  • is a project for the senior generation with humanistic knowledge to become a mentor and communicate with them to present the wisdom and direction of life to the new generations of mentees based on various life experiences. has been expanding since 2015, starting with the pilot operation in 2014. In general, projects such as these are assessed to establish effectiveness indicators to verify effectiveness and to establish project management and development strategies. However, most of the evaluations have been conducted quantitatively and qualitatively based on the short-term duration of the project. Therefore, in the case of continuous projects such as , especially in the field of culture and arts where long-term effectiveness verification is required, the short-term evaluation is difficult to predict and judge the actual meaningful effects. In this regard, tried to examine the qualitative change of key participants in this project through the 2017 and 2018 image tracking survey. For this purpose, we adopted qualitative research methodology through interview video shooting, field shooting, and value coding as a research method suitable for the research subject. To analyze the results, first, the interview images were transcribed, keywords were extracted, value encoding works were matched with human psychological values, and the theoretical method was used to identify changes and to derive the meaning. In fact, despite the fact that the study conducted in this study was a follow-up survey, it remained a limitation that it analyzed the changed pattern in a rather short time of 2 years. However, this study systemized the specific methodology that researchers should conduct for follow-up and provided the flow of research at the present time when there is hardly a model for follow-up in the field of culture and arts education business in Korea as well as abroad. Significance can be derived from this point. In addition, it can be said that it has great significance in preparing the detailed system and case of comparative analysis methodology through value coding.

  • Open source software allows the users to freely use, copy, distribute and modify source code without any particular limitations, and this offers the advantages of low entry cost, fast and flexible development, compatibility, reliability and safety. The emergence of many useful open source projects has the advantage of achieving high levels of output with lower costs and time commitment for software development. However, this also increases the risks caused by the security vulnerabilities of the used open source software. There is still no separate process to verify security in using open source software. In this paper, we analyze the security weakness in open source and propose a secure coding scheme in adopting open source, which is known to be highly reliable from a security point of view.

  • In this study, we aim to understand how social computing features affect open source project's outcome based on the representative social coding platform, Github (http://github.com). Though there is growing interest regarding the application and effect of employing social computing features, yet empirical evidences related to the subject are still short. To bridge the gap, we conducted our research based on the following research questions: 1) How the system features of social coding platform are classified? 2) How are the use of system features and project performance related to each other? Qualitative and quantitative analysis are performed: The system features of Github are clustered according to their usage in qualitative analysis, and th relation between the feature uses and project outcome is identified by multiple linear regression test. In conclusion, we found that the use of results is also discussed.

  • One of the biggest problems found from the results of the various GIS-related projects is this. In spite of the fact that there is a national standards on GIS data structures, in building and managing the information on a variety of facilities in an area, each of the concerned organizations has been building the information using their own standards on the selection and organizations of the target facilities, naming convention, and coding regulations of the selected facilities. This distinctively exposes the limits and problems of the national GIS data standards in adopting to the regional GIS projects, resulting in considerable problems in sharing the information already built. The national GIS data standards, therefore, should be expanded and revised. As an effort to solve the above-mentioned problems, this paper suggests an idea on the revision and expansion of the national GIS data standards in the field of road and related facilities. It is believed that same efforts should be made for the other areas of the national GIS data standards to increase the applicability to various GIS projects.

  • This study closely analyzed changes in the educational environment and changes in the needs of children's and young people's reading culture programs, which are directly beneficiaries of the promotion of reading culture as they enter the fourth industrial revolution. It also comprehensively evaluated the reading culture promotion project for children and adolescents promoted by the National Children and Youth Library and proposed a reading culture promotion project that meets the needs of the smart era. This study investigated the cases of various domestic and foreign reading culture promotion projects to divulge trends. The authors invited experts from public libraries and school libraries with experience of the reading culture promotion projects and performed Focus Group Interviews (FGI). The authors evaluated individual reading culture program based on the PDCA method (Plan, Do, Check, Act). Based on the data obtained through case studies and expert evaluations, the development plan of reading culture promotion project and the strategy of promoting new projects to be pursued in the National Children and Youth Library were presented. By gathering the results of the research, 'Interactive e-book making platform production / distribution business', 'Game-type reading program production / distribution business', 'Habruta reading culture dissemination project using backward learning method', 'Youth coding branding "Teen-Start -Up"' were proposed as new services.

멀티빔 자료를 이용한 웹기반의 3차원 해저 지형 가시화

  • 밀티빔 음향 측심기 (Multibeam Echo Sounder)는 탐사선에 수직방향으로 해저면을 주사(Swath)하여, 한번의 송수신(Ping)으로 다중의 빔자료를 얻을 수 있는 측심기로, 해저면에 반사되어 되돌아오는 음파의 음압을 기록하고, 사이드 스캔 소나 자료도 동시에 취득하는 기능을 가지고 있으므로, 측심된 해저 지형(Bathymetry)과 해저 지형을 덮고 있는 해저면의 퇴적 상황(Sediment Environment)도 동시에 얻을 수 있는 다목적 측심기이다. 본 논문에서는 L3사의 Sea Beam 2100 멀티빔 음향 측심기를 통해 얻은 자료를 처리하여, 3차원 공간 데이터인 DEM(Digital Elevation Model)을 생성하고, VRML을 이용한 웹상에서의 해저 지형 가시화를 통해, 세계 어느 곳에서나 웹을 통하여 쉽게 정보를 공유할 수 있는 3차원 해저 지리 정보 시스템의 구현을 목적으로 한다. 멀티빔 음향 측심기를 통해 얻어진 자료는 항해 자료 보정, 음속 보정, 빔 좌표 계산과 분리, 오측심 자료 제거, 조석 보정 등의 단계를 거쳐 측심자료의 정확도 및 신뢰도를 높이는 과정을 거치게 된다. 보정된 멀티빔 음향 측심자료는 무작위 점 사상(Point Topology)으로 산재 되어 있는 빔 자료를 임의의 단위영역으로 변환하는 과정을 거쳐야 하는데, 이 과정을 격자화라고 한다. 자료의 격자화를 통해 3차원 공강 데이터인 DEM 파일을 제작하고, 이 DEM 파일과 음압 영상을 이용해 웹상에서의 3차원 해저 지형의 가시화를 실현한다. 웹상에서의 3차원 지형 가시화에서 방대한 양의 지형 데이터는 데이터 전송 시간과 렌더링 시간에 치명적인 문제이다. 따라서, 렌더링 시간과 데이터 전송 시간을 단축시키기 위한, 지형 자료의 LOD(Level of Detail)를 통해, VRML을 이용한 보다 효과적인 웹상에서의 3차원 해저 지형의 가시화를 실현한다.면 기업은 고객으로 공간적인 제약으로 인한 불신을 불식시키는 신뢰감을 주게 된다. 이러한 고객서비스 향상과 물류비용 절감은 사이버 쇼핑몰이 전국 어디서나 우리의 안방에서 자연스럽게 점할 수 있는 상황을 만들 것이다.SP가 도입되어, 설계업무를 지원하기위한 기본적인 시스템 구조를 구상하게 된다. 이와 함께 IT Model을 구성하게 되는데, 객체지향적 접근 방법으로 Model을 생성하고 UML(Unified Modeling Language)을 Tool로 사용한다. 단계 4)는 Software Engineering 관점으로 접근한다. 이는 최종산물이라고 볼 수 있는 설계업무 지원 시스템을 Design하는 과정으로, 시스템에 사용될 데이터를 Design하는 과정과, 데이터를 기반으로 한 기능을 Design하는 과정으로 나눈다. 이를 통해 생성된 Model에 따라 최종적으로 Coding을 통하여 실제 시스템을 구축하게 된다.the making. program and policy decision making, The objectives of the study are to develop the methodology of modeling the socioeconomic evaluation, and build up the practical socioeconomic evaluation model of the HAN projects including scientific and technological effects. Cognitive Biases and Their Effects on Information Behaviour of Graduate Students in Their Research Projects

  • Cognitive biases can influence human information behaviour and decisions made in information behaviour and use. This study aims to identify the biases involved in some aspects of information behaviour and the role they play in information behaviour and use. Twenty-five semi-structured face-to-face interviews were conducted in an exploratory qualitative study with graduate (MA and PhD) students who were at the stage of their dissertation/thesis research. Eisenberg & Berkowitz Big6TM Skills for Information Literacy was adopted as a framework for interviews and the analysis was done using grounded theory coding method. The findings revealed the presence of twenty-eight biases in different stages of information behaviour, including availability bias (affects the preference for information seeking strategies), attentional bias (leads to biased attention to some information), anchoring effect (persuades users to anchor in special parts of information), confirmation bias (increases the tendency to use information that supports one's beliefs), and choice-supportive bias (results in confidence in information seeking processes). All stages of information seeking were influenced by some biases. Biases might result in a lack of clarity in defining the information needs, failure in looking for the right information, misinterpretation of information, and might also influence the way information is presented.

  • This paper is in the intersection of software engineering and system engineering, two intimately intertwined disciplines. A dominating theme in this paper is the integral conceptualization of systems at large, as well as an underlying concern with software systems. In the software development life cycle, challenges still exist in translating requirements into a design artifact and then into an implementation (e.g., coding), then validating the results. From our perspective, software engineering requires an integrating paradigm toward a unified modeling orientation. Many methodologies, languages, and tools exist for facilitating system development processes. This paper is a venture into project development. To focus the materials, we concentrate on Harel's novel (and classic) development environment, which integrates a scenario-based engineering object orientation and statecharts through developing a railcar system. The railcar system is used as a detailed sample of translating requirements into a design artifact and then into an implementation, then validating the result. The project is re-cased as a single integrated modeling endeavor to be contrasted with the scenario and statecharts' development. The result of this scheme is an enriched understanding through experimenting with and contrasting various development methods of software projects.

  • In recent years, the user demands have increased for multimedia service of high quality over the broadband convergence network. These rising demands for high quality multimedia service led the popularization of various user terminals and large scale display equipments, which needs a variety type of QoS (Quality of Service). In order to support demands for QoS, numerous research projects are in progress both from the perspective of network as well as end system; For example, at the network perspective, QoS guaranteeing by improving of internet performance such as Active Queue Management, while at the end system perspective, SVC (Scalable Video Coding) encoding scheme to guarantee media quality. However, existing AQM algorithms have problems which do not guarantee QoS, because they did not consider the essential characteristics of video encoding schemes. In this paper, it is proposed to solve this problem by deploying the TS- AQM (Temporal Scalability Active Queue Management) which employs the differentiated packet dropping for dependency of the temporal level among the frames, based on SVC encoding characteristics by exploiting the TID (Temporal ID) field of the SVC NAL unit header. The proposed TS-AQM guarantees multimedia service quality through video decoding reliability for SVC streaming service, by differentiated packet dropping when congestion exists.

A Study on the Application and Effects of Smart Support System for Creativity in Engineering Education (공학교육에서 창의성 향상을 위한 스마트 지원 시스템 적용과 효과에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to explore the applicability and effects of Smart Support System for Creative Problem Solving(S3CPS) in engineering education. S3CPS is an online system developed to support learners' creative problem solving activities based on the CPS model proposed by Treffinger et al.(2000). In this study, it was applied in an engineering course in which students work in teams to design and produce creative robots with the purpose of verifying its effects on creative problem solving and team projects. To address the purpose, interviews and surveys were carried out to examine the effects of S3CPS. The qualitative data were analyzed through a generic coding process. Three ways to apply S3CPS in an engineering course based on team project were derived and effects of the system were also analyzed. It implies that specific design guidelines are required for the optimal use of the system for existing engineering courses.
