소비자 라이프스타일 유형에 따른 화장품 구매행동 - 중국과 한국의 여대생 비교를 중심으로 - (A Study on Lifestyle and Cosmetics Purchasing Behavior - Focused on the Comparison of Korean and Chinese Female College Student -)

  • The main purpose of this study is to analyze how differences in lifestyle affect the consumer decision making process on Korean and Chinese consumers. We conducted a survey on 210 female college students to gather the data needed. Through this study we were able to distinguish five different type of lifestyles; the confident, the charismatic, the vogue pursuing, the competitive, and the sociable. We also found out that the consumers of Korea and China with different lifestyles act differently throughout the decision making process. Chinese consumers were more influenced by advertising than Korean consumers. Korean and Chinese consumers also showed a difference in the perception of cosmetic prices, purchasing motivations, types of cosmetics, and where it was made from. Both Chinese and Korean consumers are influenced by salesperson more than any other marketing variables at point of purchase. The findings of this study are expected to help marketer make successful marketing strategy for cosmetics business in China.

오가닉 의류제품에 대한 대학생 소비자의 품질평가기준과 구매의도 (The Consumers' Evaluative Criteria of Quality on The Organic Clothes and Their Purchase Intention)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 오가닉 의류제품의 미래의 실소비자들이라 할 수 있는 대학생소비자를 대상으로 오가닉 의류제품의 평가를 위한 품질 속성들을 찾아서 이를 범주화함으로써 평가기준의 근거를 마련하고 각각의 속성들이 대학생 소비자의 인구통계학적 특성에 따라 수행하는 역할에 대하여 살펴보며 대학생 소비자의 품질평가에 따른 향후 구매의도와의 관련성을 알아보고자 하였다. 조사 대상인 대학생들의 오가닉 의류제품에 대한 평가기준 요인으로는 "심미상징성", "관리성", "기능성"의 3요인으로 나타났다. 결과 첫째, 인구통계학적 특성 중 성별, 관련전공, 용돈에서 오가닉 의류제품의 평가기준과 유의한 차이를 보였으며 연령, 거주지역, 가족소득에서는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 둘째, 대학생 소비자의 오가닉 의류제품 구매경험집단이 오가닉 의류제품의 평가기준인 "심미상징성", "관리성", "기능성"의 모든 요인에 대해 비구매집단보다 더 중요하게 고려하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 오가닉 의류제품 평가기준에 따라 향후 구매의도 집단과 구매의도가 없는 집단에 따라 차이가 있는 것을 알 수 있었는데 "관리성", "기능성"은 두 집단 간에 유의한 차이가 있었다.

사회계층과 과시적 소비 및 의복가격차원에 관한 연구 - 여대생을 중심으로 - (The Study on Social Class and Conspicious Consumption Related to Dimensions of Clothing Price)

  • In this study, we examined relationship among social class, conspicious consumption, dimensions of clothing price, and clothing buying behavior. The data were obtained by 290 female college students using questionnaire. The questionnaire were consist of four parts, dimensions of clothing price, conspicious consumption, clothing buying behavior, demographic factors. And the data were analysed with frequency, $x^2$-test, factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA and Duncan test. The results were as follows. First, there was significant differences in social class and their attitude on dimensions of clothing price. Upper class consumers evaluate clothing price as Quality and dignity, on the other hand, lower class consumers perceived it as tendency for discount. Second, clothing selective standards was founded significantly different in social class. Clothing symbolic factor was more important to the upper class then lower class. Third, upper class consumers had a tendency of purchasing more clothes than lower class, and spend more money on clothing. Fourth, there was significant differences in conspicious consumption group and their attitude on dimensions of clothing price. Fifth, when conspicious consumption tendency is higher, importance of clothing price is highly perceived by college student. Sixth, Amount of clothing purchase and clothing expenditure were significantly different in conspicious consumption group. Consumers tend to buy more clothes and spend more money on clothes when they had high tendency in conspicious consumption.

소비자의 내적 특성이 의복충동구매행동에 미치는 영향 -감각추구성향, 의복탐색행동, 점포유형을 중심으로- (The Effects of Consumers Psychological Characteristics on the Impulse Buying Behaviors of Apparels)

  • EThe purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships of consumers psychological characteristics, store types and impulse buying behaviors of apparels. We collected data from 469 consumers of women college student living in Pusan and analysed by factor analysis, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, t-test and $\chi$$^2$-test. The results were as follows: First, The sensation seeking tendency consisted of the Change seeking, Risk seeking, Artistic seeking, Curiosity seeking and Unusual seeking. The exploratory behavior of apparels were divided into six factors; Particularity exploration, Innovation exploration, Store exploration, Brand royalty exploration, interpersonal exploration and brand-seeking exploration. Second, In comparison with the unimpulse-buying group, the impulse-buying group intended more then Change seeking, when apparel explored, Particularity exploration, Innovation exploration and Brand exploration. Impulse-buying group preferred the department store, unimpulse-buying group did the specialty store.

넉오프(knockoff) 패션제품의 구매행동분석 -여대생을 중심으로 - (Analysis of Purchasing Behaviors of Knockoff Fashion Product - Focused on Female College Student -)

  • Knockoff products, called forgeries or imitations, are copies of famous original brand goods from abroad. Most of knockoff fashion products manufactured in Korea are famous fashion brand names. The purposes of the paper us: first, to examine and analyze general consumer purchasing behavior toward knockoff fashion products; second, to analyze the purchasing behavior toward knockoff goods according to demographic features; third, to materialize the attributes of knockoff fashion items consumers purchase; fourth, to reveal the relation between the attribute types of knockoff goods, and demographic features and purchasing behavior. The result explained so for reveals that the students'purchasing behaviour differs according to demographic features and general features of the products purchasing. This result should not be interpreted by expanding to the whole group of girl college students or consumers, as the sample used in this study is limited to those in Seoul area. Therefore, following studies are expected to expand the range of subjects'age, and to compare and analyze purchasing behaviour difference of knockoff products and imported original brand names.

Influence of Psychosocial Factors on Energy Drink Consumption in Korean Nursing Students: Never-consumers versus Ever-consumers

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the status of caffeine-containing energy drink consumption among Korean nursing students and to identify associated psychological factors. Methods: In total, 187 Korean nursing students participated in this cross-sectional study. A self-administered questionnaire was used to identify participants' general characteristics and psychosocial factors (self-esteem, academic stress, depression, and college adjustment) associated with energy drink consumption. Data were analyzed with SPSS using descriptive statistics, the $x^2$ test, the t-test, and logistic regression. Results: More than two-thirds (73.3%) of the participants had consumed energy drinks. Among the investigated psychological factors, depression appeared to most strongly influence energy drink consumption behaviors in this population. Conclusion: The consumption of caffeine-containing energy drinks was found to be common among nursing students preparing to become health care professionals; depressed nursing students were more likely to have consumed energy drinks than non-depressed students. Nursing educators should emphasize the early detection of unhealthy beverage consumption habits and provide appropriate education to enhance healthy behaviors in future health care professionals.

인천지역 대학생의 건강기능식품 섭취 실태와 건강기능식품 섭취 유무에 따른 식습관, 식이 섭취 및 식사의 질 조사 (Consumption of health functional food and dietary habits, nutrient intake and dietary quality of college students in Incheon)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate consumption of health functional food (HFF) and dietary habits, nutrient intake, and dietary quality by HFF consumption in college students. The subjects of this study included 283 college students (179 males and 104 females) in Incheon metropolitan city. The cross-sectional study was conducted using self-reported questionnaires, including kinds of HFF consumed, motivation for purchase, reason for consumption, effect after consumption, reason for no consumption, and dietary habits. A three-day recall method was used for dietary assessment. Dietary qualities were assessed using nutrient adequacy ratio (NAR), mean adequacy ratio (MAR), and nutrient density (ND) values. The percentage of HFF consumption was 40.2% in males and 50.0% in females. The main kinds of HFF consumed by males were vitamins and minerals, red ginseng, protein, and omega-3 fatty acid, in that order. HFF consumed by females were vitamins and minerals, red ginseng, omega-3 fatty acid, and individually approved functional ingredients, in that order. The main motivation for purchase of HFF was recommendation of family and relatives (males 76.4% and females 78.8%). The main reason for consumption of HFF was health promotion (males 67.7% and females 63.5%) and the main reason for no consumption of HFF was not having a health problem (males 49.5% and females 46.2%). The dietary habit score for 'eat the milk or dairy product everyday' (p < 0.05) in females was significantly higher in HFF consumers, compared to HFF non-consumers. In males, the ND of vitamin B1 (p < 0.05) in HFF consumers was significantly higher compared to HFF non-consumers. In females, HFF consumers showed a significantly higher ND of vitamin B2 (p < 0.05) and Ca (p < 0.01), compared to HFF non-consumers. Regardless of HFF consumption, the NAR of vitamin C, folic acid, and Ca was less than 0.7. These results suggest the need for nutrition education for college students in order to improve dietary habits and for balanced nutritional status, and to provide correct information on HFF.

저가화장품 사용실태와 구매만족도 - 여대생을 중심으로 - (The Use and Satisfaction of Low Price Cosmetics Among Female College Students)

  • The aim of this study is to promote an appropriate consumption culture given the features of the segmented female college student group and to utilize these features as basic data at the level of consumer education. The lifestyle of female college students will be identified, along with the current use and customer satisfaction of low price cosmetics that are aimed at this group. The conclusion will be proposed on the basis of the results of this study: Firstly, low price cosmetics producers need to develop products that satisfy the needs of customers and to establish marketing strategies such as sales promotions according to the current trend. Secondly, in order to establish rational purchasing, it is necessary to promote an appropriate consumption culture by offering consumer education to college students. Thirdly, most consumers equate brands with quality. Therefore, companies need to continually produce quality products that may be differentiated from other low price cosmetics, not only in terms of price but also in terms of product quality, in order to enhance the reliability of their brand. Furthermore, it is necessary for consumers to be able to purchase products by considering product quality through searching for diverse information and not merely by depending on any particular brand.

소비자의 인삼 소비문화 -대학생 소비자의 인삼에 대한 태도 및 구매의도를 중심으로- (A study on consumers' consumption culture of Panax ginseng -Focused on college students' attitude and purchase intent for ginseng, and related products -)

  • 대학생은 소득활동을 준비하는 잠재적인 소득계층으로 매우 중요한 미래의 주된 소비자이다. 본 연구는 대학생 소비자의 인삼 관련 소비문화의 현황을 파악하고 앞으로 인삼 제품과 서비스의 확대를 위하여 그들의 인삼 제품에 대한 태도를 알아보고, 구매현황 및 만족도, 그리고 구매의도를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 통하여 구매의도에 영향을 미치는 관련 변수의 상대적 영향력을 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 대학생 소비자의 인삼 제품 구매의도에 영향을 미치는 변수는 인삼에 대한 신뢰성, 경제성, 구매 경험, 주관적 관심도, 월평균 소득(아르바이트 포함), 월평균 용돈, 인삼에 대한 자부심, 그리고 연령 등의 순으로 나타났다. 이 중에서 대부분의 변수가 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤으나, 월평균 소득, 월평균 용돈, 연령은 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 즉, 인삼에 대한 신뢰성, 경제성, 자부심이 높을수록 구매의도가 높았으며, 구매 경험이 많을수록, 인삼에 대한 주관적 관심도가 높을수록 구매의도 역시 높았으나, 연령, 월평균 용돈, 소득 등은 높을수록 오히려 구매의도가 낮았다. 대학생의 인삼 제품 소비 촉진을 위해서는 젊은 층을 위한 가격 인하, 질적인 측면에서의 고급화, 그리고 젊은 세대를 위한 제품의 다양화, 떫고 쓴 맛을 거부하는 부정적인 측면을 극복할 수 있는 맛 개선, 그리고 무엇보다 소비자의 관심을 유도할 수 있는 면이 필요하다. 또한, 젊은 층이 편리하고 쉽게 먹을 수 있는 제품 개발과 판매처의 증설 등을 통한 접근성 확대도 필요하다. 최근 젊은 소비자들은 이전에 경험해 보지 못한 새로운 제품, 디자인이나 포장이 독특하여 인증하기 좋은 제품, 과거의 향수를 자극하는 레트로 제품 등에 관심이 많으므로 이러한 관점에서 인삼 제품 소비와 관련된 홍보 및 정보제공을 할 필요가 있다. 소비자의 실용성과 편리성을 고려하고 다양한 생활환경에 맞추어 휴대가 편리한 제품 선호를 반영하며 다른 제품과 시너지 효과를 발휘할 수 있는 개인 소비자의 취향 큐레이션 서비스 등의 고려를 제안한다.

외식업체의 브랜드 친숙도와 쿠폰 이용 성향이 쿠폰 상환 및 재방문 의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 대학생을 중심으로 - (Effects of Brand Familiarity and Coupon Proneness of a Restaurant Chain on Coupon Redemption & Revisit Intention - Based on Undergraduate Student -)

  • Coupons that restaurants are competitively issuing have considerable effects on company profits, depending on the performance of redemption rate. The purpose of the study is to identify the coupon type that consumers most prefer, among coupon types the most frequently issued restaurants, and to investigate consumers' coupon redemption rate and revisit intention based on brand familiarity. In this study, freshmen and sophomores in the 2-year colleges and the universities located in Seoul and Kyoungi province were sampled by convenience sampling, and surveyed about 3 coupon types (free meal coupon, discount rate coupon, discount price coupon) with 150 copies of questionnaire for each type, totally 450 copies randomly distributed. As a result, relationship between coupon redemption intention and revisit intention based on brand familiarity was that, the higher brand familiarity was, the higher coupon redemption intention and revisit intention were, regardless of coupon types. This study lies in that it approached to discount method, one of the coupon types, by further subdividing into discount rate and discount price, and that redemption intention and revisit intention were studied by taking account of coupon familiarity.
