The Influence on the Information Security Techno-stress on Security Policy Resistance Through Strain: Focusing on the Moderation of Task Technology Fit (정보보안 기술스트레스가 스트레인을 통한 보안정책 저항에 미치는 영향: 업무기술 적합성의 조절 효과 중심)

  • As information security(IS) is recognized as a critical success factor for organizational growth, organizations are increasing their investment in adopting and operating strict IS policies and technologies. However, when strict IS technology is adopted, IS-related techno-stress may occur in the employees who apply IS technology to their tasks. This study proposes the effect of IS-related techno-stress formed in individuals on IS policy resistance through IS strain and proves that task-technology fit mitigates the negative effect of techno-stress. Research models and hypotheses were presented through previous studies, and the secured samples were used, and structural equation modeling was applied to verify hypothesis. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that IS-related techno-stress (overload, complexity) affected IS policy resistance through IS strain (anxiety, fatigue), and that task-technology fit moderated the relationship between techno-stress and strain. This study suggests a strategic direction for improving the level of internal IS from the viewpoint of suggesting ways to mitigate the stress of employees that may occur when IS policies and technologies are adopted.

A Study on the Perceptions of Cyber English Learners on the Usefulness of Online Grammar Checker (온라인 문법 검사기의 유용성에 대한 사이버 영어학습자들의 인식에 관한 연구)

  • The current study examined the cyber learners' perceptions of the educational usefulness of Grammarly, an online grammar checker, after it was used to provide feedback to cyber university students in a situation where the instructor could not provide sufficient feedback on their written work in English. The survey results, revealed that the majority of learners had positive attitudes to the usefulness of Grammarly. In particular, the feedback immediately available whenever needed was regarded as helpful in improving English sentences, and most learners were highly satisfied with the amount of the feedback provided by Grammarly. It was also found that Grammarly had positive effects in terms of the affective domains, helping learners to improve their interest and confidence in English writing. In particular, Grammarly was found to be effective in reducing writing anxiety in English, one of the main factors negatively affecting writing performance in English. However, along with these positive results, limitations such as inaccurate feedback and inadequate explanation of errors were also found. Therefore, when Grammarly is used for English education, it is necessary to conduct multifaceted research to develop effective teaching methods that can minimize the problems that may arise from these limitations.

  • Scaling is one of the most basic dental gum treatments and involves removing tartar that has hardened on teeth. However, inexperienced and unprofessional removal of tartar may damage the gums, resulting in excessive bleeding or damage to the teeth. For this reason, scaling must be done delicately according to the gum structure of various people, and sufficient practice must be provided. Related departments at the university are conducting scaling exercises. However, from the perspective of students who have not had sufficient practice, selecting subjects and conducting practice is not easy, and practice subjects may also avoid participating in practice due to discomfort and anxiety. Accordingly, in this study, we designed and implemented a virtual reality practice system using VR to create a virtual patient rather than an actual subject and implement various gum shapes step by step to enable repetitive practice and various scaling experiences.

Music Recommendation System for Personalized Brain Music Training Research with Jade Solution Company

  • According to a recent survey, most elementary and secondary school students nationwide are stressed out by their academic records. Furthermore most of high school students in Korea have to study under the great duress. Some of them who can't overcome the academic stress finalize their life by suiciding. A study has found that it is one of the leading causes of stimulating the thought of committing suicide in Korean high school students. So it is necessary to reduce the high school student's suicide rate. Main content of this research is to implement a personalized music recommendation system. Music therapy can help the student deal with the stress, anxiety and depression problems. Proposed system works as a therapist. The music choice and duration of the music is adjusted based on the student's current emotion recognized automatically from EEG. If the happy emotion is not induced by the current music, the system would automatically switch to another one until he or she feel happy. Proposed system is personalized brain music treatment that is making a brain training application running on smart phone or pad. That overcomes the critical problems of time and space constraints of existing brain training program. By using this brain training program, student can manage the stress easily without the help of expert.

  • This study was carried out in order to examine demographic variables and personal and working conditions affecting to self-esteem, self-efficacy and work autonomy and mental health of the dental technicians. For this study, questionnaires composed of 50 items for the measurement of psychiatric symptom, work autonomy, self-esteem and self-efficacy index and 14 items related with demographic variables and personal and working conditions were distributed to 400 dental technicians and the 304 of them were statistically analyzed the results were as the following ; 1. Self-esteem and self- efficacy in dental technicians appeared to be interacted. 2. Score of self-efficacy index was higher in dental technicians of young age, or high or professional education than in otherwise dental technicians. 3. Score of self-efficacy index was higher in dental technicians of young age or professional education than in otherwise dental technicians. 4. All of self-esteem, self-efficacy and work autonomy in dental technicians affected directly their psychiatric symptom. 5. Promotion, and communication with fellows and senior workers of dental technicians affected directly their psychiatric symptom. 6. Each of anxiety, anger, depression and cognitive disturbance appeared to be interacted.

Preference Analysis for U-City Services (U-City 분야별 서비스에 대한 선호도 분석)

  • U-City applies ubiquitous information technologies such as RFID, GPS, USN to various components of city functions and services. The concept of U-City was popularized especially in Korea and currently more than 40 projects have been carrying out all over country. U-City incorporates advanced information communication technologies into ubiquitous information services to provide better quality of life. The purpose of this study is to analyze preferences for the U-City services by surveying experts in U-City developing companies. This study employs Analytic Hierarchy Process which is very useful tool for performing multi-criteria decision making. Total of 28 responses were used in the analysis. The results indicated that the first 7 most preferred items were from transportation and safety area and environment and healthcare area and 4 out of 6 items in transportation and safety area were ranked among them. It implies that respondents consider countering anxiety caused by congested traffic, natural disasters, crimes, etc most important aspect that U-City should deal with. On the other hand, U-Port, U-Convention, U-Logistics, U-Public Administration and U-City Portal were listed as the least preferred services.

Experience of the Married Women on Contraception (가임기 기혼여성의 피임경험)

  • The study is to reveal what the married women has experienced while they were on the contraception. Data were gathered for four mothers beginning on October, 1996. Interviewees were 22 women. Data were analyzed by Colaizz's phenomenological data analysis method. Three basic structures of contraception experience were derived. Those are 'Conflict in choosing contraceptive methods', 'Dilemmar in sexual relationship', and 'Responsibility concerning contraception'. Contraception was a major task of the married women, and they difficulties, because sexual relation was usually initiated by husband and contraception by husband was negatively perceived in Korea culture. Conflict were caused by inavailability of information, side effects of contraceptive methods, and limitation of the contraceptive methods. Interviewees perceived that responsibility of contraception was on them, but they expressed feeling of anger against they burden by contraception. Most interviewees took initiation of contraception to keep their body healthy. Some of the interviewees got husband's cooperation through negotiation and shared responsibility with husband. Suggestions were as follows ; (1) Sex education, especially on communication about sex, is necessary to the married women. (2) Informations on contraception should be provided in the private environment. (3) Studies on husband's contraception experience are required to promote husband's cooperation.

  • Since the 1980's language teachers have been urged to take more communicatively oriented practice instead of traditional audio-lingual and grammar-translation instruction. However, there are many reasons why communication-centered teaching approaches haven't been easily adopted in Korea. First of all many English teachers haven't been prepared for communicative language teaching. And class size is very large. Another reason is that students' reading and writing skills are more important than their speaking and listening skills to enter colleges. But the world has been changing rapidly. We have many chances to meet foreigners and to talk to them. So many students want to improve their communicative proficiency. The purpose of this study is how to improve their communicative proficiency by performing games in English classes. There are many advantages of using games and songs in the classroom. First, games are motivating and challenging. Second, students can improve their four skills(speaking, writing, listening and reading skills) by using games and songs. Thirdly, games and songs help students to study English without their conscious efforts and to practice English repeatedly because they are interested in them. Fourthly, games and songs create a meaningful context for language use. Lastly, students can learn English with less tension and anxiety. Therefore, English games and songs are worthy of using in classes. To use English games and song more effectively, more various and useful materials have to be developed for English teachers and have to be introduced pertinently into classes.

Prescription Drug Use Behavior and Influence Factors in Veteran Patients from the Perspective of Veterans (보훈환자 시각에서의 처방의약품 사용 행태와 영향요인)

  • Objective: This study aimed to explore a veteran patients' behavior of prescribing drug use and of which influencing factors from the veteran patients' perspective through qualitative interviews. Methods: We recruited veteran patients through purposive sampling and interviewed 30 veteran patients aged 20 and over who had been taking prescription drugs. We developed and utilized an interview guide consisting of three themes for data collection. We made verbatim transcripts and analyzed data using the framework analysis. Results: Participants were aware that they had large amounts of prescribing medicines and discarded the medicines. They often used improperly by the person himself or his family or acquaintances. The factors that influenced these inefficient prescription drug usage were grouped into 'factors procuring more drugs than necessary' and 'factors being prescribed more drugs than necessary'. Anxiety about downgrading from the upper class to the lower among reward classes for veterans, and suspicion or dissatisfaction with the veteran policy caused the participants to procure more drugs than necessary. Additionally, they received too many medicines due to long-term prescriptions and lack of communication with their doctors, and poor quality of veteran health services. Conclusion: To improve the medication use behavior of veteran patients, providing information or introducing interventions for the proper medication use is not enough. Efforts should be made to improve their negative recognition over relevant policies and health care services.

A Study the Health Problems of the Living-alone Elderly Using MDS-HC 2.0 (MDS-HC 2.0을 이용한 일부 독거노인의 건강문제 조사연구)

  • Purpose: This study used MDS-HC 2.0 to identify health problems in the elderly who live alone. Method: The subjects of this study were 100 living-alone elders aged over 65 in Daegu city. This study was performed through home visiting interviews during the period from the 1st of September to the 30th of September 2005. Analysis in this study was made using SPSS Version 11.0. Results: Frequent health problems in the living-alone elderly were: preventive heath measure (90), health promotion (80), social function (78), visual function (75), depression and anxiety (61), pain and communication disorder (60), cognition (55), environmental assessment (48) and oral health (45) in order of frequency. Informal services were provided to 73% of the subjects for emotional support. IADL services were provided to 57% of the subjects, and ADL services to 66%. Conclusion: Nursing intervention programs based on health problems from MDS-HC 2.0 should be provided in order to cope with individual health problems and living-alone elders needs. The results of this study suggest that MDS-HC 2.0 is applicable to help decide nursing interventions for the elderly who live alone in community.
