The P'aerim and the Taedong Yasung are the two better known among unofficial history collections of the Yi Dynasty still available. The compilers and writers of unofficial historical records generally were people without official connection with the incidents recorded, and were thus in a position to be critical in their evaluation. Therefore, in order to gain a balanced view of Korean history, these unofficial history sources must also be consulted. However, there are differences in the contents of various unofficial history collections, even though the titles may be identical. For this reason, the writer has made a comparative study on the. contents of both the P'aerim and the Taedong Yasung. As a result, various differences between the two collections are noted. This points out the need for continued research on collections of unofficial historical records.

This paper examined structural changes in export specialization of Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and China at different levels of technological intensity. The study found significant differences across these Asian economies, with most pronounced changes for exports with high technological intensity. To account for the changing export specialization, the study applied the classical Ricardian model of comparative advantages to export patterns of Japan and South Korea. We found that the export specialization of Japan was mainly determined by differences in fixed effects across industrial sectors, with changes in relative labor productivity much less important. In contrast, changes in productivity turned out an essential factor for explaining the recent export specialization of South Korea.

Sequences from the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions of nuclear ribosomal DNA were determined to assess their potential as a phylogenetic tool for Korean Acer species, including A. okamotoannum and A. takesimense which are endemic on Ullung Island of volcanic origin. Although the genus Acer has been studied by various authors, different infrageneric dispositions have been suggested, and the phylogeny of the genus has been in dispute. The variation of ITS sequences from seven species of Acer was very low among species within the same section, but comparative analysesof the molecular data obtained suggest that ITS sequences may provide enough phylogenetic resolution for sectional relationships in the genus.

Advances in information and telecommunications technology are producing unprecedented shifts in the way businesses conduct their business, Today, electronic commerce is becoming pervasive due to, in large part, the widespread use of Internet and Worldwide Web. One element that plays an important role in shaping the success of electronic commerce is the electronic payment system. Deficiency in its reliability and security may lead to unwanted outcomes, including economic losses and customer dissatisfaction. By far, numerous forms of electronic payment systems have been introduced in the virtual marketplace. However, there exists little research that has focused on the characteristics of the electronic payment systems such that they may be compared with one another. This article is aimed at providing a framework for comparative analysis of electronic payment systems, examining the characteristics of the individual payment systems, and suggesting a choice strategy which enables a firm to select an appropriate payment system suited to their business needs. The framework classifies electronic payment systems into four categories including electronic cash, electronic checks, credit cards, and smart cards, and it can be employed in planning for an electronic commerce system.

A new concept of collision energy absorbing system for ;he New Oil-tankers with Advanced Double Hull Structure(NOAHS and NOAHS II) are presented through the joint-research pro-gran between Inha and Hamburg-Harburg University. A comparative study on col vision resistance of these proposed side structures with standard double hull structure of 310K DWT class VLCC, is carried out. The fatigue investigation of structural detail parts is also included. It contains a comparative fatigue study based on pertinent regulations of Classification Societies.

Ice resistance estimation equations based on model tests and full-scale sea trial data from many previous research articles are studied. Measured ice resistance data and its empirical/semi-empirical estimation equations are summarized in common format and are compared with each other, considering three ship categories, i.e, icebreakers, tug/supply vessels, ice-strengthened cargo vessels. The most suitable estimation methods or prediction equations are recommended based on this ice resistance data analysis.

There is currently a focus on usability of interactive computer software. Previous research in software ergonomics has indicated the importance of evaluating the usability of software user interfaces. Software developers, interface designers or human foctors engineers often confront the task of comparative evaluation among systems, versions or interface designs. This study presents a structured model for comparative evaluation of user interface designs using usability criteria and measures. The proposed model consists of twomain phases : the prescreening phase ad the evaluation phase. The first phase involves expert judgment-based approach with qualitative criteria. The prescreening phase uses absolute measurement analytic hierarchy process to filter possible altermative interfaces to a reasonable subset. The second phase involves user-based approach such as usability testing, with quantitative criteria. The objective of the evaluation phase is to evaluate a subset of altermatives using objective measures. A set of criteria and measures for evaluating the usability of computer software designs is presented. The proposed model provides practitioners with a structured approach to select the best interface based on usability criteria and measures.

This research was a comparative study of children's mothers in counseling and mothers in non-counseling (comparison) groups to examine differences between groups in emotional expressiveness, ambivalence over emotional expressiveness, type of communication and parenting behavior, Subjects were 91 mothers having counseling and 133 mothers in the non-counseling group. Data were analyzed by independent samples t-test. Results showed that mothers in the non-counseling group reported more positive emotional expressiveness than the counseling group. Mothers in the counseling group reported more ambivalence over emotional expressiveness, more negative communications and more negative parenting behavior than the comparison group.

Present all sorts of failure or no failure test methods are done for evaluate structural ability of pavement. It are Plane Plate Test, CBR Test, Benkelman Beam Test, FWD, Dynaflect, etc. but, each method of test not expect compatibility because the result very different by each method of test. Now among pavement's method of evaluation, no failure test gradually use because It quickly and simply obtain pavement's elastic modulus of each layer. Therefore this research practice comparative trustworthy Plane Plate Test, comparative low cost and quick Small FWD Test. And analyzed relation of Plane Plate Test with Small FWD Test.
