CoMFA Analyses on the Fungicidal Activity with N-phenylbenzensulfonamide Analogues against Gray Mold (Botrytis cinerea) (잿빛곰팡이균(Botrytis cinerea)에 대한 N-phenylbenzenesulfonamide 유도체들의 살균활성에 관한 CoMFA 분석)

  • The comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA) for the fungicidal activity with N-phenylbenzenesulfonamide analogues (1-45) against gray mold (Botriyts cinerea) were studied quantitatively. The statistical values of CoMFA models had much better predictability and fitness than those of comparative molecular similarity indices analysis (CoMSIA) models. The statistical values of the optimized CoMFA I model were predictablity, $r^2_{cv.}(or\;q^2)=0.457$ and correlation coefficient, $r^2_{ncv.}=0.959$, and their fungicidal activity was dependent on the steric field (52%) and electrostatic field (35.6%) of the substrate molecules. And also, it was found that the optimized CoMFA I model with the sensitivity to perturbation ($d_q^{2'}/dr^2_{yy'}=0.898$) and prediction ($q^2=0.346$ & SDEP=0.614) produced by a progressive scrambling analysis was not dependent on chance correlation. From the results of graphical analyses on the contour maps with the optimized CoMFA I model, it is expected that the $R_3$ and $R_4$-substituents on the N-phenyl ring as steric favor group and para-substituents ($R_1$) on the S-phenyl ring as steric disfavor group will contribute to the fungicidal activity. Therefore, the optimized CoMFA I model should be applicable to the prediction of the fungicidal activities against gray mold.

  • $ErCo_2$화합물에서 Co를 천이원소로 10%만큼 치환한 $Er(Co_{0.9}M_{0.1})_2$화합물(M=Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu)의 비정질화 온도를 측정해서 수소유기 비정질화에 영향을 미치는 인자에 대해 살펴보았다. 비정질화 온도는 치환원소의 원자반경과 비례함을 알 수 있었다 그러므로 $ErCo_2$ Laves 화합물에서 수소유기 비정질화에 영향을 미치는 인자는 확산과 밀접한 연관이 있는 원자의 크기임을 알 수 있다.

3D-QSAR Analysis on the Insecticidal Activities of N-Substituents on Imidazol Ring in Imidacloprid Analogues (Imidacloprid 유도체 중 imidazol 고리상 N-치환체들의 살충활성에 대한 3D-QSAR 분석)

  • CoMFA and CoMSIA model were derived and reviewed on the insecticidal activities of N-substituents (X) on the imidazol ring in imidacloprid analogues at the different alignment condition. Regarding the predictability ($q^2$ or $r_{cv.}^2$) and fitness ($r_{ncv.}^2$) of the two optimized models, the atom based fit (A) alignments were better than that of the field fit (F) alignment and, on the other hand, CoMSIA (A10) model was better than CoMFA (A5) model. Also, from the most optimized CoMSIA (A10) model, the insecticidal activity by N-substituents (X) was dependence on the electrostatic field and H-bond acceptor field. It is predicted that, from the contour maps with optimized CoMSIA (A10) model, H-bond acceptors at ortho- and meta- position will contribute for improving of insecticidal activities and, as the functional groups of carbonyl oxygen atom are charged negatively and positively charged at the ortho- position of benzyl group, insecticidal activities will also be improved.

  • The resonant frequency fo and unloaded quality factor Qu of CoTi-substituted Barium ferrites($\textrm{BaCo}_{x}\textrm{Ti}_{x}\textrm{Fe}_{12-2x}\textrm{O}_{19}$, $1.0\leq\textrm{x}\leq5.0$) were measured at frequencies between 5 to 10GHz using the paralleled copper-plate wave guide method. The measurements showed that the permittivities of CoTi-substituted Barium ferrites(CoTi-BF) increased from 14.7 to 23.4 with the contents of CoTi, x, and the loss tangents had values of $\textrm{10}^{-3}$ order. From these results, CoTi-BF are considered to be very promising materials in microwave devices such as dielctric resonator antennas.

  • 3D-QSARs on the fungicidal activity of N-phenylbenzenesulfonamide and N-phenyl-2-thienylsulfonamide analogues (1-37) against Phytophthora blight (Phytophthora capsici) were studied quantitatively using CoMFA and CoMSIA methods. The statistical results of the optimized CoMFA (2) model ($r^2_{cv.}(q^2)$ = 0.692 & $r^2_{ncv.}$= 0.965) show better predictability and fitness than CoMSIA (2) model ($r^2_{cv.}(q^2)$ = 0.796 & $r^2_{ncv.}$= 0.958). The fungicidal activities according to the information of the optimized CoMFA (2) model were dependent upon the steric and electrostatic fields of the molecules. Therefore, from the contribution contour maps of CoMFA (2) model, it is expected that 63% contribution was caused by the steric bulk of meta-substituent ($R_1$) on the S-phenyl ring. Also, the other contribution level of 32.9% was represented by the positive charged $R_4-group$ ($R_1$) on the N-phenyl ring and para-substituent ($R_1$) on the S-phenyl ring. A series of higher active compounds, $R_1$= 3-decyl substituent ($pred.pI_50$= 5.88) etc. were predicted based on the findings.

  • The present study prepared 13 mixes to examine fundamental mixture proportions of corrosion inhibitor repair mortars. The mortar mixes were classified into three groups according to the selected test variables which are the substitution level of polymer for Group 1, ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS) and fly ash (FA) for Group 2, and corrosion inhibitor for Group 3. Based on the test results, the optimum substitution levels of GGBS and FA could be recommended as 10% and 20%, respectively, though 1-day strength of mortar significantly decreased with their substitution. Furthermore, the appropriate substitution level of corrosion inhibitor was considered to be less than 1.5%. The flexural strength of mortar tested was higher than the predictions obtained from ACI 318-11 equation. The shrinkage strain of mortar was also conservative after an age of around 10 days compared with the predictions of ACI 209.

  • The Effects of Co-substitution in the nanocrystalline Nd-Fe-B-Mo-Cu alloys were investigated. $\alpha$-Fe based nanocrystalline Nd-Fe-B-Mo-Cu alloys were prepared by crystallization process of amorphous Nd-Fe-B-Mo-Cu alloy produced by rapid solidification process. The substitution of Co resulted in the decrease of grain size and improves the hard magnetic properties. The remanence, coercivity, and Curie temperature of nanocrystalline N $d_4$(F $e_{0.85}$ $Co_{0.15}$)$_{82}$ $B_{10}$M $o_3$Cu alloy showed more improved magnetic properties than those of Co-free alloy. The grain size was measured to be about 15 nm. The coercivity, remanence and maximum energy product were 239 kA/m, 1.41, and 103.5 kJ/ $m^3$, respectively, for the nanocrystalline N $d_4$(F $e_{0.85}$ $Co_{0.15}$)$_{82}$ $B_{10}$M $o_3$Cu alloy annealed for 0.6 ks at 640 $^{\circ}C$.

The Effects of Na2CO3 on Early Strength of High Volume Slag Cement (대량치환 슬래그 시멘트의 초기강도에 미치는 Na2CO3의 영향)

  • This report presents the results of an investigation on the early strength development of pastes high volume slag cement (HVSC) activated with different concentration of sodium carbonate ($Na_2CO_3$). The ordinary Portland cement (OPC) was replaced by ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) from 50% to 90% by mass, the dry powders were blended before the paste mixing. The $Na_2CO_3$ was added at 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10% by total binder (OPC+GGBFS) weight. A constant water-to-binder ratio (w/b)=0.45 was used for all mixtures. The research carried out the compressive strength, ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV), water absorption and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis at early ages(1 and 3 days). The incase of mixtures, V5 (50% OPC + 50% GGBFS), V6 (40% OPC + 60% GGBFS) and V7 (30% OPC + 70% GGBFS) specimens with 6% $Na_2CO_3$, V8 (20% OPC + 80% GGBFS) and V9 (10% OPC + 90% GGBFS) specimens with 10% $Na_2CO_3$ showed the maximum strength development. The results of UPV and water absorption showed a similar tendency to the strength properties. The XRD analysis of specimens indicated that the hydration products formed in samples were CSH and calcite phases.

Magnetic and Microwave Absorbing Properties of M-type Ba-ferrite($BaFe_{12-2X}Ti_XCo_XO_{19}$)with Planar Magnetic Anisortropy (면내 자기이방성을 갖는 M-type Ba-ferrite($BaFe_{12-2X}Ti_XCo_XO_{19}$)의 자기적특성 및 전파흡수특성)

  • The purpose of this experimenL is to investigate the magnetic anisotropy and microwave absorbing properties in M-type Bat territe (${BaFe}_{12-2X}{A}_{X}{Me}_{X}{O}_{19}$), where $Fe_{3+}$ is substituted by $Ti_{4+}$ in A site and $Co_{2+}$ in Me site. The saturation magnetization (Ms) is linearly decreased with the substitution rate(x) and the coerciviLy (He) is rapidly decreased in accordance with the reduction in t the magnetocrystalline anisotropy For the specimen with x=0.8 and thickness of 2 mm, the reflection loss calculated from the n material constants is less than -10 dB (90% absorption) in the frequency range of 10~16 GHz. The absorption loss is pre이.ctcd t to be more than 20 dElern in the frequency range of 12-16 GHz. The results demonstrate that the Ti-Co substituted M-type Ba-ferrite can be effectively used as a microwave absorber at high frequency range.
