Target Population과 Product Function의 Matrix 분석을 이용한 High Touch 신제품의 판매예측 방법 (A Method for Forecasting Demand of High Touch Product Using Matrix Analysis of Target Populations and Product Functions)

  • Demand forecasting methods for a consumer product such as TV or refrigerator are widely known. However, sales forecast for a brand new product cannot be estimated using conventional forecasting methods. This study proposes a five-step procedure in forecasting a newly developed product. Step one defines functions in a High Touch product in order to estimate relative attraction of the product to consumer group. In step two, for a comparison purpose, a compatible product that is successfully penetrated into market is selected. Step three breaks a target population into many segments based on demography. Step four calculates relative attraction between the High Touch product and the compatible product. Finally, market penetration rate of the High Touch product is estimated using a bell-shaped diffusion curve of the compatible product. The process offers a method to estimate potential demand and growth pattern of the new High Touch product.

패션, 예술, 산업의 협업사례 고찰 (Collaborations in Fashion and Arts Across Industry Disciplines)

  • Product development and marketing that appeal to consumer emotions are important as shown by a variety of product and service industries that integrate fashion and arts into product design and marketing through collaboration. This study attempted to analyze the patterns in the collaborations of fashion and arts across industry disciplines. A total of 278 collaboration cases reported in news articles were collected from internet databases. Cases were categorized into 5 disciplines of fashion-fashion, arts-arts, fashion-arts, fashion-other industries, and arts-other industries, with each category analyzed in frequency distribution and collaboration type along with related partner and industry characteristics. Collaborations with other industries were observed more than internal ones, and individuals (rather than firms) were more involved in collaborations. Though the collaboration characteristics were different by partner category and sub-category, by individual or firm, and by related industries, a variety of collaborations integrating fashion and arts into product design and development, a new brand launching, product line extension, and co-marketing were observed across product and industry disciplines. The study also described fashion and arts that were integrated into consumer life styles.

Re-development of Waterway system in Nihombashi River

  • Nihombashi is located in the central area of Tokyo, Japan. Tokyo has been the capital in Japan since the Edo period, which started approximately 400 years ago, and has accepted a variety of cultures, human resources, businesses for the last 400 years. This has resulted in building up the present prosperity. The Sumida River, one of the symbols of Tokyo and its tributaries including the Kanda River and the Nihombashi River, flows through the Nihombashi district. The river and tributaries used to benefit to the City of Edo. Due to the economic development and the industrial growth in Tokyo, however, they were polluted and lost their functions. In 1960s, approximately 40 years ago, the Sumida River became so dirty that local citizens kept away from it. The Nihombashi River was covered with an expressway, which was obscuring the river view. Since 1970s, local communities have proposed to rehabilitate rivers in Tokyo successively, and have proceeded with measures for river floods, improvement of sewage systems and construction of water purification facilities. Consequently, the quality of the river water was considerably improved in 1990. The stagnant rivers were turned into ones that local citizens were physically able to come close by. Today, restoring of the environment and the appearance of the city in the old days, Nihombashi district has been proposed as a model city of the future, which is alive with history and culture and harmonizing with rivers. The concept is "To Create, To Reserve, To Restore." This paper introduces a case study of the urban development, in which the local communities and public authorities collaborated with and proposed a brand-new style of the urban city harmonizing with the environment.

대형마트 PB상품 품질지각이 고객선호도에 미치는 영향 (The Influential Analysis for Customer Preference in the Perceived Quality of Hypermarket PB)

  • 본 유통업계의 변화에 따라 전략적 우위요소로 도입된 PB의 확산에 불구하고, 소비자의 PB 품질 지각 연구는 부족한 편이다. 이에 본 연구는 PB에 대한 지각된 품질의 영향 요인을 총체적으로 분석하여 유통업체 속성, 제품 속성으로 도출하였다. 또한 지각된 품질에 미치는 영향 속성을 찾고 지각된 품질을 통한 고객만족 및 선호도로 이어지는 영향력을 분석하였다. 본 연구 검정 결과 각 속성은 지각된 품질을 통해서만 고객만족으로 이어지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 연구를 통해 PB의 전략적 판매 우위는 소비자에게 총체적인 지각된 품질을 제공을 통하여 제시되어야 하며, PB에 대한 소비자의 선호도를 높일 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 세계적인 소비자 보호의 추세확산에 따라 선진국은 제조물 책임법을 이미 시행하고 있고, 우리나라는 2002년 7월 시행하게 되었다. 대부분 제조물에 초점을 이루고 있지만 특히, 식품의 경우 많은 소송이 제기될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 엄청난 피해와 기업의 손실도 막대할 것이다. 따라서 경제력 제고 및 소비자의 안정성 확보를 위한 가이드라인을 제시하고자 한다. 1. 제품정보와 품질안전을 쉽게 이해하기 위한 각종 수단을 강구한다. 2. 모든 PL대응 활동을 문서화하라. 3. 소비자의 피해에 초동 대응하라. 4. 평소에 안전기업 이미지를 구축한다. 5. 품질경영 시스템 수립 및 표준화의 유효한 수단이 ISO9000과 HACCP, PLMS를 시행한다. 6. 협력업체의 PL대응도 지원하라. 7. 업계 공동의 PL대응책을 모색하라.

1990~2013년 기사로 분석한 럭셔리 주얼리 브랜드의 국내 이벤트 유형 및 역할 (The types and roles of domestic events by luxury jewelry brands analyzed based on articles during the period of 1990~2013)

  • Global luxury jewelry brands had begun to launch their direct businesses in Korea since the 1990s, and have attained fast growth by holding events reflecting their philosophies. The purpose of this study was to analyze the background of their growth by examining the types and roles of events in Korea held by luxury jewelry brands. For the research method, the quantitative and qualitative analysis were performed about domestic events of Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Bvlgari, Chaumet, and Van Cleef & Arples during the period from 1990 to 2013. Also, theoretical study was reviewed. The results are as follows. The events are largely classified into jewelry exhibitions, jewelry shows, wedding fairs, and hybrids. The roles of such events were, first, the artification of products and, second, the contemporization of traditions. According to the findings of this study, luxury jewelry brands transmitted new emotions and values to their customers through their events in Korea, and extended their influence continuously over the Korean high-end jewelry market.

패밀리레스토랑 방문수요 결정요인 및 대체관계 분석 (Analysis on Determinant & Substitutive Relationship for Family Restaurant's Visit Demand)

  • 본 연구는 국내의 4개의 주요한 패밀리레스토랑를 이용한 경험이 있는 고객을 대상으로 방문횟수에 따른 수요 결정요인과 레스토랑 간 대체성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 방문 수요 결정요인으로는 인구통계적 특성, 패밀리레스토랑 브랜드 이미지, 레스토랑 이용횟수의 비율에 따라 유의적인 영향관계를 보이고 있으며 또한 편상관분석을 통한 경쟁관계의 레스토랑의 대체성을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 레스토랑 방문횟수에 영향을 주는 결정요인을 파악함으로서 레스토랑의 마케팅방향을 설정하고 경쟁 레스토랑 간의 경쟁관계를 살펴봄으로서 레스토랑의 경쟁력을 키울 수 있는 계기를 마련하는데 도움을 줄 수 있다.

우유 공동 광고 캠페인의 개선 방향 및 제언 (Plan and Suggestion for the Cooperatives Milk Campaign Improvement)

  • Since IMF relief financing, domestic economy has been rapidly cooled down. At this point that we predict an overall decrease of production and sale of industries, cooperative marketing activities of the whole dairy industry are required to promote milk consumption. As everyone knows, advertisement is only one of the various factors that affect sales. Other factors include price, distribution, package, promotion, and consumer's needs and taste. The objectives of the cooperative advertising campaign should be trial purchase of new consumers, maintenance of brand loyalty of existing consumers, more positive experience of using the product, and increase of frequency of purchase. Long term analysis is essential to making these kinds of behaviour changes. Also the objectives of the communication program should be a shift of awareness of milk from 'a basic health food for children' to a substitute to the beverage even for adults. To share database of consumers among companies, we need to find ways to use interactive on-line services, the internet, D.M. events and so on as well as the mass media. It should be a precondition that the main body of the cooperative advertisement includes the milk processing board, dairy companies, livestock cooperations, farmers and the Government. To assure continuous, activities to promote milk consumption, the Government should take the lead in legislating 'An enforcement ordinance for milk promotion and research', and seek complementary measures and support to establish the ordinance.

Critical Factors Affecting Construction Price Index: An Integrated Fuzzy Logic and Analytical Hierarchy Process

  • Nowadays, many construction engineering and technology enterprises are evolving to find that prosperity is driven and inspired by an open economy with dynamic markets and fierce multifaceted competition. Besides brand and product uniqueness, the ability to quickly provide customers with quotes are matters of concern. Such a requirement for prompt cost estimation of construction investment projects with the use of a construction price index poses a significant challenge to contractors. This is because the nature of the construction industry is shaped by changes in domestic and foreign economic factors, socio-financial issues, and is under the influence of various micro and macro factors. This paper presents a fuzzy decision-making approach for calculating critical factors that affect the construction price index. A qualitative approach was implemented based on in-depth interviews of experts in the construction industry in Vietnam. A synthetic comparison matrix was calculated using Buckley approach. The CoA approach was applied to defuzzified the fuzzy weights of factors that affect the construction price index. The research results show that the top five critical factors affecting the construction price index in Vietnam are (1) consumer price index, (2) gross domestic product, (3) basic interest rate, (4) foreign exchange rate, and (5) total export and import.

치과 방사선 촬영기의 표면선량 변화 (The survey of the surface doses of the dental x-ray machines)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate variability of doses with same exposure parameters and evaluate radiographic density according to the variability of doses. Materials and methods Twenty-eight MAX-GLS (Shinhung Co, Seoul, Korea), twenty-one D-60-5 (DongSeo Med, Seoul, Korea), and eleven REX-601 (Yoshida Dental MFG, Tokyo, Japan) dental x-ray machines were selected for this study Surface doses were measured under selected combinations of tube voltage, tube current, exposure time, and constant distance 42 cm from the focal spot to the surface of the Multi-O-meter (Unfors Instruments, Billdal, Sweden). Radiographic densities were measured on the films at maximum, minimum and mean surface doses of each brand of x-ray units. Results With MAX-GLS, the maximum surface doses were thirteen to fourteen times as much as the minimum surface doses. With D-60-S, the maximum surface doses were three to eight times as much as the minimum surface doses. With REX-601, the maximum surface doses were six to ten times as much as the minimum surface doses. The differences in radiographic densities among maximum, mean, and minimum doses were significant (p<0.01). Conclusion : The surface exposure doses of each x-ray machine at the same exposure parameters were different within the same manufacturer's machines.
