  • 기존 LED(Light Emitting Diode) 전류 제어용 SSPR(Secondary Side Post Regulator) 스위치를 갖는 구조의 다중출력 컨버터는 LED 정 전류 제어를 위한 별도의 부스트 컨버터 없이 전류제어가 가능하여 원가 및 부피 저감과 효율이 상승하는 장점이 있다. 하지만, 주 출력단(Master)의 피드백을 받아 1차 측 메인 스위치를 제어하게 되어 제어 회로가 복잡하고 주 출력단 부하 변동에 의해 부 출력단(Slave)의 크로스-레귤레이션(Cross-Regulation) 특성이 좋지 않은 단점이 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 기존 SSPR 스위치의 장점을 갖고 주 출력 단의 부하 변동에도 부 출력단의 크로스-레귤레이션 특성이 좋은 새로운 직렬 공진형 LED 구동회로를 제안한다. 최종적으로 제안 회로를 4채널 LED 구동회로에 적용하여 그 실험결과를 바탕으로 제안 회로의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • We have designed 5 V/500 mA transless type power module by using semiconductor switching technique, key technique for small size of power supply system. The power module is suitable to a small sized electronic system using a single power supply. It is composed of switching circuit using voltage drop type chopper method, control circuit, voltage detect circuit, and constant voltage circuit, and is fabricated to hybrid-IC type. The switching regulator power supply circuit, designed in this study, has satisfied the electrical characteristics of 5 V/500 mA transless type power module.

  • Protein-tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs) constitute a family of receptor-like and cytoplasmic enzymes. which catalyze the dephosphorylation of phosphotyrosine residues in a variety of receptors and signaling molecules. Thirty subtypes of PTPs have been identified in human genomes. Among PTPs, PTP1 B has been suggested as a negative regulator of insulin signaling. Overexpression of this enzyme has been known as a cause of obesity and type II diabetes, so it is a target for drug discovery. (omitted)

  • The constant voltage transformer(CVT) is a voltage regulator that has a high reliability, a good short circuit characteristic, a high input power factor, and a relative immunity to lightning strike. Moreover, this has a good line regulation without a voltage feedback control. In this paper, the characteristics of CVT for the changes of input voltage and other circuit parameters are investigated.

  • Power semiconductor devices had been producted with bipolar only processes, but Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS(BCD) processes have been adapted recently to fabricate these devices since most foundry companies have provided BCD processes instead of Bipolar only processes. In this study, Regulator and OP Amp are used as most popular design IPs and BCD processes for the designing are converted from bipolar only processes. Power Switching Sensor(PSS) ICs are designed specifically and fabricated on a silicon chip. The operation results of the packaged chip show the good matching with test results of the simulation.

  • The performance of power window system was decided by driving characteristics of the window regulator part and reaction by the glass run. The performance of power window system usually has been predicted by experimental methods. In this paper, an analytical method using the explicit code was suggested to overcome the limit of the experimental methods. The friction coefficient of glass run was obtained by the friction test at various conditions and the Mooney-Rivlin model was used. Also, a mechanism of window regulator consisted of the fast belt system and the slip ring elements. And, we conducted the analysis considering characteristic of a motor and obtained the lifting speed of automotive glass with high reliability

  • This paper describes the implementation of the vector control schemes for a variable-speed 131kW PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) in super-high speed application. The vector control with synchronous reference frame current regulator has been implemented with the challenging requirements such as the extremely low stator inductance$(28^{\mu}H)$, the high dc link voltage(600V) and the high excitation frequency(1.2kHz). Because the conventional position sensor is not reliable in super-high speed, a vector control scheme without any position sensor has been proposed. The proposed sensorless algorithm is implemented by processing the output voltage of the PI current regulator, and hence the structure is simple and the estimated speed is robust to the measurement noise. The experimental system has been built and the proposed control has been implemented and evaluated. The test result, up to the speed of 60,000 r/min, shows the validity of the proposed control.

Position Control for Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors using an Adaptive Integral Binary Observer

  • An approach to control the position for an interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) based on an adaptive integral binary observer is described. The binary controller with a binary observer is composed of a main loop regulator and an auxiliary loop regulator. One of its key features is that it alleviates chatter in the constant boundary layer. However, steady state estimation accuracy and robustness are dependent upon the thickness of the constant boundary layer. In order to improve the steady state performance of the binary observer and eliminate the chattering problem of the constant boundary layer, a new binary observer is formed by adding extra integral dynamics to the existing switching hyperplane equation. Also, the proposed adaptive integral binary observer applies an adaptive scheme because the parameters of the dynamic equations such as the machine inertia and the viscosity friction coefficient are not well known. Furthermore, these values can typically be easily changed during normal operation. However, the proposed observer can overcome the problems caused by using the dynamic equations, and the rotor position estimation is constructed by integrating the rotor speed estimated with a Lyapunov function. Experimental results obtained using the proposed algorithm are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.

  • 본 논문은 중용량 및 대용량에 적합하며 다중 출력 전원시스템의 슬림화에 유리한 새로운 LLC 공진형 DC/DC 컨버터에 관한 것으로써, 별도의 Post-regulator 및 제어 IC의 추가없이 정밀한 이중출력이 가능한 새로운 방식의 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안된 컨버터는 두 개의 트랜스를 이용하여 각 출력 단에 대한 독립된 두 개의 공진탱크를 갖기 때문에 탱크 설계가 용이하고, 다중출력을 필요로 하는 전원시스템의 소형화 및 슬림화에 유리하다. 또한 두 개의 출력을 각각 주파수와 듀티로 제어함에 따라 Post-Regulator 가 필요 없으며, 이로 인해 기존 LLC 공진형 DC/DC 컨버터에 비해 효율 및 발열 특성이 매우 우수하며, 저가의 컨버터 구현이 가능하다. 최종적으로 제안된 컨버터의 우수성과 타당성 검증을 위해, 실제로 42"" FHD급 PDP 용 전원회로를 위한 시작품을 제작하여 고찰된 실험결과를 제시한다.

  • 본 논문은 중용량에 적합한 새로운 이중출력 LLC 공진형 DC/DC 컨버터에 관한 것으로써, 별도의 Post-regulator및 추가되는 제어 IC 없이 정밀한 이중출력이 가능한 새로운 방식의 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안된 컨버터의 제어방식은 펄스폭 변조(PWM)와 동시에 주파수 변조(PFM)를 통해 이루어지며 Master 와 Slave 출력을 각각 주파수, 듀티로 제어함으로써 Slave 출력을 위한 별도의 Post-Regulator 및 제어 IC가 필요 없기 때문에, 저가의 컨버터 구현이 가능하다. 또한 기존 LLC 공진형 DC/DC 컨버터와 같이 스위칭 소자의 영전압 스위칭이 보장되는 동시에, Post-Regulator 로 인한 손실이 없기 때문에 효율 및 발열 특성이 매우 우수하다. 본 논문에서는 제안된 컨버터의 우수성과 신뢰성 검증을 위해, 실제로 50" FHD급 PDP용 전원회로를 위한 시작품을 제작하고 이를 이용한 실험결과를 바탕으로 제안된 컨버터의 타당성을 검증한다.
