a multilayer structure comprising $TiO_2$, $ZrO_2$ and PbO thin films prepared by rapid themal chemical vapor deposition(RTMOCVD). $TiO_2$, $ZrO_2$ and PbO are the component layers of oxide multilayer system for a single phase PZT thin film. The composition control of PZT thin film was done by the thickness control of individual component layer. The composition ratio of Pb:Ti:Zr with thickness were 1:0.94:0.55. Occurrence of a single-phase of PZT was initiated at around $550^{\circ}C$ and almost completed at $750^{\circ}C$ under the fixed time of 1hr. As the concentration of Pb increased, the roughness and crystallization in the film increased. From the as result of using XPS and TEM, the single phase formation through annealing is evident. The electrical properites of the prepared PZT thin film(Zr/Ti=40/60, 300 nm) on a Pt-coated substrate were as follow: dielectric constant ${\varepsilon}_r=475$, coercive field Ec=320 kV/cm, and remanant polarization $P_r=11{\mu}C/cm^2$ at an applied voltage of 18 V.

The effect of circuit weight training on body composition and physical fitness of middle-aged women for 12 week (12주간의 순환근력운동이 중년여성의 신체조성 및 기초체력에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of 12-week circuit weight training on their body composition and physical fitness in middle aged women. A total of 34 subjects of did not have any physical abnormalities or diseases, and the subjects were 12-week circuit weight training. The results of this study were as following : Body composition component examination showed that the body weight, body fat percentage and waist measurement showed differences that were statistically significant. And the physical fitness component examination showed that muscular endurance, flexibility, agility, and cardiovascular endurance showed differences that were statistically significant. But muscular strength and reflexes showed differences that were not statistically significant. These results suggest that the circuit weight-training had an effect on body composition and physical fitness examination results over 12-week. Therefore, we consider that the circuit weight training is recommended to middle-age women to improve body fat percentage and physical strength.

  • Independent component analysis (ICA) is a statistical method for transforming an observed high-dimensional multivariate data into statistically independent components. ICA has been applied increasingly in wide fields of spectrum application since ICA is able to extract unknown components of a mixture from spectra. We focus on application of ICA for separating independent sources and predicting each composition using extracted components. The theory of ICA is introduced and an application to a metal surface spectra data will be described, where subsequent analysis using non-negative least square method is performed to predict composition ratio of each sample. Furthermore, some simulation experiments are performed to demonstrate the performance of the proposed approach.

  • In the process of pervaporation separation for aqueous ethanol solution through cellulose tai-acetate(CTA) membrane, the modelling on the solution-diffusion permeation mechanism was built up on the basis of sorption and permeation experimental results. Also its function type and parameter were examined. The composition of sorption equilibrium in three component system(Ethanol/Water/CTA) were compared with the calculated value by Flory-Huggins' equation using the pure component sorption data. In order to apply the thermodynamic equilibrium relationship between the membrane free composition in the membrane and the equilibrium composition in the liquid phase, the apparent activity this system, however, the results were not satisfied. Diffusion equations were expressed with the concentration gradient considering permeate alone, and a concentration-dependent diffusion coefficient which includes a parameter was used. And this model was fitted with the measured permeation rates. If the permeation rate and the amount of sorption of one component were much larger than those of the other, the bulk flow term could not be negligible. The flux and selectivity were increased with increasing temperature, and with decreasing downstream pressure.

  • Specificity of catches has been analyzed to japanese tuna purse seine A principle component analysis was used to improve the efficiency of fishing and increase sustainable production and productivity of Korean tuna purse seine.The result are as follows;From the principal component analysis of the fish catches, the first principal component(Z1) to promote principal component score was skipjack Kastsuwonus Pelamis, LINNAEUS and yellowfin tuna Thunnus Albacares, BONNATERRE (Small : smaller than 10kg) and proportion was 86.8% of total. The second principal component(Z2) to increase principal component score was yellowfin tuna (Large : larger than 10kg) and proportion was 9.5%.On the other hand, fish operating that have caught skipjack and yellowfin tuna (Small and Larger) was not so much. Fish catches for one species raised volume of the catches while catches for multi-species decreased it since principal composition score for one species and both species together has been increased.Fish school could be divided into three groups of schools each of which was associated with drift objects, payaho and ship, school associated with shark, whale and porpoise and school of breezing, feeding and jumping from proportion of principal component analysis for fish catches of school types. However, the biological pattern is different among school associated with ship, payaho and school associated with drift objects for analysis eigen vector. School associated with ship, payaho and school associated with drifting object associated is judged as school which be assembled to vessel and drifted log temporary.

  • SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) can be a technique to make compassable software from mapping business service to software component. To support effective SOA, it is important that services have to be defined or classified more independently for dynamic and reusable composition. Several methods have been issued but no ways to defined service granularities, service type or service unit. In this paper we introduce 3 level views, service level, service granularity to reuse effectively. And, we suggest service definition guidelines using them.

  • In this paper we extend the functional principal component analysis for real-valued random functions to the case of Hilbert-space-valued functional random objects. For this, we introduce an autocovariance operator acting on the space of real-valued functions. We establish an eigendecomposition of the autocovariance operator and a Karuhnen-Loève expansion. We propose the estimators of the eigenfunctions and the functional principal component scores, and investigate the rates of convergence of the estimators to their targets. We detail the implementation of the methodology for the cases of compositional vectors and density functions, and illustrate the method by analyzing time-varying population composition data. We also discuss an extension of the methodology to multivariate cases and develop the corresponding theory.

  • This paper dealt with a component test of train control and management system(TMS) developed for korean tilting train express(TTX). This system that is established on TTX monitors and controls action of various devices by running of the train. Also, to performance estimation of the TMS, it is essential to verify a composition and function of TMS. Therefore, this study reviewed standards related on a component test of the TMS and confirmed test items, test conditions and evaluation basis on a Component Test. Running Test of TTX can verify performance of TMS and communications with other devices and secure reliability of TMS.
