In this paper, we introduce the concept of a system of asymptotically quasinonexpansive type mappings. Furthermore, we define a $k$-step iterative sequence approximating common fixed point for a system of asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive type mappings and study its stability in real Banach spaces.

The purpose of this paper is to study an implicit iteration process with errors and establish weak and strong convergence theorems to converge to common fixed points for a finite family of generalized asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mappings in the framework of uniformly convex Banach spaces. Our results extend, improve and generalize some known results from the existing literature.

In this study, we investigated how to protect personal healthcare information when constructing OMOP (Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership) CDM (Common Data Model). There are two proposed methods; to restrict data corresponding to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) PHI (Protected Health Information) to be extracted to CDM or to disable identification of it. While processing sensitive information is restricted by Korean Personal Information Protection Act and medical law, there is no clear regulation about what is regarded as sensitive information. Therefore, it was difficult to select the sensitive information for protecting personal healthcare information. In order to solve this problem, we defined HIPAA PHI as restriction criterion of Article 23 of the Personal Information Protection Act and maps data corresponding to CDM data. Through this study, we expected that it will contribute to the spread of CDM construction in Korea as providing solutions to the problem of protection of personal healthcare information generated during CDM construction.

In this paper, we propose a rendezvous mechanism for cognitive radio networks. In this mechanism, no prior knowledge of wireless nodes is required and it is totally distributed. Node can simply choose one of two strategies to rendezvous with its neighbors. The main benefit of this mechanism is eliminating the use of common control channel and centralized controller.

The object of this paper is to emphasize the role of 'common limit range property' and utilize the same with variants of R-weakly commuting mappings for the existence of common fixed point under strict contractive conditions in metric spaces. We also furnish some interesting examples to validate our main result. Our results improve a host of previously known results including the ones contained in Pant [Contractive conditions and common fixed points, Acta Math. Acad. Paedagog. Nyhàzi. (N.S.) 24(2) (2008), 257-266 MR2461637 (2009h:54061)]. In the process, we also derive a fixed point result satisfying $\phi$-contractive condition.

We report on a case of thrombosis of the left common iliac artery following anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF) of L4-5 in a 79-year-old man with no previous medical problems, including peripheral vascular disease. After completing the ALIF procedure, the surgeon could not feel the pulsation of the left dorsalis pedis artery, and the oxygen saturation ($SaO_2$) had fallen below 90% from pulse oxymetry on the left great toe. Thrombectomy was successfully performed after confirming the thrombus in the left common iliac artery using Computed Tomography (CT) angiography. Thrombosis of the common iliac artery is very rare following ALIF. However, delayed diagnosis can lead to disastrous outcome. Although elderly patients have no cardio-vascular disease or vessel calcification in pre-op evaluation, the possibility of a complication involving L4-5 should be considered.

The numbers of books, news articles, and documentary films on whales and dolphins have increased dramatically in Korea. The translation of 37 species with established Korean names, as reviewed and reported by Sohn et al. (2012), Kim et al. (2010), and Kim et al. (2013) in those books and public media, was not a problem. However, 52 cetacean species, which do not have proper Korean names, have been translated into Korean, causing confusion in the public. This short note suggests Korean translations for common names that have no Korean names based on the origins of the English common names, recent scientific information, and books on cetaceans.

In TFT-LCDs, as the display size area becomes larger, and the resolution higher, we have to consider the image degradation effects due to the incorporation of the TFT-LCD parameters such as the data-line resistance, the common electrode resistance, the data-line to common parasitic capacitance, and the output characteristics of driver ICs. One of the degradation effects is crosstalk resulting from the coupling between the source bus-line and common electrode. Since a source signal which represents a large number of display data is supposed to vary frequently, the common signal level is affected through the coupling effect, resulting in the degradation of nearby pixel drive signals. Therefore, we proposed a method to compensate for this source-common electrode coupling effect, we also designed and experimented the feasibility of our crosstalk compensation circuit in the actual TFT-LCD. We saw that the newly designed compensation circuit greatly reduced the crosstalk in display pattern image.

NCW is a new operational concept for modern warfare to improve the ability to conduct combat by connecting command and control system via network. To realize NCW integrating information sharing system between multiple platforms, CDL is considered as a key component for high-speed transmission of ISR data. Accordingly, further studies to enhance the performance of CDL are being performed around the world, and our government has also developed self-reliant CDL, MPI-CDL. However, the maximum data rate and networking performance of current CDL still fall short of the objective to enable multiple systems to share the large ISR data. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the development flow and international technical trends of CDL, and present an approach for enhancing data rate and networking capacity of the next generation CDL.
