In this research, we have investigated the impact of servitization on firm value focused on Fortune 500 company's alliance announcement. The Firms are categorized to understand the impact of servitization and productization. The data includes Fortune 500 companies (2009, USA). Samples used for the hypothesis tests consist of 1,057 American companies that are opened on NYSE and NASDAQ, for the years 1990 through 2010. We test four research hypotheses based upon the various theoretical perspectives in servitization. The market is selective in reacting to alliance category; service company ${\rightarrow}$ manufacturing company, service company ${\rightarrow}$ service company. The findings show that alliance is significant between service company and manufacturing company. Also, the result shows significant relationship inter-service company's alliance. We have a significant relationship between company's alliance announcement and the market value of firms and shows significant AR in financial performance. Finally, this study presents implications for manufacturing companies that pursue service-led expansion as a strategic approach and are seeking to improve market value through alliance, partnership and cooperation. Continual effort must be placed to sustain market value of the firms.

State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) are business entities that are owned mainly by the state. Good financial governance (GFG) is as important for SOEs as for the private sector companies. Prudence and GFG can affect the value of the company. This research aims to test the impact of macroeconomics, investment decisions, and financing decisions on prudence, Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure (CSRD), dividend policy, and company value of SOEs registered on the IDX from 2014-2019. GFG and financing decisions are moderating variables. The population in this study is 16 SOEs listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2014-2019. The research method is quantitative and uses Partial Least Squares (PLS), which is an approach to Structural Equation Models (SEM) that allows researchers to analyze the relationships simultaneously. The results showed that macroeconomic factors, investment decisions, financing decisions, and prudence directly affect the company's value. However, CSRD and dividend policy directly do not affect the company's value. Prudence can mediate the influence of financing decisions on company value. GFG moderates the relationship between prudence and company value. Thus, GFG is key to producing compliant regulatory reports and disclosures. GFG aims at facilitating effective monitoring and efficient control of the business. Its essence lies in fairness and transparency in operations and enhanced disclosures for protecting the interest of different stakeholders.
This work is for listing, patent, reasonable valuation of environmental-friendly agricultural company. In this study, agricultural company in environmental friendly industry that consider nature, customer's wellbeing and safe would be evaluated by DCF (Discounted Cash Flow) and ROV (Real Option Value). And company in environmental-friendly industry would be checked whether it is to be related and concerned to listing in the stock market and patent acquisition with the basis of company valuation. After then agricultural company value is evaluated with the consideration of growth in environmental-friendly industry, and company valuation comparison would followed about intellectual property right. It can be assumed that value of environmental-friendly agricultural company has low relation and concern to listing of stock market, and valuation would be increased through the intellectual property right such as patent, development or core search ability.
According to the growing importance of science and technology policy, investment in research and development (R&D) has been increased. In this context, a patent as one of outcome of firm's systematic R&D investment is the way to hold a dominant position in companies' technology competitiveness and also to protect technology right. This study attempts to find the effects of input resources and intellectual property production activity on company value. It conducted empirical analysis based on 238 KOSDAQ-listed and medium-sized firms. Using the previous research, this study configurated research variables about activity of patent production, company value, and input of resources. Through these variables, it aims to know the effect of input of resources and activity of patent production on company value. First, the result of regression analysis shows that R&D cost has the positive effect on a patent production and sales promotion cost positively affects on the registration of the trademark. Second, the output of regression analysis indicates that a patent has the positive effect on company value but a trademark has not. With regard to the input of resources, R&D cost has the influence on company value but sales promotion cost has not. This study attempts to find the effectiveness of company's intellectual property registration on its value and suggests a way that the systematic R&D investment contributes the growth of company value.

This study investigates the company value determinant by observing the effect of financial performance and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and its role in moderating performance achievement. The macro-economy variables such as inflation and interest rate are also used as the controlling variable. This research employs the sample of manufacturing companies of the food and beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study used panel data from 2013 to 2017, with the moderating regression analysis. The result shows that the profitability of the current or previous period affects the company's value. CSR and company size affect the company value at the next period shows that stock price, which reflects the investor's perception today, will be affected by the CSR, Size, and Return On Asset of the previous year. CSR also shows that it can be the substitute for profitability since a company that performs CSR is the one that has a good performance. The regression moderating model and the profitability of the previous period have a higher explanatory power than the higher R square value in explaining company value.

This paper investigates the effect of environmental performance and environmental management on firm value using financial performance as mediation variable. There are still inconsistencies in research on environmental performance and environmental management and their impact on company value. This research used a quantitative approach involving secondary data. The variables used are environmental performance, environmental management, company financial performance, and company value. Multiple regression was used because it allowed the researchers to examine the relationship of each variable contained in the research framework by describing all of the direct effects (non-mediated effects) and the indirect effects of the research variables. The research sample consisted of 144 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2012 to 2017. Statistically, this study found that there was no direct effect that had a significant impact on environmental performance and firm value, and found that there is a significant direct effect of environmental management variables on firm value. Improved environmental management by the company is proven to increase the value of the company directly. This paper found that, not only does an increase in stakeholder trust happen when a company increases its environmental awareness, but there is also an increase in the financial aspects of the company.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between intangible asset items and company value by empirical research in the medical industry, which may enhance usefulness of the results of other empirical research on intangible asset and company value. In order to attain the purpose of this study, the stock price is taken as the independent variable and all of intangible asset items reported to a balance sheet except the development expenditures and other development expenditures, and advertisement expenses, ordinary research & development expenditures reported on the income statement are taken as the dependent variables. In the following, I carried out four meaningful results from the analysis. First, research hypothesis 1; Book value of intangible asset reported in balance sheet bears positive relationship with company value shows that development expenditures 1 variable gives positive association in a significant level while a group of \10,000-above-company shows no relationship with company value, the other group of below-\10,000-company supports a consistently significant association. All this considering, we have to keep in mind that lack of prudence may leads to wrong results when we try to analyze. Second, research hypothesis 2; Intangible asset and other intangible asset expenditures reported on the income statement gives positive effect on company value shows that R&D accounts variables give insignificance in a statistical level to all company, including entire group, \10,000-above and below consistently. These results testify that current accounting system is valid. Third, in the case of other intangible asset, it requires further examination of current KAS because statistical results show negatively significant value or insignificant value in a statistical level. That means the more intangible assets, the less company value or nothing. Last, in the case of advertisement expenditure variables of above-\10,000 and entire company shows insignificances in a statistical level consistently while below-\10,000-company shows significant result coherently. We should regard accounting information on the advertisement expenditures of \10,000-below-company with caution. The results of this study provide controversial points whether intangible asset items reported on B/S, excluding development expenditures, should be regarded as asset. To facilitate the utility of accounting information on intangible asset, it seems necessary to regard advertisement expenditures reported on I/S as asset accounts. There are further arguments on the way of dealing with intangible asset under KAS that might be considered.
Purpose - The purpose of paper is to examine into corporate value of international physical distribution, which is closely related with company that is running business based on competitive power. It is good for company to gain a competitiveness throughout activities from international physical distribution, then it increases corporate value after all. Then it will be looked at how international physical distribution can influence competitiveness of company in terms of corporate value. Research design, data, and methodology - The research method to be described is first to identify concept of international physical distribution theoretically, including characteristics and structure, and then to review corporate value of international physical distribution to make company be competitive. As far as general landscape of international logistics is concerned, it is investigated into function and role of service provider, user and market situations. However, it is well proved that current market of international physical distribution is stable and bright, which means it is possible to take foreseeable future as well. Then company can share with corporate value of international physical distribution provided from logistics service provider. Results - To achieve corporate value throughout process of international physical distribution is strongly connected with competitive status of logistics service providers, those are carriers and infrastructures, and third party logistics providers. Especially in order to inquire into competitive aspects of international physical distribution in this paper, it is focused on trade volumes and overcapacity of global shipping market. Unlike it is used to be, more optimistic and positive situation has been shown since 5 years ago from the year of 2018, which means carriers make a business well, leading company to be more competitive. Conclusions - Corporate value of company in terms of international physical distribution is closely involved with competitive situations in the physically distribution, especially shipping market, which service providers can paly a key role in this regards. It can be estimated that the more market of international physical distribution works, the more competitiveness of companies increases. Ocean carriers in shipping market of international physical distribution are doing actively business well, and the corporate value can be materialized in favor of company.
Purpose - The purpose of this paper analyzes the relationship between the Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) and Corporate Value to estimate whether the characteristics of Firm can change this relationship. Design/methodology/approach - This paper utilizes the total 776 firms' data over the period 2014-2018, and develops a new ESG index which was estimated by PCA. Findings - First, the estimated ESG index implies that Large company has the highest value of CSR, while Medium sized and Small company have the relatively low one. And comparing to the case of 2014, the trend of ESG index in Large company does not decrease in 2018. Second, there is a clear and significant non linear relationship between CSR and corporate value, it implies that the U-shaped exists in the Korean Firms. Such a tendency is mush stronger in the Large company. Third, the new ESG index indicates that it takes more time to increase Firm value in the Medium sized and Small company while there is a high possibility of increasing value in Large company from the little gab between the threshold points and mean value of ESG. Research implications or Originality - The non linear tendency between the Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Value is strongly affected by Firm size and the relative high quintile of ESG, but it is less affected by Firm history.
Purpose - In recent digital information society, the most important factor of to increase the firm value of the distribution company is not the activity to increase the sales through the general advertisement of the unspecified majority by purchasing the finished product, but to grasp the needs of the consumers and to develop a new distribution platform that connects producers and consumers directly through consumer-tailored advertisements centering on e-commerce. Therefore each company in the distribution industry is spending a lot on research and development investment to innovate the distribution technology and distribution system, and the research and development investment expenditures can affect firm value. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of research and development investment expenditures in the distribution industry on market value of the firm. Research design, data, and methodology - As a research method, the sample firms are those which are listed on korea stock exchange market from 2011 to 2017 and the research model is Ohlson(1995) model, which is a representative valuation model using accounting information. This study analyzes the effect of distribution company's research and development investment expenditures and advertising expenditures on market value of the firm Results - The results of empirical analysis show that research and development investment expenditures for developing new distribution technology and advertising expenditures for promoting sales in the distribution company are all positively related to the market value of firm. Therefore, in describing market value of the distribution company, it is shown that the research and development investment expenditures and advertising expenditures together with the net asset and net profit are the important accounting information that explains the market value of firm. This result show that investment expenditures on research and development for the innovation of distribution technology of distribution company creates intangible intellectual assets and increases market value of the firm. Conclusions - The result of this study shows that research and development investment expenditures for the new distribution technology as well as the spending for the advertisement in the future is a very important investment expenditures that can increase the market value of the distribution company.
