Indoor air quality is an important determinant of human health and comfort. However, the complexity of pollution sources and the multitude of parties responsible for creating indoor exposures makes the improvement of air quality difficult. The KTX HVAC(Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning) system is important facility to provide comfortable environment passenger service. The Ministry of Environment is planning to enforce$\square\square$Indoor Air Quality Management law in Public Facilities$\square\square$in year 2008. Hereupon, the train and the subway are included. In this research air quality in the KTX Train compartment has measured. As a result, The average amounts of PM10(particulate matters), $CO_2$(carbon dioxide)measured $20{\mu}g/m^3$, 1,097ppm in KTX respectively. There are compare to regulation the value is 10% for PM10 and 43% for $CO_2$. Thus, the indoor air quality of KTX train have been proved satisfy the recommendation the Ministry of Environment guidelines.

The aim of the research was to evaluate the characteristics of indoor thermal environment and thermal sensation in the traditional Ondol room. Indoor thermal factors including air temperature, operative temperature, floor surface temperature, relative humidity, PMV, OT were measured, and survey was carried out to understand subjective responses of resident's related to indoor thermal environment in Ondol room. The analysed houses are: the Chung hyo dang(the head house of Ryu family in Andong) and the Pyeung won jung(the traditional house in Yesan). The purpose of the survey was to know the relationship between resident's sensation and thermal environmental indicators such as air temperature, relative humidity, floor surface temperature, OT. The experimental results have pointed out how Ondol room may lead to comfortable and uniform indoor thermal environments.

Today rapid change in information and economy takes the changing of office design. It is very important to understand about the needs of employees and working environment. To promote the efficiency and comfort of the working environment, diverse employee's working characteristic and individual requirements have been observed. To build a good working environment, flexibility of space and communication between employees and employer in the office are very important. Due to the business growth, "K" financial company requires more working space. The design idea for the main areas such as the executive officer's room, the reception, the elevator hall, the conference rooms and the working areas in this project targets the harmony of the functionality and the aesthetic. This project could be able to deliver more convenient and comfortable working place by adopting three main concepts, which are modern, simplicity and moderation.

The concept of dwelling space is tend to be changed not only to have reasonable mobility but also to have high quality of indoor air with psychologicaa satisfaction and comfortable. Moreover, recent constructed buildings have a big problem because of exhausted pollution gas and particles from building materials. More serious problem occurs from its high air tightness reducing the ventilation for saving the energy and superior adiabatic insulators to have high heat efficiency. Indoor air quality in super high-rise dwelling house was investigated by measuring pollutants such as $CO_2,=;CO,\;MO_2,\;R_n,\;TSP,\;PM_{10}$, HCHO, Offensive ordor. Subjective evaluation of residential environment is processed for the inhabitants who live in research space by testing environmental load in accordance with environment morphology, exterior environmental factor and post occupancy correlation and influence of attention.

This study makes a general view of human-, natural environment, actual condition of use, management and administration of Sissinghurst castle garden and proposes the following directions for our model of herb industry, herb garden plan with the analysed results. 1) The location of herb garden should be selected at a place where Is close to scenic spots, sight-seeing place or big city and conveniently situated, 2) For the basic design of herb garden, the ecological features, human -, natural environment should be analysed and for the implementation of the plan, it should have variety and coordination to give the pleasure and appreciation to the users. 3) For the plan of herb garden, time limit system and number limit admission have to be introduced by calculating carrying capacity so that the user can have a comfortable atmosphere and the garden should be environment - friendly.

The purpose of this study is to design a new self-governing body's civil service office ahead the period of provincial autonomy. The present civil service office has a linear and contrary structure and conglomates a single unit. But a new civil service office must have a comfortable structure, dividing a minimum unit per department, equpping a ordinary entrance, a creative image, a warm environment and a curved and orthogonal form.

The street lighting needs to provide safe and comfortable environment together with producing good atmosphere suitable for the pedestrian's various needs. Thus, the choice of the street lighting fixtures should be based on the needs of the them and the necessities of the street rather than the precedences or appearances. This study proposes street lighting fixtures based on the need of the street lighting and also analyzes the problems of current fixtures.

In order to maintain comfortable life environment around railroad site, noise from train itself, and to train & rail interaction, and the vibration transmitted through the ground should be controlled to the extent of permissible level. In order to achieve this, the basic railroad noise & vibration data such as magnitude and frequency characteristics of them are necessary to establish the counterplan for railroad noise & vibration. In this study, we measured and analysed the characteristics of time variation, frequency, direction and distance attenuation of noise and vibration of the railroad between Seoul and Pusan.
