To understand the formation and evolution of a sedimentary basin in basin analysis and modelling studies, it is important to analyze the thickness and age range of sedimentary layers infilling a basin. Because the compaction effect reduces the thickness of sedimentary layers during burial, basin modelling studies typically restore the reduced thickness using the relation of porosity and depth (compaction trend). Based on the compilation plots of published compaction trends of representative sedimentary rocks (sandstone, shale and carbonate), this study estimates the compaction trend ranges with exponential curves and equations. Numerical analysis of sedimentary compaction is performed to evaluate the variation of porosity and layer thickness with depth at key curves within the compaction trend ranges. In sandstone, initial porosity lies in a narrow range and decreases steadily with increasing depth, which results in relatively constant thickness variations. For shale, the porosity variation shows two phases which are fast reduction until ~2,000 m in depth and slow reduction at deeper burial, which corresponds to the thickness variation pattern of shale layers. Carbonate compaction is characterized by widely distributed porosity values, which results in highly varying layer thickness with depth. This numerical compaction analysis presents quantitatively the characteristics of porosity and layer thickness variation of each lithology, which influence on layer thickness reconstruction, subsidence and thermal effect analyses to understand the basin formation and evolution. This work demonstrates that the compaction trend is an important factor in basin modelling and underlines the need for appropriate application of porosity data to produce accurate analysis outcomes.
This paper is focused on objective and meaning of its compilation through reviewing system, composition, method of description, and content of "Jwagyebudam". In a method of embodying figures, it has described concretely and in a three dimensions figures by recording anecdotes and poems associated with them via focusing on lifelong characteristic aspect of corresponding figures. In other words, "Jwagyebudam" can be called by biographies or character books, writings specialized in characters center among writings of method to weave freely experience. In a broad sense, it can be called a writing to cover a function of history book, poem and picture. This was located to a starting point of variation of inclusive and descriptive method. Namely, several kinds of writings in late Joseon dynasty can show aspect to fulfill specialized aspect gradually.

The Biosafety Division of the National Academy of Agricultural Science has developed a 'Crop Composition DB' that provides analytical data on commercialized crops. It can be used as a reference in the 'Comparative Evaluation by Compositional Analysis' for the safety assessment of genetically modified (GM) crops. This database provides the composition of crops cultivated in Korea, and thus upgrades the data to check the extent of changes in the compositional content depending on the cultivated area, varieties and year. The database is a compilation of data on the antioxidant, nutrient and secondary metabolite compositions of rice and capsicum grown in two or more cultivation areas for a period of more than two years. Data analysis was conducted under the guidelines of the Association of Official Analytical Chemists or methods previously reported on papers. The data was provided as average, minimum and maximum values to assess whether the statistical differences between the GM crops and comparative non-GM crops fall within the biological differences or tolerances of the existing commercial crops. The Crop Composition DB is an open-access source and is easy to access based on the query selected by the user. Moreover, functional ingredients of colored crops, such as potatoes, sweet potatoes and cauliflowers, were provided so that food information can be used and utilized by general consumers. This paper introduces the feature and usage of 'Crop Composition DB', which is a valuable tool for characterizing the composition of conventional crops.
My suggestions in this paper come out of the review of the records on the Korean-Japanese negotiations(1952-1965). Before January 2002, the enforcement of the public records law, we had a poor management system of the diplomatic records. For a long time the diplomatic records of Korean government has not been preserved and managed according to the international and professional standards. So many important records have been probably lost and unsuitably classified, preserved for the future use. By the coming of public records law this deplorable situation in the management of diplomatic records has been much improved. However the registration, classification, compilation, based on the principle of provenance were not so sufficiently realized. It is now very urgent to employ more archivists in the relevant governmental institutions and organizations, and to introduce the concept of record group for the management of diplomatic papers. Also at the preparatory work for the publication of the diplomatic papers it is strongly needed to make a room for the participation of the civil experts such as historians, archivists and political scientists. In the case of publication of the Korean-Japanese papers it is also necessary to take the relevant American and Japanese governmental records on Korean-Japanese negotiations and private records of the actors of the times into account. Moreover it must be also seriously considered to start a big project for the elaborate edition of the important records of the foreign policy of the nation.
Until now, archives of colonial era preserved in each public institution including National Archives & Records Service can be called as the results of colonial chosun government general's records management activities. However, it is a fact that only the fragment of the archives from colonial era remained in public institutions without maintaining integrity of record. Therefore, it is virtually impossible to restore operations process of the era only with current records. It is somewhat because some records were institutionally abrogated by valuation selecting standard of colonial chosun government general, but it is more likely the result of systematic destruction of documents and records upon liberation. On the other hand, although records that were being preserved by colonial chosun government general's acquisition policy escaped the systematic abrogation, the scope and target of the historical records were changed according to acquisition policy. Historical records managed by each inquiry agency of colonial chosun government general were collected to be used for fundamental information of colonial rule or compilation of Chosun history. However, archives collected by colonial chosun government general could not escape partiality as a goal for colonial rule had priority over the standpoint for recording Korean society. Although records management system of colonial chosun government general was introduced from Japanese government's system, it clearly shows colonial characteristics in the process of collecting Chosun's historical records and its use.
This study is focused on clarifying the Joseon Dynasty Period's records management system mentioned on Kyeonggukdaejeon(經國大典). Through out investigations of the legislations of public records in 'creating stage', it was revealed. that is, records in creating stage had characters of original records and those was managed as the records themselves and circulated by sending and receiving, and finally those was kept and used in each agency. Through out investigations of the legislations of public records in 'management stage', it was revealed that is, as the Records Management Organization the Chunchukwan(春秋館) was a government agency that is composed by 15 central government agencies' concurrent officials(兼任史官) and took charge of both records creating and records management, and was a central government body for compilation of the Sillok(實錄). As National Archives the Sillok was not accessible at that time. In this point the Sillok is basically different from modem archives that is preserved for use. And the Sillok was compiled from original records, In this point the Sillok is basically different from modern archives that is arranged from original records.
The Japanese colonial authority investigated and institutionalized Korea's cultural properties for the purpose of governance. This process was conducted by Japanese officials and scholars, and systematized after making some changes. The Reservation Rule (1916) and the cultural properties designated in 1934 were actually the starting point for Korea's current cultural property policy. In the view of lineup of 'committee' that consider all of cultural property and changing of 'cultural property list', this study discusses the cultural property policy implemented by Joseon's Government-General, which can be summarized as follows. First, Joseon's Government-General formed a committee (Preservation Society) to formulate the cultural property policy, and had the policy implemented by appointing Governor officials who accounted for more than half the total number of officials of the institution. Although some Koreans were concerned about this, they had no influence on the matter. Second, the cultural properties listed by Joseon's Government-General are divided into three periods according to the lists. The compilation of the first list was led by Sekino Tadashi, who represented the grading system (1909~1916); while that of the second list (1917~1933) was led by Guroita Gatsumi, who represented listing (1917~1933). Guroita Gatsumi tried to erase Sekino Tadashi's list by formulating the cultural property policy and the list - a situation that was revealed in the system and the actual contents of the list. The third list was made as a list of designated cultural properties in 1934. This list also reflected the results of Sekino Tadashi investigation of the important cultural properties at existing temples that had been excluded from the previous regulations (1934~1945). In this way, a basic framework for the listing of Korean cultural properties was established in 1934.
Three frequently used documents by researchers on the Japanese colonial period-Classified Police Records of the Japanese Government-General of korea on the Anti-Japanese Movement 舊 朝鮮總督府 警務局 抗日獨立運 動關係 秘密記錄, Trial Records of Gyeongseong District Court 京城地方法院 裁判記錄 and Filed Documents of Gyeongseong District Court 京城地方法院 編綴文書(while the latter two were collected by the National Institute of Korean History, the former was collected by Asiatic Research Institute of Korea University)-are among the same records group that the Prosecutor's Office of Gyeongseong District Court produced through registration and compilation. As contents related to ideology suppression and thought control were numerous, it could be assumed that most of the materials were produced by the 'Department of Ideology' of the Prosecutor's Office. By examining the administrative records of the 1920's within this group, the process of how the 'Department of Ideology' was formed is clearly shown. As ideological movements for Korea's independence and revolution grew, execution of regulations was further expanded by the Prosecutor's Office. Since the mid-1920's, information on ideology had been separated from general information, was routinely collected heavily, and was considered more valuable than the general information. By the end of the 1920's, the term Ideology Prosecutor 思想係 檢事(meaning a prosecutor who specializes in ideology verification) and the named 'Department of Ideology'(思想部) emerged on the records.

The purpose of this study is to explore elementary teachers' difficulties on teaching science by analyzing questions that have been posted for a long time in an autonomous online teacher community named Indischool. For this purpose, 409 question postings(the 2007 and 2009 revised curriculum, third to sixth grade) were analyzed using the framework for analyzing questions about elementary teachers' science teaching(modified from Alake-Tuenter et al., 2013). The study revealed that there were more science-SMK questions than science-PCK questions, and most of the questions were 'about lenses' and 'in 2014 and 2015, when the curriculum was changing from the 2007 to the 2009 revised curriculum'. The long-standing difficulties in science-SMK were 'an application of facts and concepts in lenses' and 'an unexpected experimental error in electricity'. In particular, there are the principle of transparent cup-shaped objects acting as lenses, the process of image formation by convex lenses, experimental errors of 'compass movement due to current flow change' and experimental errors 'serial connection of bulbs'. The long-standing difficulties in science-PCK were 'understanding and response to context' and 'understanding and response to aims mentioned in standard document' and these are not related to physical units but to others. In particular, there are request class materials, activity ideas at the end of the semester and understanding the national curriculum guidelines. These teachers' difficulties should be reflected in the science teaching support system like a teacher's guide compilation, teacher's training curriculum development, etc.
