영어 지각동사의 인지적 연구 (A Cognitive Analysis on the Polysemous Perception Verbs)

  • This paper deals with the polysemous phenomenon of perception verbs in terms of metaphor and metonymy and suggest a model of cognitive semantic structure for them. English perception verbs are often used for representing a mental, cognitive activity as well as representing a physical, perceptive activity. This paper looks for a basis for the polysemous use in the creative system of metaphor and metonymy, especially in the meaning extension function of mind-as-body metaphor. English perception verbs show a good example of a metaphor of domain transfer from physical domain to mental or cognitive domain. This paper suggests the conceptual chain and the semantic structure for the perception verb to show the possibility of polysemy and contextual modulation.

A Cognitive Structure Theory and its Positive Researches in Mathematics Learning

  • The concept field is defined as the schema of all equivalent definitions of a mathematics concept. Concept system is defined as the schema of a group concept network where there are mathematics relations. Proposition field is defined as the schema of all equivalent proposition sets. Proposition system is defined as a schema of proposition sets where one mathematics proposition at least is "derived" from the other proposition. CPFS structure that consists of concept field, concept system proposition field, proposition system describes more precisely mathematics cognitive structure, and reveals the unique psychological phenomena and laws in mathematics learning.

분수의 나눗셈과 관련된 초등학교 6학년 학생들의 인지구조 분석 - 단어연상검사(Word Association Test) 적용 - (An analysis of 6th graders' cognitive structure about division of fraction - Application of Word Association Test(WAT) -)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the difference of cognitive structure depending on the level of the 6th graders' problem-solving abilities about the division of fraction and to propose a method for improving the 6th graders' understanding about the division of fraction through the word association test. The following is the findings from this study. 1)The lower level students' is, the lower the step that the chunk appeared in cognitive structure is. 2)The basic level students' association frequency between any two concepts was less than the excellent level students and the ordinary level students' it. 3)The basic level students' connection number between concepts was far less than the excellent level students and the ordinary level students' it. 4)The connection between natural number and unit fractions, subtraction of fraction and division of fraction, division of fraction and reduction to common denominator, and division of fraction and common multiple that expected in this study did not appear in the three groups.

Effects of Foodservice Franchise's Brand Awareness and Service Quality on Cognitive Attitude, Affective Attitude, and Loyalty

  • Purpose: In general, franchise business models can generate higher returns and profits than non-franchise businesses. Therefore, it is necessary to study customer-based foodservice franchise brand awareness and service quality. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of service quality and brand awareness of foodservice franchises on attitudes divided into cognitive and affective attitudes and revisit intentions. Through this study, we intend to establish a structure that leads to service quality and brand awareness-cognitive attitude and affective attitude-loyalty. Research design, data, and methodology: In order to verify the hypothesis of this study, the survey was conducted among general consumers over the age of 20 who had visited a foodservice franchise within the last 3 months. Among the collected questionnaires, one insincere questionnaire was excluded, and 299 copies were used for analysis. The data collected to verify the hypothesis of this study were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0. Result: First, it was found that the service quality of the foodservice franchise had a positive (+) effect on the cognitive attitude, and the service quality of the foodservice franchise had a statistically significant positive effect on the affective attitude. Second, the brand awareness of the foodservice franchise was found to have a statistically significant positive (+) effect on the cognitive attitude. and the brand awareness of the foodservice franchise had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on the affective attitude as well. Third, cognitive attitude was found to have a statistically significant positive (+) effect on loyalty, and affective attitude was also found to have a statistically significant positive (+) effect on loyalty. Conclusions: First, this study applied the S-O-R theory to the effect of service quality and brand recognition on cognitive attitude, affective attitude, and loyalty. Second, the structure leading to service quality and brand awareness-cognitive attitude and affective attitude-revisit intention was established. Third, attitudes in this study were divided into cognitive attitudes and affective attitudes. In general, attitude is studied as a single dimension as a cognitive attitude, but in this study, attitude was studied by dividing it into a cognitive dimension and an affective dimension

개념구조를 이용한 인지갈등에 대한 새로운 논의 (New Discussion on Cognitive Conflict Using Conceptual Structure)

  • 다양한 개념변화이론이 존재하는 만큼 학습자들의 개념변화과정을 기술하기 위해 각각의 개념변화 이론에 열거된 분석대상이 다르다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 여러 가지 개념변화이론의 옳고 그름을 논의하지 않는다. 다만, 교실에서 일어나는 개념변화를 학습이라고 할 때 학습 과정을 설명하고 시사점을 얻기 위해서 기존의 이론을 고찰하여 정교화 시킬 필요성이 요구되었다. 본 연구에서는 학습이란 과제와 같은 주어진 맥락에 반응하여 학습자들이 갖고 있던 신념이 활성화되면서 새로운 개념구조를 구성하는 과정임을 이론적 고찰을 통해 이끌어내었다. 틀이론과 특정이론을 바탕으로 구성되는 정신모형에 대한 이론, 정보처리 이론에 바탕으로 둔 정신모형이론과 인지적 영역과 정의적 요인들을 통합한 정신모형 이론을 개략적으로 살피고 교실 수업에서 학습자가 구성하는 개념구조의 틀을 제안하였다. 또한 이것을 바탕으로 인지갈등을 새롭게 해석할 수 있는 개념구조적 갈등 모형을 제안하였다. 앞으로 이것을 이용하여 교실 수업에서 학습자들이 효과적으로 과학적 개념구조를 획득할 수 있는 방안들과 인지갈등을 포함한 개념변화에 대한 시사점을 얻을 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

분자 구조에 대한 고등학생들의 개념 이해도와 인지 변인의 관계 (The Relationships among High School Students' Conceptual Understanding of Molecular Structure and Cognitive Variables)

  • 본 연구에서는 고등학생 165명을 대상으로 학생들의 분자 구조에 대한 개념 이해도와 인지 변인들 사이의 관계를 조사하였다. 학생들이 두 학기 동안 '고등학교 화학 II 과목을 학습한 후, 분자 구조에 대한 개념, 공간 지각 능력, 논리적 사고력, 기억 용량, 학습 접근 방식 검사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 분자 구조 개념에 대한 학생들의 이해는 불완전하였으며, 몇 가지 오개념이 발견되었다. 개념 검사 점수는 모든 인지 변인 검사 점수들과 유의미한 상관이 있었다. 개념 이해에 대한 인지 변인들의 예언력을 조사하기 위해 중다 회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 유의미 학습 접근 방식이 가장 큰 예언력을 나타내었고, 논리적 사고력, 기계적 학습 접근 방식, 기억 용량의 순으로 예언력이 컸다. 그러나 공간 지각 능력은 예언력이 없었다.

폴드공간의 인지생태론적 특성과 그 효과 (The Cognitive Ecological Characteristics in Folded Space and Their Effects)

  • In accordance with the rapid growth of digital media in 1990s, the state of indetermination that is found in digital process has been emphasized in the field of natural science and philosophy. Digitalized space design has been dramatically developed and it raised heated debate and comment on 'folded space' The purpose of this thesis is to explore how the cognitive-ecological factors constitute fold structures in space design of the late 20th century. Syntax of space structure and geometric composition were analyzed to define what types of cognitive-ecological factors are contrived in the process of visual information. In particular, I put higher theoretical emphasis on what characteristics are ensued in the process of structuring spaces than any other subjects. Through theses analyses and discussions, I raised questions on what principles are operating to create new space design that counts on non-linear structure and its formational process. And I also observed what influences these structural principles of design could fundamentally bring to human beings. First, I proposed that we could overcome reductionist space design through cognitive-ecological approach. Some key concepts such as affordance, parallel processing, and redundancy were adopted as defining elements of non-linear structures. As a result of analyses, I found that the cognitive-ecological approach could substitute the reductionist space design of the past. What is also found is that the three variables are the ultimate ecological elements. In addition, as a methodological concept of fold structures, the form of 'topology' was highlighted because it could be a supporting idea to the cognitive-ecological factors. Second, I claimed that non-linear design is more experiential than rational linear design, and it is more efficiently correspondent to human being than any other forms. What is intended and implied in non-linear structure is also indicated.

공감 능력이 사회 정의 실천에 미치는 영향: 사회 인지적 관점에서 (The Effect of Empathy on Social Justice Commitment: A Social-Cognitive Perspective)

  • 본 연구는 공감 능력이 사회 정의 실천에 미치는 영향을 사회 인지적 관점에서 알아보고자 하였다. 구체적으로 인지적 공감과 정서적 공감이 사회 정의 자기 효능감, 사회 정의 결과 기대, 사회 정의 관심이라는 사회 인지적 기제를 통해 사회 정의 실천에 어떤 영향을 주는 지를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 서울 및 경기도에 거주하는 20대 537명을 대상으로 사회적 이슈 질문지, 사회적 바람직성 척도, 한국어판 공감 지수 척도를 포함하는 자기 보고식 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 사회적 바람직성을 통제한 뒤 연구 모형을 구조 방정식 모형을 통해 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 인지적 공감에 비해 정서적 공감의 영향력이 더 큰 것으로 나타났으나 두 변인 모두 사회 정의 실천에 유의한 영향력을 행사하며, 특별히 사회 인지적 기제를 거쳐 간접적으로 사회 정의 실천에 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 공감 능력이 일반적인 이타행동 뿐만 아니라 사회적 불평등과 차별의 개념을 포함하는 사회 정의 실천 역시 예측한다는 것을 시사한다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하여 정서적 또는 인지적 공감의 측면에서 사회 정의 실천을 촉진할 수 있는 방안을 제안하였다.

에러 분석을 통한 사용자 중심의 메뉴 기반 인터페이스 설계 (Design of Menu Driven Interface using Error Analysis)

  • As menu structure of household appliance is complicated, user's cognitive workload frequently occurs errors. In existing studies, errors didn't present that interpretation for cognitive factors and alternatives, but are only considered as statistical frequency. Therefore, error classification and analysis in tasks is inevitable in usability evaluation. This study classified human error throughout information process model and navigation behavior. Human error is defined as incorrect decision and behavior reducing performance. And navigation is defined as unrelated behavior with target item searching. We searched and analyzed human errors and its causes as a case study, using mobile phone which could control appliances in near future. In this study, semantic problems in menu structure were elicited by SAT. Scenarios were constructed by those. Error analysis tests were performed twice to search and analyze errors. In 1st prototype test, we searched errors occurred in process of each scenario. Menu structure was revised to be based on results of error analysis. Henceforth, 2nd Prototype test was performed to compare with 1st. Error analysis method could detect not only mistakes, problems occurred by semantic structure, but also slips by physical structure. These results can be applied to analyze cognitive causes of human errors and to solve their problems in menu structure of electronic products.
