  • Purpose: A significant amount of public opinion about nurse bullying is expressed on the internet. The purpose of this study was to analyze the linkage structures among words extracted from comments on internet articles related to nurse workplace bullying using semantic network analysis. Methods: From February 2018 to April 2019, comments made on news articles posted to the Daum and Naver web portal containing keywords such as "nurse", "Taeum", and "bullying" were collected using a web crawler written in Python. A morphological analysis performed with Open Korean Text in KoNLPy generated 54 major nodes. The frequencies, eigenvector centralities, and betweenness centralities of the 54 nodes were calculated and semantic networks were visualized using the UCINET and NetDraw programs. Convergence of iterated correlations (CONCOR) analysis was performed to identify structural equivalence. Results: This paper presents results about March 2018 and January 2019 because these months had highest number of articles. Of the 54 major nodes, "nurse", "hospital", "patient", and "physician" were the most frequent and had the highest eigenvector and betweenness centralities. The CONCOR analysis identified work environment, nurse, gender, and military clusters. Conclusion: This study structurally explored public opinion about nurse bullying through semantic network analysis. It is suggested that various studies on nursing phenomena will be conducted using social network analysis.

  • This research investigates the media consumers' behavior with behavioral economics perspective, especially regarding TV content viewers' behavior; how do online communications influence TV viewers' decision when choosing a new TV content among options. We focus on quantity and attribute of comments or reactions on the online news articles. We analyze that online communications data, which were generated before the first broadcast, affect the TV content consumers' choice for a new TV series. Here we identify a predicted utility, experienced utility and distinction bias in TV media consumption to find the effectiveness of the first viewing choice on whole TV series' episodes. To avoid the crucial influence by exogenous factors, such as season and social issue, the test was done with specific conditions. This research found that the total number of reactions to the comments by itself positively affects the audiences' decision-making behavior for a new TV content choice. This influence was regardless of favor/ non-flavor reactions. This study contributes to the literature on media economics and management by exploring the media content users' consuming behavior and making a first step for finding an important influencer on the media content consumption.

  • This research investigates how users of Bilibili, a video sharing website based in China have responded to carbon neutrality. By conducting quantitative textual analyses on 3,311 comments on Bilibili using LDA topic extraction and content statistics, this research discovers that: (1) Bilibili users have assigned more weight to geopolitical topics (56.3%) than energy (22.0%) and environmental topics (21.7%). (2) When assessing carbon neutrality, Bilibili users considered geopolitical (53.8%) and energy factors (15.8%) more heavily than factors related to the class (9.2%), economy (8.9%), environment (8.7%), and definition (3.6%). (3) More Bilibili users had negative (64.6%) attitudes towards carbon neutrality, with only a small portion of them expressing positive (26.8%) and neutral (8.6%) attitudes. (4) Negative attitudes towards carbon neutrality were mainly driven by geopolitical concerns about the West's approach to China, other countries' free-riding on China's efforts and the West's manipulation of rules, doubts about the feasibility of energy transition and suspicion of capitalists exploiting consumers through this concept. This research highlights the geopolitical concerns behind the environmental attitudes of Chinese people, deepening our understanding to psychological constructs and crisis sensitivity of Chinese people towards environmental issues.

Dental marketing strategy is necessary to construct a better dental health environment in order to cope with customers' changes and desire. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the positive comments by word-of-mouth experience, quality of dental clinic service and customer satisfaction among dental patients. The study surveyed 5oo subjects being treated at 6 dental clinics in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. It was conducted from March 22 to April 9, 2010. The subject groups with a positive experience through word - of - mouth who had a perception about the quality of dental clinic service (p<.001) and customer satisfaction (p<.001) were higher than other groups who had no comments on their dental treatment and clinics. The results showed that there was a correlation(r=. 852, p<.001) between the positive comments by word-of- mouthabout the quality of dental clinics service and customer satisfaction. The perception of dental clinic service and patients' satisfaction with positive comments by word of mouth was highly recognized by older and more experienced patients of dental treatment. Therefore, the results suggest that empirical information on important factors about strategic marketing lead to positive comments by word of mouth experience for patients in dental clinics.

This article examined the Chinese largest SNS (Weibo) users as research objects, and combined the development status of SNS in China. This article focuses on the influence to consumer's purchase intention in three aspects: number of comments, consumer involvement level, and consumer appealing method and examines how the interaction of the number of comments and consumer appealing method affects the purchase intention. An investigation was conducted on 400 users of SNS and using valid questionnaires to perform reliability analysis, validity analysis, independent sample t-test, and double factor variance analysis using SPSS21. The research results indicated that the number of comments and rational appealing method had significant effect on the purchase intention. The mediating or controlling the purchase involvement level will disturb the influence of the number of comments but will have no effect on the information appealing method.

  • This study examined how students revised their writing after reciprocal peer review and how their revision activities were influenced by the review. Undergraduates in physics class wrote a laboratory reports, exchanged comments with peers, and revised their reports afterward based on the comments they received from their peers. The comparison between the original and the revised drafts showed that students were mainly concerned with micro-meaning revisions, focusing on making changes on individual words, clauses, and sentences. Revisions that dealt with macro-meaning of the texts were not as frequent. Giving and receiving comments influenced later revision activities. Receiving comments on micro-meaning of the texts led to a significant increase in both micro- and macro-meaning revisions. Receiving comments on macro-meaning of the texts, however, did not prompt relevant revision activities. Even when students engaged in macro revision, it was negatively related to writing performance gains in one subgroup, suggesting that even after peers point out macro-problems in their writing, students are not competent to solve the problems yet. The results of the study suggest that more efforts are needed to help them to understand and manipulate the macro-meaning structure of the texts.

  • This study aimed to investigate the extent that users participated in Facebook of U.S. state archives and the types of user responses to posts on the Facebook. For the purpose, data created between August 1st and September 30th in 2016 were collected from Facebook continuously operated by 27 state archives. The extent of user participation was measured based on the number of user comments, the number of unique commenters, and the average number of comments per post. According to the measures, top 10 Facebook of state archives were selected. Out of these, Facebook of Ohio (1st), Florida (5th) and Arkansas (10th) state archives were chosen to collect 687 user comments and 132 posts. The analysis showed that comments regarding users' emotional opinion and judgement, adding explanations to a post, and sharing personal stories occupied a large portion. Interactions among users or between a user and an archivist were also identified. With regard to posts, those for sharing information/knowledge of records held in archives were identified as a high percentage. The study suggested that archives should collect and present historical information and related records connected to users' lives, examine methods for effective communication with users via social media and facilitate publicity and outreach services of archives based on shaping and maintaining online user community through social media.

  • The purposes of this study were to reveal the backgrounds, process, and evaluation of the "Forest Survey Project(1910)" and to determine the influence of the "Comments on the Classification of Forest Land Ownership in Korea(1910)", which was based upon the results of the project, on forest policy in the early period of the General-Government of Korea. The forest survey project was conducted by two Japanese, Kiuchi and Saito, to understand the forest distribution in the Korean Peninsula by ownership and stand. However, the accuracy of the project was very low due to the lack of budget and time. Especially, village forests and special easement forests in the northern peninsula were classified into the Nation Forest without Administration caused by the informality and arbitrariness of the survey. Nevertheless, the General-Government of Korea used the results of the survey for establishing the forest policy on the classification of the forest land ownership in Korea at that time. The "Comments on the Classification of Forest Land Ownership in Korea(1910)" was based upon the results of the survey as mentioned above. The comments was realized as colonial forest policy through the Forest Ordinance in 1911 and a series of policies consolidating the modern forest ownership. To conclude, the "Forest Survey Project" was used to establish colonial forest policy in the early of the General-Government of Korea while its accuracy was truly low. Moreover, the "Comments on the Classification of Forest Land Ownership in Korea" had a great influence on the formulating the directions and details of colonial forest policy in Korea under the rule of Japanese Imperialism.
