  • In this paper, we describe the structure, function and the design factor of common module for KOMPSAT-2 OBC, which will be launched in 2005. By analysing OBC's performance, we can know the throughput and how much improve performance than KOMPSAT-l. it is used in the satellite mission design by system engineer. We verify the usefulness of common module for KOMPSAT-2 OBC through environment test.

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal the characteristics of Kan as a compositional unit in relation with its usage, building base, structural system, and roofing system in Seo Baek Dang and Gwan Ga Jeong. The results are as follows: Seo Baek Dang and Gwan Ga Jeong share a common characteristics: Kan module forms the plan to be 1:1 in shape and enables flexibility in usage and regularity in compositional aspect. In Seo Baek Dang, there are active level differences in base, room floor levels and column heights to achieve intended roof design while minimizing the deviation of module (500 mm) of four sides enclosing the an-madang (inner courtyard) and, in Gwan Ga Jeong, instead of differentiating levels, maximizing the module control (up to 1,560 mm) and lowering the roof slope are found. They are regarded resulting in a rather plane manner. Through a comparative analysis, it is found out that these two houses have a common characteristics of Kan to form a quadrate plan while they have differences both in conceptual and tectonic manner that is 'how to build a house' in similar conditions of region, period and society. In addition, Kan as a module is clarified to have a relative value that regulates both structural and aesthetical aspects.

  • Existing sports simulators on the market focus on the motion of platform or reality expression using basic visual contents, and are limited to entertainment products. Therefore, the stimulus on 5 senses is not good enough to be applied on high virtual reality. Moreover, there are not enough professional contents to be applied to an educational sports simulator. In this paper, we developed a sport platform by separating the multi axis based common platform module and the sports application module. We designed the common platform which has 4 degrees of freedom such as surge, sway, heave and yaw motion. This platform has the purpose of stabilizing motion and minimizing interference. The changeable sport module which is attached to the common module has 2 degrees of freedom such as roll and pitch, so that it can be applied to the various fields of 2 degrees of freedom virtual reality sports such as horse riding and yacht.

  • The thermal image device support image to detect infrared light from the object without light. It can use not only defence-related industry, but also civilian industry. This paper presents a new thermal image processing module using common image processor. The proposed module shows 10~20% performance improvement with normal mode and 50% performance improvement with sleep mode compared with the previously thermal image module based FPGA. and it guarantees high scalability according to modular system. In addition, the proposed module improves modulation and reuse, so it expect to have reduction of development period, low development cost. various application. In addition, it expect to have satisfaction of customer requirements, development design, development period, release date of product.

  • The structure of the fire control system(FCS) of a light armed helicopter and effective logistics support was taken into account in the proposed common weapon interface module(CWIM) for a distributed FCS. The pros and cons of a distributed FCS and a centralized FCS were analyzed, then a CWIM which can be applied to the weapon interface module of a distributed FCS was designed and fabricated. Integration tests between the proposed CWIM and a weapon simulator were conducted to ascertain whether or not the proposed CWIM could be applicable to a distributed FCS. We expect that the CWIM design approach method secured through this study will be helpful in mitigating cable work of the FCS which will be applied to a Light Armed Helicopter and controlling various weapons.

  • We implement the PBSM (Protocol-Based Security Module) system which guarantees the secure data transmission under web circumstances. There are two modules to implement for the PBSM architecture. One is Web Server Security Module (WSSM) which is working on a web server, the other is the Winsock Client Security Module (WSCSM) which is working on a client. The WSCSM security module decrypts the encrypted HTML document that is received from the security web server The decrypted HTML document is displayed on the screen of a client. The WSSM module contains the encryption part for HTML file and the decryption part for CGI (Common Gateway Interface). We also implement the proposed idea at the web system.

  • In this paper, a new design method for Assembly Line Control System(ALCS) is presented. This system consists of five independent modules having their own specific functions such as production management, facility management material management, quality management, and remote control. To implement the ALCS, we propose design of the common data management module(CDMM). This module has the roles of integrating the above five modules and of communicating the common data between them. Using this method, we realize an information management method in the view of CIM. In addition, we standardize the inter-communication of common data between machines having different interface protocols.

  • The windows games and the console games that use DirectX occupied 20% or more of world game market and that are developed by C++ Language occupied 75% or more of the market. This study proposed that commonality and variability for code of the 20 projects based on DirectX and C++ is analysed and patternized, that common modules are created, and that modules are modeled. As a result of applying a case study, it is verified that the proposed model reduces effort in game development.

  • In this paper, the navigation computer design of RPV(remotely piloted vehicle) using GPS is investigated, and its hardware and software structures are described. The proposed hardware adopts the common PC configuration by using 5016A micro PC card and software is divided into several modules such as navigation module, guidance module and control module, etc. The performance of the navigation computer is verified through PILS(process in the loop simulation).

  • An A-module M is catenary if for each pair of prime submodules K and L of M with $K{\subset}L$ all saturated chains of prime submodules of M from K to L have a common finite length. We show that when A is a Noetherian domain, then every finitely generated A-module is catenary if and only if A is a Dedekind domain or a field. Moreover, a torsion-free divisible A-module M is catenary if and only if the vector space M over Q(A) (the field of fractions of A) is finite dimensional.
