  • The Purpose of this study is to research the problems of trade restriction for an environment protection. Environmental regulation relate to trade are Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna & Flora, Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, Kyoto Protocol to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes & Their Disposal, Cartagena Protocol on Biosafty and WTO Agreement. Regulatory action for environmental protection has economics instrument, command & control, liablity, damage compensation, voluntary agreement. In the case of our country, impact of regulatory action for environmental protection is low. Because is recognized position of developing country yet. For in the balance rules of trade and enviroment, First must satisfy WTO's basic principles and principle of quantitative restrictions prohibition, Second, operation of protection action must reasonable and objective standards Third, must satisfy GATT article 20 (b) clause and (g) protestation each essential factor To grow for environment advanced country, we should do i) using of FTA ii) international cooperation strengthening for developing country position iii) construction of environment information network

  • This paper proposes a modified hysteresis current control method based on space vector modulation. The proposed method differs from former works in that it uses effective voltage vectors instead of zero vectors while not significantly increasing the circuit complexity. The circuit uses outer band that is slightly wider than the usual current limit band (inner band) to detect the phase of current command and thereby the region information. The comparator output signals associated with the inner and outer band are used to determine the proper voltage vector that minimizes the current error and number of switching, with simple logic circuitry. The utilization of effective voltage vector is of particular importance when the ac-side emf is relatively large. Both the simulation and experiment show that the proposed method is more effective than the conventional one that uses zero vectors, in reducing the number of switching over a range of ac-side emf variation.

  • This paper describes a gait algorithm and a velocity limitation method for a Leg-Wheel Robot. The gait algorithm enables the robot to preserve continuous locomotion even if the velocity command varies extensively. The velocity limitation method restricts the commanded velocity when it exceeds the mechanical limitation of the robot. Combined use of the velocity limitation method with the gait algorithm ensures the continuity of locomotion, and makes the gait pattern efficient with a long step length and low frequency of leg phase change. These methods can be applied to locomotion on unexplored rough terrain even if the range of roughness is unknown.

  • A quadruped stair robot introduced here plays a role in monitoring and moving some place where an operator can not reach or when he may not keep watching. It has several features that travels and poses variable position by four caterpillars and quadruped typed arms, transmits an image and command data via RF wireless and network communication. The robot can balance itself when it moves up and down on a slope by using the quadruped mechanism. The robot vision scans ahead before it moves, and the captured image is transferred to a main computer via a RF image module. The main computer analyzes the obstacle, and when it is found the obstacle, the robot avoids from the obstacle and keep moving f...

  • A lot of researches have been done in teleoperation field. For accurate and reliable teleoperation, force reflection is required so that the master can feel the same force, which is measured at reflection have been applied to most of the master device. Therefore the master can not control the force exerted by the slave robot to the environment. But some tasks such as an insertion with very small tolerance, skewing bolt and so forth, require the force command from the master.

  • The structure of satellite was of six parts of control system, power system, thermal control system, remote measurement command system, propellant system and thrust system. In these parts, propellant system consists of propellant tank and thrust device. What we want to perform is optimum design to minimaize the weight of propellant tank. In order to design optimal propellant tank, several parameters should be adopted form the tank geometry like the relative location of the lug and variation of the wall thickness. So the analysis was executed by finite element analysis for finding optimal design parameters. The structure was devided into 3 parts, the initial thickness zone, the transitional zone, and the weak zone, whose effects on the pressure vessel strength was investigated. Finally the optimal lug location and the three zone thickness were obtained and the weight was compared with the uniform thickness vessel.

  • EEG(Electroencephalogram) provides a possibility of communicating between a human and a computer, called BCI(brain computer interface). EEG evoked by a movement has been often used as a control command of a computer. This study is to predict human movements by EEG parameters showed significant consistency. Three undergraduate students were asked to move both hands and foots thirty times respectively. Each movement consisted of single and three consecutive movements. Their EEG signals were analyzed to obtained ERD(Event Related Desynchronization) and ERS(Event Related Synchronization). The results showed that ERD and ERS could be used as a significant classifier identifying either single movement or repetitive movement of human limbs. The number of repetition of movement could be used to various control commands of a computer.

  • This paper is about the development of 80[kW] IPMSM(Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) drive system for an electric vehicle. MTPA(Maximum Torque per Ampere) operation and flux-weakening operation for the optimal torque control of the IPMSM are presented. In this system, the torque control of the IPMSM is achieved by using the look-up table, which gives d- and q-aixs current references for the given torque command in the MTPA operation and flux-weakening operation regions. This look-up table is made by current injection tests, and from which the motor parameters are also estimated. The proposed system is verified by the experiment on the electric vehicle drive system, which consists of an 80[kW] IPMSM and an IGBT inverter.

  • High Speed Rail Train Control System consists of CTC, IXL and ATC. IXL and ATC perform train control and command via interchanging relevant information between a signal room and CTC. However, it is proved that IXL and ATC are attributed to train delay error since those systems are highly sensitive to trackside conditions. Especially, network error on IXL blocks transmitting signal information to adjacent signal room so that its effects give rise to system overall problems. In order to figure out the measures for which minimizing the occurrence rate of train delay error due to HSR TCS, This paper is performed analysis on communication network structure, the length of SSI network roof and SSI-TFM distance by examining and analyzing the error cases related to IXL in a network aspect.

  • In this paper, a new adaptive cross-coupling control (CCC) algorithm with an improved contour error model is proposed to maintain contouring precision in high-speed nonlinear contour machining. The proposed method utilizes variable controller gains based on the instantaneous curvature of a contour and the feedrate command. The proposed method is evaluated and compared with the conventional CCC for nonlinear contouring motion through computer simulations. The simulation results show that the proposed CCC improves the contouring accuracy more effectively than the existing method.
