  • Learners are often posited in a paradoxical situation where they are not fully involved in decision making processes on how to learn, in designing their tools. Cognitive artifacts in e-learning are supposed to effectively support learner-centered e-learning. The purpose of the study is to analyze cases of cognitive artifacts and to inquire those design principles for facilitating the learner-centered e-learning. Four research questions are suggested: First, it will be analyzed the characteristics of learners with respect to design of cognitive artifacts for supporting the learner-centered e-learning. Second, characteristics of four cases to design cognitive artifacts in learner-centered e-learning environment are analyzed. Third, it will be suggested the appropriate design principles of cognitive artifacts to facilitating learner-centered learning in e-learning environment. Four cases of cognitive artifacts design in learner-centered e-learning was identified as follows: Wiki software as cognitive artifacts in computer-supported collaborative learning; 'Play Around Network (PAN)' as cognitive artifact to monitor learning activities in knowledge community; Knowledge Forum System (KFS) as a cognitive artifact in knowledge building; cognitive artifacts in Courses-as-seeds applied meta-design. Five design principles are concluded as follows: Promoting externalization of cognitive artifacts to private media; Helping learners to initiate their learning processes; Encouraging learners to make connections with other learners' knowledge building and their cognitive artifacts; Promoting monitoring of participants' contributions in collaborative knowledge building; Supporting learners to design their cognitive artifacts.

Questionnaires were collected from directors, teachers, and parents of private & public kindergartens, as well as child care centers, in Bucheon city. The data were analyzed based on the frequencies, $X^2$ test, F test, and Scheffe test. The results were as follows. (a) Most directors, teachers, and parents positively agreed with the eco-centered early childhood education and recognized its benefits. (b) In order for the eco-centered early childhood education to be successful, development of various programs, systematic study, ongoing teacher training, and parents' education were required. (c) In order for the eco-centered early childhood education to develop more culturally appropriate program, close connection with local community, reorganization of the early childhood education curriculum, and government support were needed. • The mathematics education community is seeking to change a teacher-centered class-room culture to a student-centered culture. However, the real transition is not easy, even for teachers who are eager and willing to teach differently. The challenge for teachers is to use the social structure of the classrooms to nurture students' development toward mathematical ways of thinking and communicating as well as their under-standing of mathematical concepts and processes. By introducing an elementary teacher's teaching practice and professional develop-ment along with her classroom episodes, this paper is to make strides toward an enriched understanding of the culture of the elementary mathematics classrooms in which students may have a lot of opportunities to develop conceptual under standing and math-ematical disposition. This paper first provides a detailed description of the classroom flow in terms of general social norms and sociomathematical norms in order to explore how the teacher and the students have established such a student-centered math-ematics microculture. This paper then analyzes the teacher's teaching approach and professional development.

Method: Q-methodology is used to objectify role awareness of medical institution specialists who may recognize situations differently according to their individual experience and comprehension based on the view of behavior. Q-classification was carried out on 30 home health care specialists working at medical institutions using 30 selected questions. Collected data were examined through factor analysis using QUANL PC program. Results: Three different types of role awareness of home health care specialists working at medical institutions were identified. Type I is 'educational-function-centered', Type II 'patient-centered' and Type III 'professional-service-centered'. The observers followed the target child, gathering data during 30-second "windows" every 4 1/2 minutes. A total of 750 observations were used in the analyses. The findings show the variation in children's activities as a function of community differences. In the case of academic activities, children of middle-income community were more exposed to and engaged in play with academic objects more than children of the of low-income community. A reverse tendency, however, was found in academic lessons. Children of low-income community were more exposed to work than their counterparts. Children of middle-income community were engaged in child-adult conversation more than those of low-income community. In addition, children of the middle-income community initiated their involvement in play and conversation more than their counterparts, though no difference was found in children's initiation of activities.

Third, Relationship between size of owned land(paddy field and uplaned) by the head of a family and number of participating and main purpose of that "Kye" meeting of all family members in rural community. Fourth, Relationship between size of cultivated land(paddy field and uplaned) by the head of a family and number of participating and main purpose of that "Kye" meeting of all family memebers in rural community. The main results are as follows; First, there are different points by the kind of rural area in number of participating and "Kye for friendly gathering", "Kye for saving", "Kye for sightseeing". Second, variable of residence years of the head of a family is only negative influential factor in "Kye for saving". Third, variable of size of owned land is positive influential factor in total number of participating "Kye", "Kye for friendly gathering", "Kye for saving" and "Kye for sightseeing". Fourth, variable of size fo cultivated land is positive influential factor in total number of participating "Kye", "Kye for mournig and marriage", "Kye for friendly gatiering", "Kye for saving" and "Kye for sightseeing". Meanwhile, shared space can be categorized into serviced office, co-working space, virtual office, and daily office. It is to consider various target levels by leasing service or the difference of costs. It is divided into forms of dispersion, circulation, and concentration and is planned to increase the utilization of communities' traffic according to the allocation of shared office. The business is conducted network-centered. During the process of communication, members can get chances to exchange and build communities. They are making business ecosystem which they can coexist and grow together. Shared offices have a view of a solution to empty rooms and will last for a while, and it is expected that co-working system be settled as office space and giving people sense of belonging on their workspace.
