Overlay Text Graphic Region Extraction for Video Quality Enhancement Application (비디오 품질 향상 응용을 위한 오버레이 텍스트 그래픽 영역 검출)

  • This paper has presented a few problems when the 2D video superimposed the overlay text was converted to the 3D stereoscopic video. To resolve the problems, it proposes the scenario which the original video is divided into two parts, one is the video only with overlay text graphic region and the other is the video with holes, and then processed respectively. And this paper focuses on research only to detect and extract the overlay text graphic region, which is a first step among the processes in the proposed scenario. To decide whether the overlay text is included or not within a frame, it is used the corner density map based on the Harris corner detector. Following that, the overlay text region is extracted using the hybrid method of color and motion information of the overlay text region. The experiment shows the results of the overlay text region detection and extraction process in a few genre video sequence.

  • This paper deals with the car paint sequencing problem (CPSP) that the entrance sequence is to same colored group with maximum sequenced cars for the buffer arriving cars from the body shop. This problem classified by NP-complete problem because of the exact solution has not obtained within polynomial time. CPSP is aim to minimum pugging number that each pugging must be performs at color changing time in order to entirely cleaning the remaining previous color. To be obtain the minimum number of moving distance with window concept and minimum number of pugging, this paper sorts same color and arriving sequence. Then we basically decide the maximum length section color time to winner team using stage race method. For the case of the loser team with no more racing or yield to loser team and more longer stage in upcoming racing, the winner team give way to loser team. As a result, all cars(runners) are winner in any stage without fail. For n cars, the proposed algorithm has a advantage of simple and fast with O(nlogn) polynomial time complexity, this algorithm can be get the minimum number of moving distance and purging for all of experimental data.

Multi-View Color Video and Depth Map Coding based on HEVC (HEVC 기반 다시점 컬러 영상 및 깊이 정보 맵 부호화 방법)

  • This paper proposes a method to efficiently encode multi-view color videos and depth maps. The proposed coding method for multi-view color videos and depth maps can improve the coding efficiency by additional inter-view prediction, as well as inter-frame prediction. By means of the proposed method, we achieved the coding gain of approximately 55% for 2-view color videos and approximately 12% for 2-view depth maps. For 3-view case, we found that the proposed system yields 54% of coding gain from outer view color videos and 56% of coding gain from center view color videos, respectively. Moreover, for 3-view depth map case, approximately 11% of coding gain from outer view and 13% of coding gain from center view are obtained with the proposed coder, respectively.

  • Recently, female announcers in the baseball programs on television are drawing attention to their fashion. This study analyzes the shape, color, material, detail, and accessory of female announcers in the baseball programs broadcasted by KBS N SPORTS, MBC SPORTS+, SBS Sports, and XTM. The characteristics of their fashion were classified into reliability, popularity, differentiation, attractiveness, and dynamics. The analysis showed that the fashion of the female announcers of KBS N SPORTS showed reliability in shape, color, material, accessory, popularity, and differentiation in detail. For MBC SPORTS+, the popularity was shown in shape, color, material, and attractiveness was shown in detail. For SBS Sports, the differentiation and attractiveness were shown in material, and the differentiation and dynamics were shown in accessory. For XTM, the attractiveness and dynamics were shown in shape, the differentiation and dynamics were shown in color, the dynamics were shown in material, and the popularity was shown in accessory.

  • Visual art elements can most intuitively express the information expressed by a game character and play an important role in shaping a successful game character. We compares and analyzes the role design in the skins of the "Five Tiger-like Generals" series in Glory of Kings in terms of color, line, graphic and other visual elements. Different visual elements form different visual impacts and influences, which brings people different psychological feelings and presents different emotional colors. The reasonable use of visual elements gives people a refined visual experience and a comfortable psychological feeling, adding more influencing factors to the "immersion" of the game. It not only can strongly attract the attention and love of players, but also spreads traditional culture of the nation and the country. Therefore, whether the visual art elements of a game character can be appropriately used is an important part of the success of the game work. The analysis of visual art elements of game characters has important learning and research value.

  • The advantage of the distance learning universities based on the 4th Industrial Revolution is that anyone can conveniently take lectures anytime, anywhere on the web. In addition, research has been actively conducted on the effect of light color and temperature control upon student performance during online classes. However, research on how the conditions of subjects, lighting colors, and music selection improve the degree of a student's concentration during online lectures has not been completed. To solve these problems in this paper, we have developed automatic analysis system SW for the weak subjects of learners by applying intelligent analysis algorithm, have proposed and simulated music therapy and art therapy. Moreover, It proposed in this paper an algorithm for an automatic analysis system, which shows the weak subjects of learners by adopting intelligence analysis algorithms. We also have presented and simulated a music therapy and art therapy algorithms, based on the blended learning, in order to increase students concentration during lecture.

Sensorial Information Extraction and Mapping to Generate Temperature Sensory Effects

  • In this paper, a method to extract temperature effect information using the color temperatures of video scenes with mapping to temperature effects is proposed to author temperature effects of multiple sensorial media content automatically. An authoring tool to apply the proposed method is also introduced. The temperature effects generated by the proposed method are evaluated by a subjective test to measure the level of satisfaction. The mean opinion score results show that most of the test video sequences receive an average of approximately four points (in a five-point scale), indicating that test video sequences (with the temperature effects generated by the proposed method) enhance levels of satisfaction.

  • Tracking of an object in 3D space performed in real-time is a significant task in different domains from autonomous robots to smart vehicles. In traditional methods, specific data acquisition equipments such as radars, lasers etc, are used. Contemporary computer technology development accelerates image processing, and it results in three-dimensional stereo vision to be used for localizing and object tracking in space. This paper describes a system for tracking three dimensional motion of an object using color information in real time. We create stereo images using pair of a simple web camera, raw data of an object positions are collected under realistic noisy conditions. The system has been tested using OpenCV and Matlab and the results of the experiments are presented here.

Object Tracking with Histogram weighted Centroid augmented Siamese Region Proposal Network

  • In this paper, we propose an histogram weighted centroid based Siamese region proposal network for object tracking. The original Siamese region proposal network uses two identical artificial neural networks which take two different images as the inputs and decide whether the same object exist in both input images based on a similarity measure. However, as the Siamese network is pre-trained offline, it experiences many difficulties in the adaptation to various online environments. Therefore, in this paper we propose to incorporate the histogram weighted centroid feature into the Siamese network method to enhance the accuracy of the object tracking. The proposed method uses both the histogram information and the weighted centroid location of the top 10 color regions to decide which of the proposed region should become the next predicted object region.

Improving Accuracy of Instance Segmentation of Teeth

  • In this paper, layered UNet with warmup and dropout tricks was used to segment teeth instantly by using data labeled for each individual tooth and increase performance of the result. The layered UNet proposed before showed very good performance in tooth segmentation without distinguishing tooth number. To do instance segmentation of teeth, we labeled teeth CBCT data according to tooth numbering system which is devised by FDI World Dental Federation notation. Colors for labeled teeth are like AI-Hub teeth dataset. Simulation results show that layered UNet does also segment very well for each tooth distinguishing tooth number by color. Layered UNet model using warmup trick was the best with IoU values of 0.80 and 0.77 for training, validation data. To increase the performance of instance segmentation of teeth, we need more labeled data later. The results of this paper can be used to develop medical software that requires tooth recognition, such as orthodontic treatment, wisdom tooth extraction, and implant surgery.
