  • IEEE 802.15.4e-TSCH is recognized as a wireless industrial sensor network standard used in IoT systems. To ensure both power savings and reliable communications, the TSCH standard uses techniques including channel hopping and bandwidth reserve. In TSCH mode, scheduling is crucial because it allows sensor nodes to select when data should be delivered or received. Because a wide range of applications may necessitate energy economy and transmission dependability, we present a distributed approach that uses a cluster tree topology to forecast scheduling requirements for the following slotframe, concentrating on the Poisson model. The proposed Optimized Minimal Scheduling Function (OMSF) is interested in the details of the scheduling time intervals, something that was not supported by the Minimal Scheduling Function (MSF) proposed by the 6TSCH group. Our contribution helps to deduce the number of cells needed in the following slotframe by reducing the number of negotiation operations between the pairs of nodes in each cluster to settle on a schedule. As a result, the cluster tree network's error rate, traffic load, latency, and queue size have all decreased.

  • This paper proposes how to reduce the amount of data transmitted in each sensor and cluster head in order to lengthen the lifetime of sensor network. The most important factor of reducing the sensor's energy dissipation is to reduce the amount of messages transmitted. This paper proposed is to classify the node's cluster state into 6 categories in order to reduce both the number and amount of data transmission: Initial, Cluster Head, Cluster Member, Non-transmission Cluster Head, Non-transmission Cluster Member, and Sleep. This should increase the efficiency of filtering and decrease the inaccuracy of the data compared to the methods which enlarge the filter width to do more filtering. This method is much more efficient and effective than the previous work. We show through various experiments that our scheme reduces the network traffic significantly and increases the network's lifetime than existing methods.

  • Korea government has established 67 agri-food clusters for 10 years. In recent years, the criticism of this policy has significantly increased due to trials and errors. The purpose of this study is to suggest some policy implications for the focal firm and governance mechanism through the case study of Muan Loess Sweet Potato Cluster. The concept of netchain was used as an analysis framework. Muan Loess Sweet Potato Cluster doesn't operate an integrated production organization and focal firm doesn't exercise its influence as well. The cluster agency, focal firm of Cluster, is important for a Agri-food Cluster to grow continuously. it must have a great influence on organizing networks and an enough capacity for forming coordination mechanism. Also, Local governments must actively be involved in the network formation and coordination and inform the vision and plan for development.

  • The size of data generated and collected at industrial sites or in public institutions is growing rapidly. The existing data processing server often handles the increasing data by increasing the performance by scaling up. However, in the big data era, when the speed of data generation is exploding, there is a limit to data processing with a conventional server. To overcome such limitations, a distributed cluster computing system has been introduced that distributes data in a scale-out manner. However, because distributed cluster computing systems distribute data, inefficient use of network bandwidth can degrade the performance of the cluster as a whole. In this paper, we propose a scheme that compresses data when transmitting data in a Hadoop cluster considering network bandwidth. The proposed scheme considers the network bandwidth and the characteristics of the compression algorithm and selects the optimal compression transmission scheme before transmission. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme reduces data transfer time and size.

  • The abstract should summarize the contents of the paper and written below the author information. Use th In Wide-area Wireless Sensor Networks, network lifetime is short due to energy consumption due to transmission distance. To improve this, we divide the sensor field into layers and reduce transmission distance through multi-hop transmission. However, there is a problem in that the transmission rate drops because there is no Cluster Head in the layer, or the transmission distance increases due to the layer, and energy is wasted. There are DL-LEACH and EDL-LEACH as Protocols to improve this. DL-LEACH uses either single-hop transmission or multi-hop transmission depending on the situation. As a result, the transmission distance is optimized, thereby reducing energy consumption. In case of EDL-LEACH, it is proposed to improve the data rate in DL-LEACH. It is the same as DL-LEACH, but the Cluster Head is mandatory for all layers to improve the transmission rate. Although there is no Cluster Head for each layer, the transmission rate is improved, but the network life is shortened. In this paper, we try to improve the network lifetime while maintaining the EDL-LEACH transmission rate. The shortened network lifetime is due to Cluster Head overload near the base station. To improve this, the Cluster Head distribution method is improved and the network lifetime is improved.

  • A mobile ad-hoc network is an autonomous collection of wireless mobile nodes that organizes a temporary network without any network infrastructure. Due to node mobility, it is a challenging task to maintain the network topology. In this paper, we propose a stable clustering algorithm that uses node mobility for cluster formation. In the proposed algorithm, the node mobility is measured by counting the number of nodes entering into/leaving from its transmission range. The node having the lowest mobility is selected as a cluster head. For topology maintenance with reduced control overhead, the cluster head adaptively controls the broadcasting period of hello message to the measured node mobility. Through computer simulations, it is verified that the proposed algorithm outperforms previous clustering algorithms in terms of control overhead, the rate of node mobility changes and the number of cluster head changes.

  • Clustering protocol of Wireless sensor networks(WSNs) not only reducing the volume of inter-node communication by the nodes's data aggreation but also extending the nodes's sleep times by cluster head's TDMA-schedule coordination. In order to extend network lifetime of WSNs, we propose ECS algorithm to select cluster-head using three variables. It consists of initial and current energy of nodes, round information and total numbers which have been selected as cluster head until current round.

  • In recent years, an increasing amount of computer network research has focused on the problem of cluster system in order to achieve higher performance and lower cost. The load unbalance is the major defect that reduces performance of a cluster system that uses parallel program in a form of SPMD (Single Program Multiple Data). Also, the load unbalance is a problem of MPP (Massive Parallel Processors), and distributed system. The cluster system is a loosely-coupled distributed system, therefore, it has higher communication overhead than MPP. Dynamic load balancing can solve the load unbalance problem of cluster system and reduce its communication cost. The cluster systems considered in this paper consist of P heterogeneous nodes connected by a switch-based network. The master node can predict the average execution time of tasks for each slave node based on the information from the corresponding slave node. Then, the master node redistributes remaining tasks to each node considering the predicted execution time and the communication overhead for task migration. The proposed dynamic load balancing uses execution time prediction to optimize the task redistribution. The various performance factors such as node number, task number, and communication cost are considered to improve the performance of cluster system. From the simulation results, we verified the effectiveness of the proposed dynamic load balancing algorithm.

  • Wireless sensor networks (WSN) consist of a large amount of sensor nodes distributed in a certain region. Due to the limited battery power of a sensor node, lots of energy-efficient schemes have been studied. Clustering is primarily used for energy efficiency purpose. However, clustering in WSNs faces several unattained issues, such as ensuring connectivity and scheduling inter-cluster transmissions. In this paper, we propose a location-based spiral clustering (LBSC) algorithm for improving connectivity and avoiding inter-cluster collisions. It also provides reliable location aware routing paths from all cluster heads to a sink node during cluster formation. Proposed algorithm can simultaneously make clusters in four spiral directions from the center of sensor field by using the location information and residual energy level of neighbor sensor nodes. Three logical addresses are used for categorizing the clusters into four global groups and scheduling the intra- and inter-cluster transmission time for each cluster. We evaluated the performance with simulations and compared it with other algorithms.

  • This study investigates how characteristics in the value-chain industrial cluster affect the R&D investment and the output of firms in each industries. For this, we try to extract the inter-industrial networking structure from the input-output table in which 17 manufacturing sectors are included. In particular, we will give shape to the "unit structure" which shows the intermediary flows of goods and services between industries in order to get an unit of final demand in a certain industry. Using this "unit structure", we can try the inter-industrial networking analysis and get some indices of centrality and centralization related to the characteristics of each industries in the value-chain industrial cluster. The results show that the centrality in the value-chain industrial cluster does not have any consequence for the R&D investment and the output in each industries. However, there is a correlation between the centralization in the value-chain industrial cluster and the R&D investment and the output of firms in each industries. These results may be very suggestive in bringing up a new frame of industrial cluster policy in a macro level.
