  • In this paper, a model is proposed to comprehensively evaluate the computational power. The five forces model of computational power solves the problem that the measurement units of different indexes are not unified in the process of computational power evaluation. It combines the bidirectional projection method with TOPSIS method. This model is more scientific and effective in evaluating the comprehensive situation of computational power. Lastly, an example shows the validity and practicability of the model.

  • Cloud computing has evolved into a core computing infrastructure for the internet that encompasses content, as well as communications, applications and commerce. By providing powerful computing and communications capabilities in the palm of the hand everywhere with a variety of smart devices, mobile applications such as virtual reality, sensing and navigation have emerged and radically changed the patterns people live. The data that is generated is getting bigger. Cloud computing, on the other hand, has problems with system load and speed due to the collection, processing and control of remote data. To solve this problem, fog computing has been proposed in which data is collected and processed at an edge. In this paper, we propose a system that dynamically selects a fog server that acts as a cloud in the edge. It serves as a mediator in the cloud, and provides information on the services and systems belonging to the cloud to the mobile device so that the mobile device can act as a fog. When the role of the fog system is complete, we provide it to the cloud to virtualize the fog. The heterogeneous problem of data of mobile nodes can be solved by using mDBaaS (Mobile DataBase as a Service) and we propose a system design method for this.

  • With the continuous and outstanding development of information technology(IT), human being is coming to the new computing era which is called cloud computing. This era brings lots of huge benefits also at the same time release the resources of IT infrastructure and data boom for man. In the future no longer, most of IT service providers, enterprises, organizations and systems will adopt this new computing model. There are three main deployment models in cloud computing including public cloud, private cloud and hybrid cloud; each one also has its own cons and pros. While implementing any kind of cloud services, customers have to choose one of three above deployment models. Thus, our paper aims to represent a practical framework to help the adopter select which one will be the best suitable deployment model for their requirements by evaluating each model comprehensively. The framework is built by applying the analytic hierarchy process(AHP), namely benefit-cost-opportunity-risk(BCOR) model as a powerful and effective tool to serve the problem. The gained results hope not only to provide useful information for the readers but also to contribute valuable knowledge to this new area. In addition, it might support the practitioners' effective decision making process in case they meet the same issue and have a positive influence on the increase of right decision for the organization.

  • Cloud computing has been increasingly used in various fields due to its flexibility, scalability, cost effectiveness, etc. Recently, many scientific communities have been attempting to use cloud computing as a way to deal with difficulties in constructing and operating a research infrastructure. Especially, since they need various collaborations based on networking, such as sharing experimental data, redistributing experimental results, and so forth, cloud computing environment that supports high performance networking is required for scientific communities. To address these issues, we propose RealLab, a high performance cloud platform for collaborative research that provides virtual experimental research environment and data sharing infrastructure over KREONET/GLORIAD. Additionally, we describe some RealLab use cases for showing the swift creation of experimental environment and explain how massive experimental data can be transferred and shared among the community members.

  • Recently, the requirement of processing High Definition (HD) video or 3D application on low, mobile devices has been expanded and content data has been increased as well. It is becoming a major issue in Cloud computing where a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Service needs efficient data processing ability to provide Quality of Experience (QoE) in Cloud computing. In this paper, we propose three kind of Thick-Thin VDI Service which can share and delegate VDI service based on Thick Client using CPU and GPU. Furthermore, we propose and discuss the VDI Service Optimization Method in mixed CPU and GPU Heterogeneous Environment using CPU Parallel Processing OpenMP and GPU Parallel Processing CUDA.

  • Recently, the implementations of private and public cloud service (IaaS: Infrastructure as a Service) have been growing rapidly. As a result, the need to provide High-Availability and Load-Balancing for the users has also increased. Openstack which is one of cloud computing solutions currently offers a feature to meet the need through an extension called Load Balancing as a Service (LBaaS). This paper will provide a detailed explanation about Openstack's LBaaS and its operation principle will be analyzed through the actual implementation.

  • As cloud computing can utilize the proper allocation of system resources, it can be expected to have great benefits in terms of maintaining availability and reducing costs when a cloud is applied to a financial company's computer system. Although some provisions of the Financial Supervisory Regulation were revised in October 2016, this is limited to non-critical information processing systems, limits are remain whitch the application of cloud computing to the whole computer system of financial companies including electronic financial systems. In this paper, cloud security requirements are studied for the application of financial company's computational infrastructure system.

Study of Danger-Theory-Based Intrusion Detection Technology in Virtual Machines of Cloud Computing Environment

  • In existing cloud services, information security and privacy concerns have been worried, and have become one of the major factors that hinder the popularization and promotion of cloud computing. As the cloud computing infrastructure, the security of virtual machine systems is very important. This paper presents an immune-inspired intrusion detection model in virtual machines of cloud computing environment, denoted I-VMIDS, to ensure the safety of user-level applications in client virtual machines. The model extracts system call sequences of programs, abstracts them into antigens, fuses environmental information of client virtual machines into danger signals, and implements intrusion detection by immune mechanisms. The model is capable of detecting attacks on processes which are statically tampered, and is able to detect attacks on processes which are dynamically running. Therefore, the model supports high real time. During the detection process, the model introduces information monitoring mechanism to supervise intrusion detection program, which ensures the authenticity of the test data. Experimental results show that the model does not bring much spending to the virtual machine system, and achieves good detection performance. It is feasible to apply I-VMIDS to the cloud computing platform.

A Task Scheduling Strategy in Cloud Computing with Service Differentiation

  • Task scheduling is one of the key issues in improving system performance and optimizing resource management in cloud computing environment. In order to provide appropriate services for heterogeneous users, we propose a novel task scheduling strategy with service differentiation, in which the delay sensitive tasks are assigned to the rapid cloud with high-speed processing, whereas the fault sensitive tasks are assigned to the reliable cloud with service restoration. Considering that a user can receive service from either local SaaS (Software as a Service) servers or public IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) cloud, we establish a hybrid queueing network based system model. With the assumption of Poisson arriving process, we analyze the system model in steady state. Moreover, we derive the performance measures in terms of average response time of the delay sensitive tasks and utilization of VMs (Virtual Machines) in reliable cloud. We provide experimental results to validate the proposed strategy and the system model. Furthermore, we investigate the Nash equilibrium behavior and the social optimization behavior of the delay sensitive tasks. Finally, we carry out an improved intelligent searching algorithm to obtain the optimal arrival rate of total tasks and present a pricing policy for the delay sensitive tasks.

  • In this paper, we proposes digital content management technology in a cloud computing environment. proposes digital content management technology in a cloud computing environment. Computing services using networks are basic infrastructure services that cannot be missed in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Financial services, digital content services, and industrial and home network services using smartphones are changing from services in the local area to a cloud service environment where the entire service is possible. Therefore, this study proposed a system to safely support digital content services suitable for cloud computing environments. The proposed system provides convenience and safety for users to access the system, protects the copyright of digital content authors, and provides a secure digital content distribution and management system. The purpose of this study is to stabilize and revitalize the digital content market by providing a digital content distribution structure suitable for the cloud computing environment.
