Peer-to-peer (P2P) systems have proved the most effective and popular file sharing applications in recent years. Previous studies mainly focused on equal service and differentiated service strategies when peers have no initial data before their downloads. For an upload-constrained P2P file sharing system, we model both the equal service process and the differentiated service process when the initial data distribution of peers satisfies some special conditions. Moreover, we show how to minimize the time required to distribute the file to any number of peers. The proposed fluid-based models can reveal the intrinsic relations among the initial data amount, the peer set size, and the minimum last finish time. The closed-form expressions derived from the extended models can closely approximate chunk-based models and systems, especially for relatively large files. As an application of the extended models, we show how to provide differentiated service efficiently to multiple peer sets. Since no limits are imposed on the upload bandwidth of peers or the size of each peer set, we believe that our analytic process and the results achieved can provide not only fundamental insights into bandwidth allocation and data scheduling but also a helpful reference for both improving system performance and building an effective incentive mechanism for P2P file sharing systems.

대학도서관은 대학교육과 상호 관련되어 있다. 지식 정보사회에는 대학의 경쟁력을 키우고 나아가 국가경쟁력을 강화하기 위해 대학도서관이 발전적으로 운영되어야 한다. 교수와 학생들의 연구 및 학습활동을 지원할 수 있는 적절한 시설과 시스템을 갖추어야만 대학도서관 본연의 기능과 역할을 성취할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 C대학교 중앙도서관 중심으로 공간구성의 변화를 분석하고, 그에 따라 리모델링 전 후의 이용자 만족도를 조사하여 이용자들의 공간구성에 대한 만족도와 그 결과를 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과로는 이용자가 원하는 도서관 공간 활용 가운데 열람공간과 휴게공간에 대한 중요도를 파악할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 향후 도서관 서비스의 질을 높이거나, 도서관 이용자 만족도를 조사 연구하는 연구자들에게 좋은 참고자료가 될 것이다.

본 연구는 한 중 양국 대학교 학부생들의 도서관에 대한 인식수준 측정을 통해서 도서관의 성장과 발전에 장애요인이 되는 현안 문제를 규명하고 이에 대한 대응방안을 제시하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구방법은 질문지기법을 사용하였다. 연구결과 도서관의 사회 및 문화적 기능에 대한 학부생들의 인식이 저조한 것으로 나타나 인식제고를 위한 도서관 문화행사를 강화시켜야 할 필요성이 있으며, 중국 학생들에 비해 한국 학생들의 학구열이 매우 낮고 아예 도서관을 찾지 않는 학생들이 많은 것으로 나타나 교과학습의 강도를 높이거나 도서관의 활용도를 높이는 유인정책이 필요하다. 또한 정보서비스에 대한 이용자의 만족제고 및 활성화를 위한 전문사서의 계속교육과 이용자에 대한 집단 및 그룹별 이용자 교육의 강화 도서관 이용을 통한 수업연계방안 프로젝트 등의 대응방안이 확립되어야 할 것이다.

이 연구는 대학생들을 사례로 하여 학습과 관련한 각종 활동의 실체를 파악하고 그러한 활동 과정에서 두드러지는 정보행태적 특징을 밝혀냄으로써 대학도서관 서비스를 '이용자 친화적'으로 혁신하기 위한 기초 자료를 확보하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이러한 목적을 성취하고자 이 연구에서는, 첫째, 대학생의 학습활동을 분석하여 유형화하고 학습활동의 유형에 따른 정보행태적 특징을 밝혀내었으며, 둘째, 정보행태적 관점을 중시하면서 학습정보원으로서 대학도서관이 갖는 비중과 이용행태를 파악하였고, 마지막으로, 대학도서관이용에 영향을 미치는 인적 변인을 드러내고 그러한 변인에 따른 도서관이용행태의 차이를 밝혀내었다. 연구에 필요한 데이터는 290명의 대학생을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 통해 수집하였으며, 수집한 데이터는 빈도분석과 교차분석을 거쳐 논점의 전개를 위해 활용하였다.

This research has investigated the perceptions of subject specialization services and the opinions of students majoring in library and information science preparing for librarianship, librarians operating in the field, and library directors on the status and ways of nurturing subject specialization for librarians, among others. To this end, based on the results of previous research and the survey questionnaire analysis, we have presented a policy to train subject librarians. First, we have proposed a plan for systematizing the current educational system within the department of library and information science. We have also suggested ways to secure subject expertise based on curriculum management, minor programs, multi-major programs, and interdisciplinary major programs based on the standard curriculum model. Second, we have presented a subject specialization educational system for field librarians, and further suggested details for the development of an educational program that can help build subject expertise and the operation of educational methods as well as the personnel in charge of implementing the educational programs. Third, we have proposed institutionalization of the qualifications of the subject librarian where the qualification requirements have been organized considering academic background, major program, library career, and career experience in the subject specialization service, further suggesting the implementation and maintenance of the system.

This study aimed to discover the notable experiences of Library and Information Science students in a virtual internship program. It employed qualitative descriptive research design by thematically analyzing the monthly internship journal of the interns. Using Colaizzi's method to identify themes from their experiences, the study revealed that interns expected to gain knowledge and skills on operations, services, and new information communication technologies in libraries. Orientation was found helpful in identifying the things interns needed to prepare. The interns faced issues from procrastination and technical difficulties, which they coped with employing avoidance strategies. Overall, the internship was viewed as an opportunity to learn and navigate the online digital system of the library despite the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. They realized their capacity and reflected on which competencies need improvement. In conclusion, students still learned the necessary knowledge and skills of a librarian; experienced the challenges faced in an actual library and were provided with various opportunities and realizations regarding the practice of librarianship. This study proposed a three-stage framework that outlines the involvement of the supervising instructors, librarians, and interns in the internship program from the preparation to the process and post-assessment.

대학도서관의 서비스 전략은 사회 환경 변화에 대한 조망을 포함해서 실질적인 서비스 수요자인 이용자에 기반하여 수립될 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대학도서관 이용자인 대학생과 대학원생, 교수자와 연구자를 대상으로 현재 제공되는 대학도서관 기능과 서비스에 대한 이용자들의 인식을 파악하고 향후 개선 혹은 개발되어야 할 서비스에 대한 수요를 조사·분석하였다. 데이터는 온라인 설문을 통해 수집되었고, 학생집단은 1,216건, 연구자 집단은 433건 회수되었다. 조사 결과는 각각의 집단별로 정리하고, 이 중 공통된 결과를 통해 시사점을 도출하였다. 첫째, 두 집단 모두 정보자원의 수집과 접근 강화에 대한 지속적인 요구가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 타 기관과의 협력을 통한 정보자원의 공유를 강화하고 해외학술자료의 다양한 이용을 희망하는 등 정보제공서비스 확대를 필요로 하고 있었다. 셋째, 도서관이 중요한 기관이라는 인식은 하고 있었으나 홍보 등의 부족으로 만족한 이용이 이루어지고 있지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 대학도서관이 대상의 구별과 차별 없이 누구에게나 열린 서비스를 제공해야 한다고 인식하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과는 이용자에게 최적화된 대학도서관 서비스를 개발하고 개선하기 위한 전략 수립시 기본 데이터로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

Access to relevant information determines the quality of life of an individual in society and the academe. Academic institutions have established information literacy programmes to enhance students' access to information. With the elevation of colleges of education to tertiary status in Ghana, pre-service teachers are now required to conduct research to improve their reflective thinking in order to be certified. However, the information access skills of students in colleges of education in Ghana are uncertain. This study draws empirical evidence from students in the Nusrat Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education, Wa, Ghana on their information access skills. Primary data were collected from 303 respondents from the college using a stratified sampling procedure. The data were collected using a questionnaire and analysed using descriptive statistics. The results indicate that information is available to students through different sources such as the Internet, libraries, and contact with friends and authorities. However, students were limited in respect to access to relevant online resources for their academic activities due to inadequate information access skills. Potential solutions are discussed.

장애인 독서문화 활동의 진흥은 정보소외계층의 정보격차해소, 독서문화 활동을 통한 국민의 삶의 질 향상이라는 도서관 핵심 사명을 수행하는 주요한 업무이다. 활성화 방안을 도출을 위해 독서문화 진흥정책과제에서 사용하는 4개 과제 영역을 틀로 사용하였으며, 국내외 도서관 장애인서비스 분석을 통하여 시사점을 도출하였다. 연구결과 현재 도서관 장애인서비스는 장애인 독서환경조성, 균등한 독서 기회 제공 서비스가 대부분이고, 장애인 독서생활화 및 독서운동 활성화과제는 매우 부족하였다. 독서 생활화를 위한 독서교육, 독서체험, 이용자중심의 프로그램 개발이 필요하며, 장애인 독서운동 확산을 위하여 도서관 홍보 전략을 활용하는 것이 필요하다.

본 연구는 포스트 코로나 시대에 대비해 안양시 공공도서관이 온라인 미디어를 효과적으로 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제안하고자 하는 목적에서 수행되었다. 이를 위해 2021년 전국 도서관 운영 평가에서 정부 포상을 받은 우수 도서관 5곳의 운영 사례를 분석해 주요 시사점들을 정리하고, 분석 내용들을 바탕으로 안양시 도서관이 온라인 미디어를 활용해 도서관 운영을 활성화 하는 데 도움이 될 수 있는 방안들을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 코로나19 시기 성과들을 바탕으로 우수 도서관으로 선정된 도서관들의 실제 사례를 토대로, 포스트 코로나 시대에 대비해 안양시 도서관의 온라인 미디어 활용 전략을 정리해 제안한 실증적이고 경험적인 연구라는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다.
