The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of the operation of small libraries in Seoul and to assess the perception of their importance and satisfaction. For this purpose, 861 small libraries in Seoul were surveyed on the overall operational satisfaction, operational improvement, and the importance of operation. As a result, it was discovered that there is a demand for increased operational support for small libraries, enhanced publicity, improved education and treatment of volunteers, improved quality of the book collection, and continuously improved space and facilities. Furthermore, the public and private libraries should be classified to reflect operational characteristics of the operating entity, rather than implementing the uniform budget support and guidance management.

The Libraries are face to difficult of academic journal subscription for the increasing price of journal and the increasing number of journal. Bibliographic citation analysis is one of method of evaluating the use of a journal collection. This study is used bibliographic use and scatting of foreign academic journal in Library and Information Science found in doctorial dissertation of graduate students in Seoul city, for serve to complement another method of journal evaluation. Journal selection and cancellation may be done on the basis to dispersion of journal citation to usefulness of journal subscription in the library budget. But the library should not rely on one single evaluation technique, it should take advantage of combination technique.

Libraries are encountering hostile conditions around journal licensing such as limited budget, the high price of packages, and vendor-led negotiation. They need to collect and analyze usage data of electronic journals to develop electronic journal collection appropriate for their own circumstances. The purpose of this study is to suggest an practical guideline for librarians' analysis of electronic journal usage statistics. For this, the study reviewed related previous studies and examined current state on usage statistics provided from COUNTER release 3 compliant vendors. Finally this study proposed five core statistics including full-text article request per journal, journal using rate, price per full-text article request, most use group, and low use group, and further discussed how to use them effectively for the electronic journal management.

Surface water-groundwater interaction (SWGI) is an important hydrological process that influences both the quantity and quality of water resources. However, regional scale SWGI model calibration and uncertainty analysis have been a challenge because integrated models inherently carry a vast number of parameters, modeling assumptions, and inputs, potentially leaving little time and budget to explore questions related to model performance and forecasting. In this study, we have proposed the application of iterative ensemble smoother (IES) for uncertainty analysis and calibration of the widely used integrated surface-subsurface model, SWAT-MODFLOW. SWAT-MODFLOW integrates Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) and a three-dimensional finite difference model (MODFLOW). The model was calibrated using a parameter estimation tool (PEST). The major advantage of the employed IES is that the number of model runs required for the calibration of an ensemble is independent of the number of adjustable parameters. The pilot point approach was followed to calibrate the aquifer parameters, namely hydraulic conductivity, specific storage, and specific yield. The parameter estimation process for the SWAT model focused primarily on surface-related parameters. The uncertainties both in the streamflow and groundwater level were assessed. The work presented provides valuable insights for future endeavors in coupled surface-subsurface modeling, data collection, model development, and informed decision-making.

Unlike price calculation by cost accounting, which categorizes costs into material costs, labor costs, and miscellaneous expenses to determine the construction budget price, construction cost calculation based on Construction Standard Unit Prices utilizes unit prices extracted from market prices of items from projects already completed to estimate costs of similar construction projects. Although unit price information is collected through construction site surveys to revise these construction standard unit prices every year, but due to the limitations of the site survey method, it is difficult to quickly implement the rapid changes in the construction methods and market prices. As such, an important issue that arose was the identification of work items whose prices need urgent revision. This study conducted research on factors that need to be considered when developing online survey system for monitoring construction site market prices. This study is expected to enhance convenience for users, and provide an efficient data collection and management system for administrators.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the present stage of children's services of public library in Korea. Data were collected from 171 public libraries and analysed according to five aspects of library services; physical aspect, collection, human resources, user services, and management and program. The results shows that budget, human resources for children's services should be increased and every local library authority should be on an active and effective way to services.

This study analyzed farmers' and experts' perceptions of the Agricultural Income Survey (AIS) conducted by the Rural Development Administration and estimated its socioeconomic value. The research surveyed 104 farmers in Gyeongsangbuk-do and Jeollanam-do. To estimate the AIS's socioeconomic value, this study examined public information projects in the field of agriculture and public information, proposing an estimation methodology based on prior research. The socioeconomic value of the AIS was calculated in three stages (information generation, collection and analysis, and utilization) using the replacement cost and contingent valuation methods. In 2020, the estimated socioeconomic value of the AIS ranged from a minimum of KRW 631.2 billion to a maximum of KRW 799.1 billion per year. To improve the socioeconomic value of the AIS, it is important to booster awareness, expand sample sizes for more reliable data, increase manpower and budget, refine survey questions, and enhance analyzing capabilities. And it's crucial to foster cooperation with surveyed farms, promote collaboration among investigative agencies, improve investigator skills, and strengthen management capabilities to facilitate information dissemination.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze changes of child welfare policies and provide insights based on the collection and classification of newspaper articles. Methods: Articles related to child welfare policies were collected from 1990, during the Kim, Young-sam administration, to May 9, 2022, under the Moon, Jae-in administration. K-Means clustering and keyword Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency analysis were utilized to cluster and analyze newspaper articles with similar themes. Results: The administrations of Kim, Young-sam, Kim, Dae-jung, Roh, Moo-hyun, and Park, Geun-hye were classified into two clusters, and the Lee, Myung-bak and Moon, Jae-in administrations were classified into three clusters. Conclusion: South Korea's child welfare policies have focused on ensuring the safety and healthy development of children through diverse policies initiatives over the years. However, challenges related to child protection and child abuse persist. This requires additional resources and budget allocation. It is important to establish a comprehensive support system for children and families, including comprehensive nursing support.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyse the effectiveness of training and development on the performance of employees in Zimbabwe's banks using FBC Bank as a case study. Research design, data and methodology: The study adopted a mixed research method to collect and analyse data from ten key informants and fifty FBC Bank employees drawn from its branches in Harare. The data collection method used were survey and interviews. Results: The study revealed that effective training and development is significant to FBC Bank because it has a positive effect on the performance of employees, which consequently result in improved organisational performance. Conclusion: The study concluded that knowledge on how to conduct effective training and development programs in FBC Bank is not optimum. Recommendations: The study recommended that management should acknowledge that training and development is a systematic process and therefore conduct training needs analysis, design training plans, implement training programs effectively and evaluate them in order to ensure well-coordinated and effective training and development programs. It also suggested that adequate budget allocation should be availed to finance the implementation of training and development programs in organisations.

Korean private colleges under the period of Japanese control was the kernel for the educational resistance, one of the save-the-nation movements because of inculcating in Koreans the spirit of independence and self-respect under that period. Posung College Library building, erected in Commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the Foundation, especially, was the result of Koreans systematizing ability and iron will of independence for the future generations. In this paper, an attempt to study the Korean private college libraries under the period of Japanese control is provided. The main institutions in this study are Posung College library, Chosen Christian College library (Yunhee College Library), and Ewha College Library. This study will focus to review the followings: 1. The historical background of above mentioned libraries. 2. The educational resistance under that period. 3. The comparative and analytical study of these private college libraries and Keijo Imperial University library. 4. The facilities and the basic collection development plan on the basis of presentation. 5. library services including readers services. 6. The impact of these libraries on the present private university libraries. 7. The organization and staffing pattern, and budget of these private college libraries. The followings are the outlines conclusions: 1. Korean private college libraries had been established in order to perform the educational resistance. They are one of the supporting agencies for the research activities, among the most important means of social education, and provide, no doubt, the full nutriment for hungry soul under that period. 2. These libraries have not outstripped Keijo Imperial University in collection of books as well as man power, but their collection of books coincided, in general, with their curricula, and had feature to perform the save-the-nation-movement by education. 3. The library services were appeared in the forms such as the Circulation Library, Lectures on the Use of Books and Libraries, Library Week, and Training Course for the Librarians, etc. It is thought that these activities contributed to the social and cultural development of Korea indirectly. 4. The library administration of the private colleges depended upon the director of library because of the frequent changes of staffs and the simple functional system without its middle class. 5. The Japanese Government-General in Korea gave no financial assistance to the private colleges though they were in financial difficulties more than Keijo Imperial University. 6. The ambitious ideal for foundation of universities in reality as well as in name was not achieved during that period because of the monstrous obstacle so-called the Japanese Government-General in Korea, but its ideal had a desirable effect upon these college libraries development, in particular, before and after 1935.
