This study was conducted to encourage dissatisfied consumers to initiate an active complaining process over beauty salon services as well as to reduce consumer dissatisfaction at the time of using such services. A questionnaire survey was conducted with female consumers over the period between December 1 and December 20, 2004. A total of 753 questionnaires were used for the final analysis. The following findings were obtained: 1. Consumer dissatisfaction index with beauty salon services was 23.02 (65.77/100) and the respondents showed the highest level of dissatisfaction with the price. 2. The level of complaints about beauty salon services was very low, as shown by the index value 7.12 (25.43/100). Most of the respondents simply did not go back to the particular beauty shop, or complained privately to people around them when they felt dissatisfied with beauty service. 3. Benefit awareness and level of dissatisfaction had the greatest effect on the complaint behavior about unsatisfaction beauty salon services.

Complaints against high-speed train interior noise have been increasing as a number of high-speed train passenger grows bigger. It is very difficult to analyze characteristics of high-speed train interior noise using sound pressure level only. It is requested to consider how the public response change for each high-speed train interior noise. This study presents evaluation of the sound quality for interior noise of KTX-II using Zwicker parameters. Characteristic of loudness and sharpness is different between noise samples depending on operation condition. The noise sample that recorded when the high-speed train passed through tunnel section is more louder and sharper.

Most of the blast pollution that causes complaints is noise and vibration. Hence, special attentions need to be paid to controlling the underwater noise in designing blasting for those areas. This study estimated underwater sound pressure using distance from blasting and charge per delay and underwater sound pressure level using the underwater sound pressure. To identify the validity of the estimated value, the study demonstrated the results at other areas and compared actual results with estimated results.

Concrete track on the new railway lines of the existing roads are built on high ground, or less than 400m radius of the sharp curve sectors will occur. sharp curve sectors the rail and wheel friction, stick-slip due to the band of 1,000Hz or squeal noise occurs from the increase in civil complaints about noise is a real situation. In this study, discussed in previous studies, noise measurements for each radius of concrete track and frequency analysis, followed by the radius of the curve in order to investigate vibration characteristics of urban railway sector sharp curve radius less than 400m and 400m ~ 1,000 m further to the point selected track components(rails, sleepers, ballast) according to the vibration measurements and analysis of the frequency characteristics and the results were derived.

Subway stations have a characteristic that the facilities in the ceiling should be checked, replaced and expanded frequently. The new installation of supports (steel anchors) for new facilities and workers moving-around in the ceiling result in the damage in the ceiling finish material and concrete structure which also result in construction cost increase. In addition, the noise, vibration and dust generated during the work harm the station environment. There are civil complaints on these which give difficulty to ceiling works. Accordingly, this study suggests a ceiling frame construction method that considers the convenience, economy and efficiency of ceiling work by improving the support installation method for facilities in ceiling.

The railway industry has well developed with Korea's economic growth as follows - Industrial railway's electrification in 1973, Seoul subway opening in 1974, Busan subway opening in 1985, High speed railway opening in 2004. But LRT as city transportation means has been faced with many difficulties. Looking at the LRT projects implemented until now, there are some issues like the transportation demand, the quality & safety of RS and facilities, the poor management of inhabitant complaints and the failure to maintain policy coherence. They have caused not only the project schedule to extend but also the project costs to increase, even to obstruct the project progress itself in some cases. These risk factors become the obstacle of LRT project's success, but it is said that more basic problem is the lack of risk management capability of competent authorities in railway business. Under these circumstance, Railway specialized Authorities and Local government have cooperated to identify various risk factors and to prepare the measures in advance, so we try to introduce this cooperation case, which will help other local government as an useful reference.

The urban railway has been planned not only the subway, but also the elevated railway in Seoul, South Korea. Therefore, it is steadily increasing civil complaints for railway noise passing through that residential district. In this paper, we focused on noise of squeal characteristics induced by interaction between railway vehicle's wheel and rail. Then we selected the point that carried out scattering water droplet to the rail and compared the noise level of the watering test results before and after. Scattering water test results showed that level of the noise reduced intermittently occurring high frequency characteristics of squeal noise as well as overall noise level. In the future, we will apply the sensor to the sprinkling system for noise reduction where the place of existing squeal noise is, and make a suggestion of this solution will be more economical, environmental-friendly, and appropriate to reduce the squeal noise occurred by railway vehicle than others.

In apartment buildings, floor-impact sound has bean regarded as the major source which induces complaints from residents. It is mainly due to the use of light-weight structures. The vibration produced by impact on one part of an apartment building would travel as far as the other parts of structure with a little alleviation. As a result, the impact sound from upstairs has been regarded as a main source of noise causing discontentment among occupants. This study was carried out to measure the floor-impact sound levels and evaluate the insulation performance of floor-impact sound for nine apartment buildings. The floor-impact sound levels were measured for twenty-five On-dol floor structures and various factors which influence the floor-impact sound were analyzed.

Cardiac involvement in hydatid disease is more seldom than the involvement of the liver and the lungs. Cardiac cyst hydatid disease is diagnosed incidentally or by means of symptoms such as dyspnea and angina pectoris. Here, we present the case of a 45-year-old male patient who underwent open heart surgery for a randomly detected cardiac cyst hydatid during investigations carried out in a healthcare institution after accidentally falling from height. On the other hand, this patient did not have any complaints associated with hydatid disease before this event.

Objectives : This study is about two patients of drug-induced secondary parkinsonism caused by antipsychotic drugs. The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effects of Sasang constitutional medicine. Methods : These two patients were treated by Sasang constitutional herbal medications based on "Donguisusebowon". We evaluated the symptoms through the score of the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS). Results and Conclusions : The patients' chief complaints were improved. This study shows that Sasang constitutional herbal medications are an effective treatment for drug-induced secondary parkinsonism patients, but further studies are still necessary.
