There is no doubt that the school health education in school health services is the most important component. But the concept and scope of the school health education is still not recognized and accepted satisfactorily in Korea. It is generally accepted that health education is a process of changing of attitude and behavior forward health practice. The term attitude refers to certain regularities on the part of an individual in feelings, thoughts, and predispositions to act toward some aspect of his environment. Attitudes have three components: affective, cognitive, and behavioral. The strategies of attitude change in school health education consist of incentive, justification, and coersion. In this study I explained reinforcement and motivation as the strategies of attitude change. The attitude change is not built in a day. When the teachers give the pupils knowledge, comprehension, or skill through school health education proper to each stage, then the attitude change will be realized.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of teaching strategies for scientific conceptions in the units of oxygen and combustion in elementary school science textbook. 70 elementary school 6th grade students in Seoul participated. They were divided into experimental group and controlled group. Five scientific concepts were adopted from the units of oxygen and combustion in the 6th grade science textbook. Subjects' preconceptions were investigated by pre-questionnaires. A series of 6 instructional sessions based on the teaching strategy of cognitive confliction theory were given to the experimental group. By the end of the instructional session, a post-test was administered to both experimental and controlled groups. There was a statistically significant difference between post-test gains of the experimental and controlled groups. These results support the notion that the teaching strategy was effective for changing from preconceptions to scientific concerts.
This study compared the cognitive conflict on peer instruction concerning the level of difficulty in question, between middle school science gifted students and non-gifted students. For the study, 35 the 7th grade science-gifted students in the organization affiliated with Science Education Institute for the Gifted in Seoul and Gyeong-gi province, and 14 the 8th grade science-gifted students, and 71 the 8th grade students. They performed peer instruction on propagation of straight light and composition of light and then, discussed three concept problems. After discussing the students took paper pencil test about changing levels of cognitive conflict. Regardless of the level of difficulty in question, the science-gifted students showed meaningful decreased figures on cognitive re-evaluation factors after peer-discussion. They trusted their peers, so during discussion, they explained their concepts. Furthermore discussion process enabled them to do reflective thinking. consequently, discord of students dropped, and total figures of cognitive conflict also declined. Science-gifted students have a tendency to worry lower than general students, though they felt anxiety as difficulty of the problems after peer-discussion. Through peer-discussion, science-gifted students presented statically decreased anxiety factors. By means of analyzed results of changing cognitive conflict of science-gifted students, developing and adapting strategies of cognitive conflict considering learner characteristics of science-gifted students is needed.
Purpose: With the rapid changes in the technical development and the trend of consumption trend, the convenience store industry is facing an unprecedented competitive situation in the consumption environment where the boundary between online and offline is broken due to the stagnation of offline distribution channels and the spread of online shopping. The biggest innovation strategy of the major convenience store brands in recent years are introducing the O2O (Online to Offline) platform and presenting new products and services beyond the boundaries of online and offline to transform themselves into Omni Channel stores. The study is designed to analyze the effect of innovativeness of convenience store as a stimulus in O2O platform which customers perceive on store loyalty, the final response to external stimuli, through customer engagement with convenience store brands. Specifically, the innovativeness of convenience stores was divided into types of core activities in corporate marketing and focused on innovations in services, products(proposals), promotions and experiences. Research design, data, and methodology: Various hypotheses have been developed to achieve this research purpose. The data were collected from 1,128 questionnaires the age between 15 and 60 who had experience using retail store apps and delivery apps and were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and SmartPLS 3.3.7 program. Measurement model analysis was carried out to assess convergent and discriminant validity. Also, common method bias was tested using the values of VIF (variance inflation factor). The hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling with SmartPLS 3.3.7 program. Results: First, service innovation has a positive effect on cognitive engagement. Second, product, promotion and experience innovation have a positive effect on cognitive and affective engagement. Third, cognitive influences affective engagement. Finally, both cognitive and affective engagement affect store loyalty, but affective engagement has a stronger effect on store loyalty than cognitive engagement. Conclusions: All four types of innovation and cognitive engagement have a positive effect on emotional engagement, which has a stronger effect on store loyalty than cognitive engagement. Thus, while innovation can build loyalty through emotional engagement, innovation strategies must be designed and pursued with caution in terms of impact through cognitive engagement may not achieve the planned goals.

The purpose of this study was to understand the undergraduate students' response characteristics by their cognitive conflict levels and result predictions when they were confronted with the learning tasks of action & reaction and electric circuits. The 147 engineering college students who were enrolled at the introductory physics classes were selected as the subjects for this study. The students were grouped by cognitive levels and result predictions. First, in action and reaction task, the trend of suspecting experimental results and finding the reasons was dominant; however, in electric circuits, the trend of accepting the results was dominant. Second, the reasons for the responses on the subcategories of cognitive conflict were different by the level of cognitive conflict. The responses were influenced by students' preexisting knowledge, former experiences, learning habits, learning motivation, and epistemological beliefs, etc. The high conflict group recognized what they do not consider and was positive to reappraise their preconceptions, while the low conflict group showed the tendency of accepting the situation without doubt and low interest on learning physics. In conclusion, students responses showed differences in cognitive conflict levels, result predictions and presented conflict tasks. The research results, especially the response characteristics, suggest that more research on effective cognitive conflict strategies appropriate for different tasks and students' conflicts are necessary for effective physics teaching.
Due to underutilization of spectrum under current inefficient and static spectrum management policy, various kinds of opportunistic spectrum access (OSA) strategies have appeared. Myopic policy is a simple and robust OSA strategy with reduced complexity that maximizes immediate throughput. In this paper, we propose mathematical models to evaluate the throughput and the MAC delay of a myopic policy under saturation tra c conditions. Using the MAC delay distribution, we evaluate the packet delay of secondary users under nonsaturation conditions. Numerical results are given to show the performance of the myopic policy in cognitive radio networks.

Education is affected by technical and scientific developments. Progress in one of these areas leads give way to new educational methods and strategies. One of these advanced learning modes is what has been conventionally termed as Micro-learning (ML). It has emerged in educational technology as a result of advances in information technology as well as advances in research in memory, brain, and social-cognitive processes. In this paper, the researcher discusses micro-learning in terms of its concepts, tools, and associated concepts, advantages and disadvantages.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the questions of earth science knowledge presented in elementary science textbooks. In group activities, The questions were created by preservice elementary teachers assuming that they were teaching the earth science knowledge in science education classes at university of education. Types, frequencies, and sources of the cognitive background knowledge of the questions were analyzed. The results demonstrated the followings. First, types, concentrations, and sources of the cognitive background knowledge of the questions were different depending on the domains of earth science. Specifically, in astronomy domain, the frequencies and concentrations of the questions showed different trends compared with other domains in its individual lessons. It suggests that instructional strategies that reflected the difference found in each lessons be appropriately designed and used. Second, it was found that 'schools' was the most dominant sources of the cognitive background. 'Friends' were also found to be very important sources, thus promoting students' interaction with their peers would become an important strategy in science teaching. It was also found that mass media such as 'internet' and 'TV' were roughly rated the same as 'schools' which illustrated that mass media could be utilized in science instruction. Third, since types, concentrations, and frequencies of the questions were diverse in the lessons of units, it is suggested that diverse instruction strategies also be taken into account as an educational approach in teaching the subjects in teacher education.
This paper was to examine the effects of university-based science gifted education program on scientifically gifted students' science problem finding ability and cognitive-affective factors. For this study, 69 scientifically gifted students with previous Silted education experiences at the university-based science gifted education centers and 91 scientifically gifted students without any previous gifted education experiences were compared. Both groups of students were currently enrolled at a specialized science high school. To compare both groups, scientific problem finding ability, science anxiety, science related attitude, self-efficacy, intrinsic motivation, test anxiety, cognitive strategies, and self-regulation were measured. The results indicate that there was no significant difference on scientific problem finding ability between these two groups. The comparison between the past and now in the aspects of variables observed in the study showed that both groups of students were decreased in the science anxiety and self-efficacy. But the test anxiety was significantly increased compared to the past in both groups. Implications of the study were discussed in depth.
Due to characteristics of modern society including technological development, various methods engaging interaction between people and manmade environment have become one of the major issues raised in various fields of deign so called interactive design. Interactive design started as the interface between human and computer system, but now expanded to interior design field enhancing spatial experience of users. Now, many corporates are looking into interactive design to bridge the gap between company or brand identity and consumers as marketing tool. The current study investigates interactive concepts and characteristics of corporate participated public spaces and tries to define their design methods according to spatial marketing strategies. Using theoretical inquiry, cultural events and delivery of corporate identity information were defined as two major spatial strategies through cognitive or behavioral approaches. Moreover, digital, constructive, and expressive presentations were found to be most common design methods. Through this theoretical framework, 7 selected samples in Korea are analyzed in order to find detailed design characteristics. It is hoped that this study may serve in understanding current design approaches of interactive corporate public spaces and useful guideline when designing interactive public spaces not only as means of marketing strategies but even for public goods.
