충돌유형별 회전교차로 사고모형 개발 (Development of Accident Models by Collision Type at Roundabout)

  • This study deals with traffic accident of roundabout by collision type. In pursuing the above, this study gives particular attention to developing the appropriate models using Tobit model. The main results are as follows. First, three Tobit models (by collision type) which are statistically significant(their $R^2$ values are 0.858, 0.918 and 0.859) are developed. Second, t-test results show that there are no differences between the predicted and actual values. Finally, such the common variable as traffic volume, and such the specific variables as diameter of central island, the number of circulatory roadway, approach width and average of the number of approach are adopted in this study.

자동차보험 과실기준 기반 자동차사고유형 체계화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Classification of the Car Accidents Types based on the Negligence Standards of Auto Insurance)

  • According to the Korean Traffic Accident Analysis System (TAAS), more than 200,000 traffic accidents occur every year. Also, the statistics including auto insurance companies data show 1.3 million traffic accidents. In the case of TAAS, the types of traffic accidents are simply divided into four; frontal collision, side collision, rear collision, and rollover. However, more detailed information is needed to assess for advanced driver assist systems at intersections. For example, directional information is needed, such as whether the vehicle in the car accident way in a straight or a left turn, etc. This study intends to redefine the type of accident with the more clear driving direction and path by referring to the Negligence standards used in automobile insurance accidents. The standards largely divide five categories of car-to-car/motorcycle /pedestrian/cyclist, and highway, and the each category is classified into dozens of types by status of the traffic signal, conflict situations. In order to present more various accident types for auto insurance accidents, the standards are reclassified driving direction and path of vehicles from crash situations. In results, the car-to-car accidents are classified into 33 accident types, car-to-pedestrian accidents have 19 accident types, car-to-motorcycle accidents have 38 accident types, and car-to-cyclist accidents are derived into 26 types.

자동차 사고 재고성을 위한 충돌 해석 (Impact Analysis for Vehicle Accident Reconstruction)

  • We have developed a planar impact model with a capability of reverse calculation to reconstruct various types of automobile collisions. This topic is the main part of what is referred to as accident reconstruction. The model uses the principle of impulse and momentum, and introduces a restitution coefficient and an impulse ratio at the impact center. Based on the car-to-car collision test results, we present how to estimate the restitution coefficient and the impulse ratio from some impact conditions. To validate the model and improve its reliability in accident analysis, the collision analysis has been performer with the estimated parameters. The analysis and experimental results agree well in the kinetic energy loss and the post-impact velocity.

  • Saigon Port within the port system of the Vietnam Maritime sector is one of the port having highest throughput and productivity in the country. The marine traffic of Saigon water ways is the heaviest in Vietnam and the number of marine accidents in this area are much higher than the others area in Vietnam. In order to reduce the risk of the accident in Saigon fairway, this paper concentrates on marine accident frequency in this area. The marine traffic and the marine accident were analyzed to find out the probability of vessel collision and the marine traffic risk. It follows that the main shipping route through Saigon fairway has the high risk of ship-ship collision.

TGV-K 전체 차량의 충돌안전도 해석 연구 (Collision Analysis of the Full Rake TGV-K on Crashworthiness)

  • Described in this paper is the result of a study on collision analysis of TGV-K using 1-dimensional model for crashworthy design. Crashworthy design of the front end is very important because majority of the impact energy (more than 70%) is absorbed by the crush of the front end when the train is collided with an obstacle like a tank lorry. Guideline for the crashworthy design can be described from the collision analysis of the whole train using a 1-dimensional model. Since the headstock of TGV-K is not designed in a crashworthy point of view, a conceptual design of the headstock to improve crashworthiness is suggested and evaluated using 1-dimensional collision analysis. The suggested design, which adopts an energy absorber and a crashworthy headstock, shows a good behaviour on the accident scenario of SNCF (collision at 110 km/h against a movable rigid mass of 15 ton).

  • 본 연구는 청주시 4지 신호교차로를 대상으로 한 교통사고를 다루고 있다. 연구의 목적은 143개 교차로 사고자료를 이용하여 사고유형별 특성을 비교분석하고 모형을 개발에 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 정면충돌, 후미추돌, 측면직각, 접촉, 차로변경접촉 등의 모형을 개발하는데 중점을 두고 있다. 분석된 주요결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째 가산자료모형 설정을 위해 과산포 검정을 한 결과 음이항 회귀모형이 선정되었다. 둘째, 통계적으로 설명력이 높은 5개의 음이항 모형이 개발되었다. 셋째, 공통변수(ADT)와 특정변수를 활용하여 모형의 차이가 비교 분석되었다.

충돌사고 감축을 위한 어선의 대응 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Requirement to the Fishing Vessel for Reducing the Collision Accidents)

  • 해양안전심판원에 따르면 선박의 등록 척수는 점차 줄어드는 추세이지만, 전체 해양사고 척수와 충돌사고 척수는 증가 추세를 보이고 있다. 2008년부터 2012년까지 최근 5년간 해양사고 발생 현황을 분석해 보면, 해양사고에서 충돌사고가 37 %로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 이러한 충돌사고에서 어선이 58 %로 가장 많이 발생되었는데, 그 중에서도 20톤 미만의 소형선박의 충돌사고가 26 %로 가장 많은 것으로 확인되었다. 또한, 충돌사고의 절반이 넘는 56 %의 선박이 충돌직전까지 상대선박을 발견하지 못한 것으로 분석되었는데, 이러한 사실은 충돌사고가 대부분 경계소홀로 인하여 발생한 것임을 알 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 충돌사고를 줄이기 위해 어선의 운항특성 및 운항과 관련된 제반 규정을 검토하여 어선의 승선 인원, 교육 및 훈련, 그리고 항해장비 측면에서 개선 및 보완할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

Design for AEBS Test Scenario Applying Domestic Traffic Accidents

  • This study is a study on the development of AEBS test scenarios for traffic accidents in Korea, and was compared and analyzed using the Traffic Accident Analysis Program. To ensure the safety of passengers and pedestrians in traffic accidents, the number of cars equipped with ADAS is increasing rapidly at all car manufacturers in each country. For traffic accidents used in this study, the domestic traffic accident database (ACCC) produced by SAMSONG was used. Domestic traffic accidents differ from overseas traffic accidents in terms of road type, signal system, driver's seat location and number of vehicles. ACCC databases, which supplemented and reinforced these differences, built a database based on the PC-CRASH program. In the study, we analyze the types of accidents to develop comparative scenarios for each type of road and collision type of traffic accidents. When the road types of traffic accidents in Korea were divided into five types and the collision types were divided into six, it was confirmed that the most types of FRONT-SIDE crashes appeared at the intersection. It is expected that the frequency of possible traffic accidents and collision types can be predicted according to the road type in the accident database, we that it can be used as an AEBS test scenario development suitable for the domestic road environment.

  • 본 논문에서는 작업/고속이동/케빈 회전 동작 중에 주변 360° 전방위에 있는 작업자와 장애물을 98% 이상 자동 인식하고 충돌경고를 안내하고 운전자에게 시야각을 확보해주는 충돌사고 예방 기술을 개발하고자 한다.

첨단안전장치 장착 버스의 사고사례 분석 (Analysis for Traffic Accident of the Bus with Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS))

  • Recently a traffic accident of heavy duty vehicles under the mandatory installation of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) is often reported in the media. Heavy duty vehicle accidents are normally occurring a high number of passenger's injury. According to report of Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, FCW (Forward Collision Warning) and AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) were associated with a statistically significant 12% reduction in the rate of police-reportable crashes per vehicle miles traveled, and a significant 41% reduction in the rear-end crash rate of large trucks. Also many countries around the world, including Korea, are studying the effects of ADAS installation on accident reduction. Traffic accident statistics of passenger vehicle for business purpose in TMACS (Traffic safety information Management Complex System in Korea) tends to remarkably reduce the number of deaths due to the accident (2017(211), 2018(170), 2019(139)), but the number of traffic accidents (2017(8,939), 2018(9,181), 2019(10,095)) increases. In this paper, it is introduced a traffic accident case that could lead to high injury traffic accidents by being equipped with AEB in a bus. AEB reduces accidents and damage in general but malfunction of AEB could occur severe accident. Therefore, proper education is required to use AEB system, simply instead of focusing on developing and installing AEB to prevent traffic accidents. Traffic accident of AEB equipped vehicle may arise a new dispute between a driver's fault and vehicle defect. It is highly recommended to regulate an advanced event data recorder system.
