  • In this paper, we measured the electrical and optical characteristics of an electrodeless fluorescent lamp system as product of the inside and outside of the country and compared the measured data. Output current wave of domestic 150 W is unstable than it's of Endura 150 W. But the former of spend time after discharging and output current value is small than the latter. And optical characteristics(brightness, flux, color rendering index, efficiency) value of the former is a little small than the latter. In conclusion, if we improve a little more quality then we must secure the superiority in competition.

Power consumption wave of domestic 150 W is unstable than it's of Endura 150 W. Optical characteristics(luminance, luminous flux, color rendering index, efficiency, CIE chromaticity coordinate) value of the former is a little small than the latter. In conclusion, if we improve a little more quality then we must secure the superiority in competition.

LED램프의 광학 및 분광분포 특성 연구 (A Study on Optics and Spectral Energy Distribution Characteristics of LEDs lamp)

  • 본 논문에서는 파랑, 녹색, 호박색 빨강색, 백색 등 고휘도 5mm LED(light emitting diode)의 기본적인 분광분포(SED: spectral energy distribution) 특성을 분석하였으며, LED램프의 중요한 광학 특성인 광속, 효율 피크 파장$({\lambda}p)$, 가중치 평균 파장, 반치폭(FWHM, $\Delta\lambda$), 색도좌표, 주 파장, 자극순도(Pe)와 휘도순도(Pc) 등을 측정 및 실험하였다. 제시된 LED램프의 특성 데이터는 앞으로 LED램프를 사용한 새로운 조명등기구를 개발하는데 많은 도움을 줄 것이며, 이러한 측정 데이터들은 조명용 광원으로서 LED램프의 사용 대체 가능성을 나타낸다.

  • Yellow-emitting $Y_3Al_5O_{12}$:Ce nanocrystalline phosphor and orange-emitting CdS:Mn/ZnS core/shell quantum dots were prepared by a modified polyol and a reverse micelle chemistry, respectively. To compensate a poor color rendering index of YAG:Ce nanocrystalline phosphor due to the lack of red spectral component, CdS:Mn/ZnS quantum dots were blended into YAG:Ce. Based on spectral evolutions in the blended systems, hybrid white light emitting diodes are fabricated and characterized.

  • PLS(Plasma Light System) is one of the electrodeless lamp discharged by micro wave. In this new lamp has high efficacy and CRI(Color Rendering Index). It is mainly composed of microwave part and optical part. Microwave parts consist of magnetron, wave-guide and cavity-mesh, while optical parts consist of bulb, mirror and reflector. In this paper, we studied experimentally the heat-resistance and temperature distribution characteristics of bulb in PLS.

In conclusion, if we improve a little more quality then we must secure the superiority in competition.

  • 최근 마이크로파 방전에 의한 고압 2-원자 분자인 InBr중기는 고연색성(high color rendering index, CRI)의 백색광 발광원으로 주목 받고 있다. 잘알려진 무전극 황전등은 최고 효율이 173 lm/W까지 시연되어 알려진 모든 인조 광원 중에서 가장 높은 효율을 보인 혁신적인 광원이다. 이에 비해 InBr방전등은 무전극 황전등에 비해 효율은 떨어지지만 거의 완벽한 CRI(95이상)를 보이기 때문에 차세대 projection display의 발광원으로 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 원편파 마이크로파 이용하여 무전극 InBr방전등의 입력전력의 변화와 InBr의 양 변화에 대한 특성(휘도, 상관색온도, 스펙트럼, 등)에 관한 실험결과를 보고한다.

Glass Remote Phosphor 구조를 갖는 백색 LED 패키지의 형광체 함량과 열처리 온도 최적화 (Optimization of Phosphor Contents and Heat-treatment Temperature in White LED Package with Glass Remote Phosphor Structure)

  • In this research, a 6W white LED package with a Glass Remote Phosphor was developed to improve the life of an LED package. The Glass Remote Phosphor was fabricated by the Phosphor in Glass (PiG) method, wherein phosphor YAG:Ce was mixed with glass frit and then heat treated. A paste with 75wt.% of a phosphor substance and 25wt.% glass frit was coated on a glass substrate two times using the screen-printing technique and heat-treated at $800^{\circ}C$ ; this structure gave a luminous efficacy of 136.1lm/W, color rendering index of 74Ra, and color temperature of 5,342K, thus satisfying the requirements as a light source for lighting. Moreover, an IES LM-80 accelerated life test was conducted on the same LED package for 6,000h in order to estimate the L70 lifetime based on IES TM-21. The results showed guaranteed lifetimes of 213,000h at $55^{\circ}C$, 245,000h at $85^{\circ}C$, and 209,000h at $95^{\circ}C$.

실리콘 리플렉터를 적용한 고효율 고출력 LED 패키지 개발 (Development of High Efficiency and High Power LED Package for Applying Silicone-Reflector)

  • We developed high-efficient 6W-LED package with simple structure by applying Heat Slug and silicone-reflector. LED package was manufactured in $8.5{\times}8.5mm$ sized multi-chip structure having thickness of $500{\mu}m$ achieved by bonding silicon-reflector with prepreg on top of the plate after implementing the reflector placed on copper substrate Half Etching by thickness of $200{\mu}m$. The luminous flux, luminous efficacy, correlated color temperature, color rendering index and thermal resistance of developed LED was evaluated, and it verified the application of products by applying it to 120W-LED road luminaires through simulation. The luminous efficacy of LED package reached over 130lm/W, and it is possible to be manufactured into 120W-LED road luminaires using 18 packages. In addition, the simulation results showed average of horizontal illuminance and overall illuminance uniformity that is suitable for three-lane road.

Highly Luminescent (Zn0.6Sr0.3Mg0.1)2Ga2S5:Eu2+ Green Phosphors for a White Light-Emitting Diode

  • Green phosphors $(Zn_{1-a-b}M_aM^{\prime}_b)_xGa_yS_{x+3y/2}:Eu^{2+}$ (M, M' = alkali earth ions) with x = 2 and y = 2-5 were prepared, starting from ZnO, MgO, $SrCO_3$, $Ga_2O_3$, $Eu_2O_3$, and S with a flux $NH_4F$ using a conventional solidstate reaction. A phosphor with the composition of $(Zn_{0.6}Sr_{0.3}Mg_{0.1})_2Ga_2S_5:Eu^{2+}$ produced the strongest luminescence at a 460-nm excitation. The observed XRD patterns indicated that the optimized phosphor consisted of two components: zinc thiogallate and zinc sulfide. The characteristic green luminescence of the $ZnS:Eu^{2+}$ component on excitation at 460 nm was attributed to the donor-acceptor ($D_{ZnGa_2S_4}-A_{ZnS}$) recombination in the hybrid boundary. The optimized green phosphor converted 17.9% of the absorbed blue light into luminescence. For the fabrication of light-emitting diode (LED), the optimized phosphor was coated with MgO using magnesium nitrate to overcome their weakness against moisture. The MgO-coated green phosphor was fabricated with a blue GaN LED, and the chromaticity index of the phosphor-cast LED (pc-LED) was investigated as a function of the wt % of the optimized phosphor. White LEDs were fabricated by pasting the optimized green (G) and the red (R) phosphors, and the commercial yellow (Y) phosphor on the blue chips. The three-band pc-WLED resulted in improved color rendering index (CRI) and corrected color temperature (CCT), compared with those of the two-band pc-WLED.
