A Study of Hotel Restaurant′s Cook Separation (호텔 조리사의 이직에 관한 연구)

  • This study is about job change hotel kitchen cook. addition, through case analysis, by choosing three hotels in Seoul, the relation job changes was found out, and through the interviews with cooking employees for more than three months, their opinions and reliabilities were collected and analyzed. The surveyed questionnaires were analyzed and studied through SPSS WIN Package, reliability analysis, factor analysis, frequency analysis, correlation, and distribution analysis and T-test were conducted to figure out the population statistical difference. According to the study results. those employees who thought kitchen environment, internal and external working conditions. the welfare for the employees are the most important factors in case of changing jobs scored over average 4 in the statistical analysis. For this reason, in order to reduce the rate of job changes the hotels efforts for and interests in appropriate compensation, improvement of working environment. continuous educational training, fair human resource management, and maintenance of good relation with co-workers are necessary.

  • It is expected that Korean restaurant business will become one of the most important contributors to the notion's economy by the year 2000. As the many visible and invisible trade barriers are tumbled down and market opening to foreign competition expedites, a strategy to solidify the competitiveness of the restaurant industry is urgently needed. Some of the strateges that need to sharpen the competity edge are as follows: 1. Development of restaurant business management knowhow and enhancement of information gathering capability. 2. Development of its own unique brand of food and service tailored to many different tastes of clientele. 3. Promotion of the industry's globalization efforts with the development of local restaurant brand & Korean traditional foods and with the expansion of foreign investment. 4. Reinforcement of staff training and provision of a compensation package to attract qualified personnel. 5. deregulation of many anachronistic laws and restrictions with government's full support for the industry to realize what it's supposed to be in the 21st century.

  • In recent years, the creation of waste recycling society has been required to cope with the traditional ways of waste treatments. In accordance with the package recycling law in force, calls for the developments of new waste treatment techniques suitable for 21st century are growing higher. A new ash melting furnace system named Eco Burner Ash Melting Furnace System has been developed. It is a burner type ash melting system in which the fluffs made of the plastics segregated from municipal solid wastes are directly fired at high temperature in the furnace. This system provides an economical ash melting system because plastic wastes or paper scraps that have heretofore been considered hard to recycle are used in compensation for fossil fuel. In this paper, we describe the ash melting test results obtained from a substantiative facility.

  • This paper proposes an Molding error compensation method that improves accuracy with geometry information of injected parts using three-dimensional measuring instrument. a traditional mold design has been conducted by an experience-based trial and error, whereby generally the mold designer would decide the gate location and processing conditions. as a natural consequence, almost all creats inferior goods. It's just a process of trial and error and caught in a vicious circle. Due to this reason, this paper uses a three-dimensional measuring instrument, a commercial analysis package of injection molding(Moldflow, MPI) to analysis a state of flux.   • The purpose of this research is to provide the apparel companies with a successful business strategy by analyzing the concept, function and current status of mileage programs; and examining how customer's attitude, recognition, experience, compensation method of the mileage program in apparel companies affect its brand loyalty. In this research simple random sampling was performed. The sample pool was based on 494 people which included college students and employed men and women in their twenties and thirties living in Seoul and in the metropolitan area. The data analysis was completed on the basis of SPSS package, using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, factor analysis, variation, Scheffe test, regression, t-test, and X/sup2/. The following results were found in this research: It is effective to maintain brand loyalty through continuous relationship with consumers as fierce competition increases in apparel companies. A mileage program is a win/win strategy that allows clothing companies to increase its sales and brand loyalty while consumers feel greater satisfaction.

Improvement of estimating method for construction management service fee by case study (사례분석을 통한 건설사업관리 대가산정 방법 개선)

  • The objective of this paper is to suggest the improvement of estimating system for construction management (CM) service fee through the analysis of the previous literatures and criteria and case study. In order to do this, this paper considered the relevance of existing criteria to estimate the CM service fee, the condition of input ratio of engineering resources in the real cases, and current utilization strategy of nonresident technical engineers. Based on the analysis, the following problems were identified; a) the different estimating system for CM fee and construction supervision fee, b) impractical estimating system for the CM fee, and c) inappropriate allocation of human resources for CM. Consequently, this paper suggested the following 4 items for the improvement of the existing system; (1) modification of the current structure of CM fee calculation, (2) rationalization of current level of the CM fee which is required to be raised approximately 5.4 percent compared to design or supervision fee, (3) securement of elasticity of the input ratio of engineering resources from the inception phase, and (4) development of the utilization strategy of nonresident engineers based on the technical requirement of the jobsite. Thus, it is anticipated that this research would affect the compensation package of CM in order to make the estimation process of CM service fee more efficient and to revitalize CM as business.

A Study for the Purchase Status of the Imported Agricultural Products and Consumers' Recognition of the Labelling for the Country of Origin in Youngnam Region (수입 농산몰의 구입실태 및 원산지표시제의 인식도에 관한 연구 -영남지역 소비자를 중심으로-)

  • The consumers' purchase experiences of some imported agricultural products (rice, sesame, garlic, onion, jujube, red pepper, oak mushroom, apple, dried persimmon) and their consciousness for the labelling of the country of origin for agricultural products in Youngnam region were examined in this study. The sample consisted of 438 women who lived in Taegu, Pusan and other cities of Kyungpook and Kyungnam, and the self-administered questionnaire for the survey was used. The main reasons to purchase the imported agricultural products were the wide distribution and low price of them. Most of the consumers were concerned about safety of the imported agricultural products but only a few people experienced unsatisfaction of the products. The price, quality, package, container, label, and safety of the examined products were evaluated worse than those of the domestic products. Generally, although they suffered unsatisfaction, the consumers did not complain because they wanted to avoid troublesome work, which means the consumers did not assert their rights. Some people did not know the labelling system for the country of origin and the place to charge the market violating it. Therefore, it will be necessary for the consumers to receive education about the labelling system for the country of origin and the compensation criteria for consumers' grievances and damages. The current labelling method for the country of origin generally met the consumers' preference but the consumers wanted to improve the position and color of the label. Most consumers could not differentiate the imported products from the domestic products. The results obtained from the survey suggest consumer education for the labelling system for the country of origin and the compensation criteria should be activated through various ways such as mass media and consumer organizations.

  • The Rotterdam Rules provide that port terminal operator may avoid or limit their liability for cargo loss, damage or delay in delivery or breach of any other obligation under the Rules by invoking the provisions that may provide a defence for, or limit the liability of, the carrier. Consequently the port terminal operator who are involved in the provision of maritime services may avoid or limit their liability for cargo loss, damage or delay in delivery or breach of any other obligation under the Rules. The port terminal operator to be applied for the Himalaya clause under the Rules must show that it has the requisite link with a Contracting State. In addition, the port terminal operator performs service to the period of time between the arrival of the goods at the port of loading and their departure from the port of discharge. The port terminal operator's liability for breaches of its obligation is limited to 875 SDR per package or other shipping units, or 3 SDR per kilogram of the gross weight of the goods. In addition, compensation for delay shall be limited to an amount equivalent to two and one-half times the fright payable on the goods delayed.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between lifestyles and clothing benefits pursuit. A questionnaire was developed to measure lifestyle and clothing benefits sought. The questionnaire was distributed and collected from 131 college female students in Tokyo. The data was analyzed by percentage, frequency, mean, standard deviation, factor analysis, reliability test, MANOVA and ANOVA by SPSS package. The lifestyles of the respondents were classified into five types such as recreational-oriented, fashion-oriented, progressive-oriented, intentional purchasing, and economics-oriented type. And clothing benefits pursuit was classified into five types such as individuality-pursuit, brand-pursuit, convenience-pursuit, fashion -pursuit, and coordination/figure flaws compensation-pursuit. The result of this study were as follows; 1) All of three lifestyle groups of appearance-oriented type, fashion-oriented type, intentional purchasing type had an inclination for individuality-pursuit, brand-pursuit, fashion-pursuit, and not an inclination for convenience-pursuit. 2) The higher the fashion-oriented and intentional purchasing, and the lower the progressive-oriented and economics-oriented were, the higher was individuality-pursuit. 3) The higher progressive-oriented and the lower recreational-oriented were, the higher convenience-pursuit was. 4) The brand-pursuit, convenience-pursuit, and fashion-pursuit were not shown to have the significant differences according to intentional purchasing group.
