색상특징과 웨이블렛 기반의 특징을 이용한 영상 검색 (Image Retrieval Using the Color Feature and the Wavelet-Based Feature)

  • In this paper we propose an efficient content-based image retrieval method using the color and wavelet based features. The color features are extracted from color histograms of the global image and the wavelet based features are extracted from the invariant moments of the high-pass band image through the spatial-frequency analysis of the wavelet transform. The proposed algorithm, called color and wavelet features based query(CWBQ), is composed of two-step query operations for efficient image retrieval: the coarse level filtering operation and the fine level matching operation. In the first filtering operation, the color histogram feature is used to filter out the dissimilar images quickly from a large image database. The second matching operation applies the wavelet based feature to the retained set of images to retrieve all relevant images successfully. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm yields more improved retrieval accuracy with computationally efficiency than the previous methods.

Color temperature transformation of high dynamic range images

  • Estimation and correction of color temperature of digital images are basis of white balance adjustment after image acquisition stage. White balance is one of the most important image processing techniques for subjective image quality enhancement. Correction of color temperature is applied for white balance adjustment or for changing the mood of a picture. A picture taken under the daylight can be changed to have a mood of sunset or cloudy day, for example. We evaluate color temperature transformation of high dynamic range images in linear and log domain, and we conclude that linear domain transformation shows better results.

  • This paper proposes a novel lossless coding scheme for Bayer color filter array (CFA) images which are generally used as internal data of color digital cameras having a single image sensor. The scheme employs a block-adaptive prediction method to exploit spatial and spectral correlations in local areas containing different color signals. In order to allow adaptive prediction suitable for the respective color signals, four kinds of linear predictors which correspond to 2 ${\times}$ 2 samples of Bayer CFA are simultaneously switched block-by-block. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme outperforms other state-of-the-art lossless coding schemes in terms of coding efficiency for Bayer CFA images.

A Perception-based Color Correction Method for Multi-view Images

  • Three-dimensional (3D) video technologies are becoming increasingly popular, as it can provide users with high quality and immersive experiences. However, color inconsistency between the camera views is an urgent problem to be solved in multi-view imaging. In this paper, a perception-based color correction method for multi-view images is proposed. In the proposed method, human visual sensitivity (VS) and visual attention (VA) models are incorporated into the correction process. Firstly, the VS property is used to reduce the computational complexity by removing these visual insensitive regions. Secondly, the VA property is used to improve the perceptual quality of local VA regions by performing VA-dependent color correction. Experimental results show that compared with other color correction methods, the proposed method can greatly promote the perceptual quality of local VA regions greatly and reduce the computational complexity, and obtain higher coding performance.

  • JPEG is good for full color representation but is poor in quality of image because of the small size and the losing compression ways. GIF is a kind of format style made for image - transmission in Compuserve which is a method of PC communication in U. S. A and now is used in world wide web owing to the efficiency of file compression and transmission. But GIF only is used 256 colors, so the images in web has a poorer quality of colors effect to be compared with those of printed catalogues. Also there can be licence problems when the images is used for commercial uses because the possession is Compuserve. The PNG is a way that the total advantages of JPEG and GIF. PNG image file is a more skillful (bitmap display unit), shows a high quality image like TIFF image about, gives superior compression , a 10% to 30% represents full color, 256 color, gray like JPEG. GIF file which uses LZW compression file is a thing which pays licence, In other hands, PNG is free from licence and more skillful image processing method against image error, and it is possible to conserve the color information. Therefore, this treatise is about how various images which are utilized for commercial printings in web, can be made into PNG files about the compression file. And the representation of image by compared the G]U images with JPEG images as well as compression file and the representation of image the superiority of color representation. In addition, 1 check out how much ranges the PNG files are available for electronic publish printing.

  • Introduction : Laryngeal lesions were observed using the OLYMPUS EVIS-200 electronic videoendoscope system attached to the OLYMPUS ENF-200 rhinolarynx endoscope portion. This endoscope portion can be introduced into the laryngeal cavity by inserting it through the nasal passages. Since it is also possible to connect the OLYMPUS EVIP-230 digital image processor capable of processing dynamic images in real time to this system, an attempt has also been made to process the dynamic color images of laryngeal lesions obtained with the electronic videoendoscope system. Structure enhancement and color enhancement were peformed as processing images. The images of laryngeal lesions obtained with this system and the processed images are presented and described from the standpoint of diagnostic usefulness (omitted)

3D 입체영상을 위한 색온도와 색 일치 보정 (A Correction of Color Temperature and Consistency for 3D Stereoscopic Images)

  • 3D 입체영상의 색 보정은 전체의 화질에 영향을 미치는 중요한 과정이다. 기존의 색 보정 방법들은 좌, 우 영상 중에서 밝기 정보 또는 칼라 채널별로 히스토그램을 바탕으로 하여 어느 한쪽을 기준으로 일치성을 강화하는 처리를 한다. 히스토그램을 기반으로 색 보정을 하는 경우, 충분한 색온도 변환이 이루어 지지 않아 색조의 보정이 어려운 단점이 있으며, 본 논문에서는 히스토그램을 사용하지 않고 색온도 변환을 중심으로 색 보정하는 방법, 색 일치를 통한 색 보정 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 색온도 보정 방법은 동일한 조명환경에서 촬영된 영상들에 대하여 화소 당 평균 색 오차(CIE-${\Delta}E$ 기준) 3 정도로 일치되는 결과를 나타냈고 기존 방법도 유사한 성능을 보였다, 색 일치 보정 방법은 서로 다른 조명하에서 촬영된 좌우영상들에 대하여 색 오차 9이며, 기존의 방법은 18로 나타났다. 기존 방법에 비하여 제안한 방법이 좌우 영상의 색 일치 처리에서 우수한 성능을 보였다.

중복된 칼라 히스토그램과 공간 정보를 이용한 내용 기반 화상 검색 시스템 설계 및 구현 (LDesign and implementation of a content-based image retrieval system using the duplicated color histogram and spatial information)

  • Most general content-based image retrieval techniques use color and texture as retrieval indices. Spatial information is not used to color histogram and color pair based on color retrieval techniques. This paper proposes the selection of a set of representative in the duplicated color histogram, the analysis of spatial information of the selected colors and the image retrieval process based on the duplicated color histogram and spatial information. Two color historgrams for background and object are used in order to decide on color selection in the duplicated color histogram. Spatial information is obtained using a maximum entropy discretization. A retrieval process applies to duplicated color histogram and spatial to retrieve input images and relevant images. As the result of experiment of the image retrieval, improved color his togram and spatial information method hs increased the retrieval effectiveness more the color histogram method and color pair method.

  • As seen in constant reference to our modern are as the 'Information Age', our daily lives are flooded with a variety of information. Under such circumstance, efficient management and distribution of information are increasingly needed. When it comes to office environment, the role of furniture is very important because furniture must be placed in the office and it also serves as an essential component to improve work efficiency. As the importance of furniture increases, office furniture reflects diverse needs. That is to say, office furniture is used to partition space while reflecting mental and emotional state of workers in the office. At this backdrop, it can be perceived that office goes beyond a place where work is done. In order to contemplate how office and office furniture enhance work efficiency and create pleasant, delightful office environment, the study in this paper identified and examined overall color images of office, and color use and color preference in office furniture. The purposes of this study were: 1) to identify the use of and preference for color images of office 2) to analyze the color images of office furniture and understand its color use and color preference; 3) to understand the color use and color preference in office storage furniture.

열산화에 의한 티타늄의 발색효과 (Color Evolution in Anodized Titanium)

  • We investigated the oxide thickness and color evolution with the oxidation temperatures between $370^{\circ}C$ and $950^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes in an electric furnace. Oxide thickness and color index were determined by cross sectional field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) images and digital camera images, respectively. We confirmed that thermal oxidation was suitable for the mass production of color-titanium products, while coloring process window was narrow compared with anodizing oxidation process.
