Hybrid Stepping Motor의 Driving Controller 설계와 응용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Applications and Design of Driving Controller Circuit in hybrid Stepping Motor)

  • 로봇과 자동화기기에 범용으로 사용되는 Stewing Motor의 Driving을 위하여 unipolar 방식과 bipolar 방식의 Controller Circuit를 design 하였으며 특히 design시 Digital logic을 이용하여 Controller를 설계 제작하여 실험을 통해 그 응용성을 실험하였다. 또한 Motor의 효율 향상을 위하여 Motor의 Winding에 흐르는 전류를 제어하기 위하여 constant Current Limit Methode와 Constant Voltage Limit Methode를 분석하고 실재 회로 제작 시 응용하여 Motor의 효율을 향상시켰다.

자기등가회로 기법을 사용한 2상 E-core SRM의 해석에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Two-phase E-core Switched Reluctance Machines Using Magnetic Equivalent Circuit Technique)

  • The modification of magnetic structures for an E-core switched reluctance machine (SRM) comprising two segmented stator cores or a monolithic stator core is presented for ease of assembly, good manufacturability, mechanical robustness, and electromagnetic performance improvement. The E-core stator has four small poles with phase windings and two or four large poles (hereafter referred to as common poles), in between. The common poles are shared by both phases for positive torque generation during the entire operation. The E-core SRMs are compared to a conventional two-phase SRM. The comparison includes cost savings, torque, copper and core losses, and efficiency in order to validate the distinct features of the E-core SRMs. Magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC) technique is employed for proving the benefits of the E-core common-pole structure.

  • CCFL(cold cathode fluorescent lamp) are used to backlight of LCD(liquid crystal display). CCFL dimming methods are used to pulse frequency modulation(PFM) or pulse width modulation(PWM). In this paper, design of CCFL driving and control circuit by half-bridge type series and parallel resonant inverter that variable frequency modulation method to control the output voltage current. Inverter switching frequency is higher than resonant frequency for stable operating, and it is possible dimming control. On the basis of equivalent circuit, the validity of this study is confirmed by the comparison of simulation and experimental result.

  • This paper deals with the characteristic analysis of capacitor-run single phase induction motor by equivalent circuit. The unbalanced elliptic rotating magnetic field of the motor was analysed by the symmetrical coordinate method. And this paper check the reliability of characteristic analysis by equivalent circuit in comparison with experimental results and analyse the characteristics of single phase induction motors by changing circuit parameters. Finally, this paper shows the improved effiency design motor by using that result.

Flyback-type Snubber of High Efficiency for 10kV IGCT in 7MW Wind Turbine Systems

  • 10kV IGCT has been recently developed and has the potential to push wind turbine systems to higher power and voltage rating. Converters employing IGCTs need snubber and OVP circuit to limit the rate of rise of current and peak over voltage across IGCT during turn on and off state respectively. The conventional RCD snubber which is used in such power converter dissipates a significant amount of power. In order to reduce the amount of energy lost by conventional RCD snubber, this paper proposes an isolated inductor snubber circuit that not only meets all of the IGCTs characteristics during on and off-state but also significantly saves the power loss. Loss analysis of conventional di/dt snubber and OVP circuit is performed for the 3-level NPC type back-to-back VSC supplied from grid voltage of 6.9kV. In comparison with the conventional snubber, isolated inductor snubber has a fewer number of components and improved efficiency leading to a reliable and efficient wind turbine systems.

  • Recently as the inactive response characteristics of the existing RCD(Residual Current protective Device) used on low voltage power distribution system, so control of overload and electric short circuit faults, major causes of electrical fires, are not enough. Therefore, this paper is proposed a prevention apparatus using neutral line voltage and semiconductor switching devices for the prevention of electrical disasters in low voltage power distribution system caused by overload or electric short circuit faults. The proposed prevention apparatus confirms the excellent characteristics in response velocity and accuracy in comparison with the conventional circuit breaker(RCD) through various operation performance analysis.

A Japanese National Project for Superconductor Network Devices

  • A five-year project for Nb-based single flux quantum (SFQ) circuits supported by Japan's Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry (METI) in Japan was started in September 2002. Since April 2003, the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) has supported this Superconductor Network Device Project. The aim of the project is to improve the integration level of Nb-based SFQ circuits to several ten thousand Josephson junctions, in comparison with their starting integration level of only a few thousand junctions. Actual targets are a 20 GHz dual processor module for the servers and a 0.96 Tbps switch module for the routers. Starting in April 2003, the Nb project was merged with SFQ circuit research using a high-T$_{c}$ superconductor (HTS). The HTS research targets are a wide-band AD converter for mobile-phone base stations and a sampling oscilloscope for wide-band waveform measurements.

  • AC to DC single phase PWM converter for traction application requires rated high power and voltage. Therefor, series or parallel operation converters are necessary with considering the limitation of the power device specification. This paper compares the characteristic between two parallel operation of conventional PWM converter and Single phase three level converter about comparison of power circuit, cooling system control method and harmonic current by computer simulation.

  • 현대 사회에서 다양한 전기기기들의 시스템 회로를 동작시키기 위해서는 여러 직류 전원이 필요하다. 회로의 정상적인 동작을 위해 안정된 직류의 공급이 필수적으로 요구되고 이를 위한 컨버터의 중요성은 매우 크다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 부하 변동에 상관없이 출력전압의 안정적인 공급을 유지할 수 있도록 승압형 DC-DC 컨버터인 KY 컨버터에 3-극점 2-영점 전압 제어기를 적용한 PWM DC-DC 컨버터 회로를 제안하였다. 제안된 컨버터 회로의 정상 동작 특성을 입증하기 위해 기존의 컨버터 회로와 비교하여 PSIM 시뮬레이션 프로그램과 PCB 기판에서의 회로 동작 실험을 수행하였다.

고속 방전·충전 스위칭 전원차단회로 설계 제작 및 특성분석 (Implementation of crowbar circuit for high-speed discharge·charge switching and its characteristic analysis)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존 전원차단회로의 공급전원 차단 복귀 시간 지연 문제를 해결하기 위하여 고속 방전 충전 스위칭 기능을 갖는 새로운 전원차단회로를 제안하였다. 제안된 전원차단회로는 공급전원 고속 차단 후 복귀(충전) 속도를 증가시키도록 설계함으로써 전자시스템의 방사선 노출 시간과 펄스 방사선이 지나간 후 정상동작하기 위한 시간을 줄였다. 하드웨어를 구현하기 전 방전 충전 시간의 시뮬레이션은 Cadence 사의 pspice tool을 이용하여 진행하였으며 소자레벨에서 DUT(Device Under Test) 보드를 제작하였다. 전원차단회로의 비교 측정은 24V용 인공위성 전자소자를 대상으로 수행되었다. 그 결과, 제안된 회로는 기존 회로에 비하여 방전속도 96.8%, 복귀속도 27.3% 향상으로 고속 기능이 구현됨을 확인하였다.
