The purpose of this study is to induce the activation of public libraries in community through make use of public libraries as a plan for accomplishing regional informatization which based on regionalization and informatization. To acquire the twin goal of regional informatization and activation of public libraries, I propose a strategic plan which makes use of regional public libraries as an infrastructure of educating informatization and community-network concept. Especially those plans would cover recent background issues of super-national interest in rural welfare & development venture.

Ecomuseums come into close relationship with resident and community. Progress of heritage concept brings on the change of valuation standard in heritage, that life style of residents become most important element of cultural heritage. The change of display method has caused the generation of various experience programs in ecomuseum which are display and education based on participation of visitors and residents. Ecomuseums in Europe during progress have conceptual peculiarities by themes to keep the cultural identity and protect folk culture in regional community. 'Europe Ecomuseum Network' seriously affected by social change and development is new alternative to promote regional identity and cultural exchange among Europe countries. People participation with all residents is decisive factor to promote identity and attachment in native place, as well as collaboration with residents, experts, administrators and NGO is one factor for sustainable development and the realization of ecomuseum, activation of regional economy, and also is the root of efforts to protect and activate regional community.

The purposes of this study were to investigate the realities of community participation of young farmers and to suggest measures to activate community participation. The data were collected from 234 young farmers from rural Korea. With SPSS 13.0 program for Windows, Frequency, t-test, ANOVA, LSD for post-hoc interpretation and Factor Analysis were employed to analyze the data with statistical significance level of .05. The main results of the study and suggestions were as follows: 1) Young farmers were more likely to participate in watching television on community, discussion with others and internet search for community, while, rural youths were less likely to participate in contacting government and parliament. 2) Difficulties of community participations of young farmers were lack of time and insufficient information about participatory activities. The study suggested that young farmers should get more opportunities to participate in diverse types of active opportunities and practical information.

This study, as primary research that examines the communication characteristics of the library and the perception of librarians in order to make public libraries a communication space, surveyed the perception of librarians in public libraries and made an attempt to devise activation measures for the communication spaces of the library. As a result, the communication characteristics of the library were derived to be locality, community spirit, and interactivity. In addition, the perception survey found that librarians have positive remarks about the communication spaces of the library. As it shows a high degree of awareness, the library should focus on ways to revitalize communication. First, the direction of communication must be set in order to fulfill library's new role in communication and exchange. Second, it is desirable for the library to free itself from being a quiet space and recreate it as a space for communication. Third, the library needs to exchange and connect with organizations, groups, and gatherings of the community. Fourth, it seems necessary for the library to provide support for the users' independent and voluntary communication and operation of the community.

This study aims to analyze the satisfaction targeted community space for public rental housing tenants a real community space. and community space is analyzed only through the factor analysis of the effects of satisfaction, multiple regression analysis etc. As a result, the space community and public rental housing will only affect the satisfaction, factors affecting such analysis was 'common space', 'exercise place', 'resting place'. Thus, a variety of political and institutional efforts and practical research for interactive spatial planning public rental housing estates satisfaction for the improvement and community activation moving away from passive concept of the one-way ever to supply that community space in the past, provider centers and considering the tenant characteristics is required.

Recently designed residence complexes, there is an increasing interest in qualitative and quantitative improvement of not only the primary function of the residence, but also the community facilities designed for the convenience and welfare of its residents. Among such community facilities, an apartment's playground for children still remains in a traditional form and lacks the versatility required to satisfy the needs and interests of modern children, especially an age diverse child population. Therefore, this study intends to analyze the status of children's play facilities as community spaces, analyze the community's satisfaction with them, and suggest alternatives to the limited functions of children's play facilities in order to improve opportunities for neighbors to meet and build a stronger community.

The purpose of this study is to develop components of task and competency indicators for apartment community specialist who supports for community activations. The research process consists of three parts. Firstly, the direction of developing competency indicator set up by literature review related community, job components, and competency indicators. Second, analysing of job and competency indicators were developed and revised through focus group interview (FGI), and questionnaire survey on 6 experts in community area. Third, questionnaire survey from 20 community specialists in seoul was performed in order to analyze the importance of the competency components. As a result of this research, selected competency indicators were settled as followed : the competency indicators for apartment community specialist consisted of 3 competency clusters, 14 competency factors, 48 competency indicators. Community specialist recognized attitude and personal trait as the most important competency clusters, and understanding of community, interpersonal relations and communication skill, and vocational ethics and social responsibility as important factors in the competency indicators. The results of this study will used as tool for evaluating the job and competency of apartment community specialist, establishing professional identity of apartment community specialist, and providing an importance knowledge base for developing educational curriculum for them.

Collection and provision of information for local community by public libraries is a very important task as an infrastructure facility of local community. Therefore, in order to suggest a plan to invigorate community information service of public libraries, this study conducted a survey on users' recognition on and demand for community information service of public libraries which libraries and user perceive. Based on this survey, this study suggested a plan for invigoration of community information service of public libraries through diversification of point of contact for use of community information, development of community information contents reflecting user demand, organization of consultative councils for community information service centering on public libraries, improvement of recognition and vitalization of use of public libraries.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify relationships between experiential activity, ego-resilience, sense of community, and school life adjustment of middle school students and to provide the basic data that can contribute to the activation of experiential activities. Methods: 2,351 middle school students of panel survey conducted by National Youth Policy Institute were used in the final analysis. The structural equation model(SEM) was carried out to analyze structural relationships between experiential activity and ego-resilience, sense of community, and school life adjustment of the youth. IBM SPSS Statistics 20.0 and IBM SPSS AMOS 20.0. were used for the analysis of all data. Results: Experiential activities had a statistically significant positive effect on ego-resilience(p<0.001), school life adjustment(p<0.05), and the sense of community (p<0.001). Especially experiential activities acted on ego-resiliency, a sense of community, school life adjustment as an important parameter. Sense of community also showed to be an important mediating role between ego-resiliency and school life adjustment. Conclusions: In order to maximize the effectiveness of experiential activities, it is necessary to build the community networking enough to take full advantage of community resources and develop various experiential activities to meet the needs of youth and social change.

Purposes: Rapid aging and increase of high chronic diseases of the elderly are increasing the needs for expanding elderly care beyond the concept of treatment in medical institutions. This study is to discuss the core values, functions, and roles of municipal hospitals and suggest a suitable community care model. Methodology: The survey was collected twice derived from the domestic expert groups. This study analyzed experts' responses using Delphi method and Analytic Hierarchy Process, using Microsoft Excel 2016. Findings: Among the core values of the municipal hospitals, it was shown that community linkage had the highest priority. The publicity had the highest priority among the functions and roles of the municipal hospitals. In the community care models presented in this study, the model focused on 'Community Care Integration Center' showed highest relevance, suitability and applicability. Practical Implications: This study suggested three different community care models and derived the most suitable model for community care, which is focused on the municipal hospitals. It suggested effective application of the community care model to promote community care in each community.
