  • To efficiently provide cloud computing services to users over the Internet, IT resources must be configured in the data center based on virtualization and distributed computing technology. This paper focuses specifically on the problem that new training data can be added at any time in a wide range of fields, and new attributes can be added to training data at any time. In such a case, rule generated by the training data with the former attribute set can not be used. Moreover, the rule can not be combined with the new data set(with the newly added attributes). This paper proposes further development of the new inference engine that can handle the above case naturally. Rule generated from former data set can be combined with the new data set to form the refined rule.

  • Several survey observations have produced light curves of more than five thousand eclipsing binaries for last 15 years. Future missions such as the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST), the Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System (Pan-STARRS) and Gaia are expected to yield hundreds thousands of new variable stars and eclipsing binaries. Current methods require a week to analyze the light curves of an eclipsing binary for its physical and orbital parameters. The current methods of analyzing the light curves will be inadequate to treat the overwhelming influx of new data. Therefore we developed a new method to treat large numbers of light curves of eclipsing binaries. We tested the new method by analyzing more than one hundred light curves of the detached and semi-detached eclipsing binaries discovered in the Small Magellan Cloud and present their fitted light curves with observations.

  • The concept causing all the fuss is "the utility computing or the usage-based IT service", which now represents the future for IT asset in all aspects of the way they work in business, the commercial and public sector. The core of "utility computing or usage-based IT service" is changing the IT assert from "ownership" to "borrowing", which enables managers to get greater utilization of data-centre resources at lower operating costs. This trend is spreaded in public sector centering the Governmental Internet data Center of Korea(NCIA). So, it has need to make an usage-based IT service model that is suitable for public sector. In this paper, we propose the usage-based IT service model that is composed of IT service framework, service pricing model and IT service architecture.

  • The role of artificial medical intelligence through medical big data has been focused on data-based medical device business and medical service technology development in the field of diagnostic examination of the patient's current condition, clinical decision support, and patient monitoring and management. Recently, with the 4th Industrial Revolution, the medical field changed the medical treatment paradigm from the method of treatment based on the knowledge and experience of doctors in the past to the form of receiving the help of high-precision medical intelligence based on medical data. In addition, due to the spread of non-face-to-face treatment due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is expected that the era of telemedicine, in which patients will be treated by doctors at home rather than hospitals, will soon come. It can be said that artificial medical intelligence plays a big role at the center of this paradigm shift in prevention-centered treatment rather than treatment. Based on big data, this paper analyzes the current status of artificial intelligence technology for chronic disease patients, market trends, and domestic and foreign company trends to predict the expected effect and future development direction of artificial intelligence technology for chronic disease patients. In addition, it is intended to present the necessity of developing digital therapeutics that can provide various medical services to chronically ill patients and serve as medical support to clinicians.

  • In a study for LiDAR data based building boundary extraction, usually dense point cloud was used to cluster building rooftop area and extract building outline. However, when we used DSM generated from stereo image matching to extract building boundary, it is not trivial to cluster building roof top area automatically due to outliers and large holes of point cloud. Thus, we propose a technique to extract building boundary semi-automatically from the DSM created from stereo images. The technique consists of watershed segmentation for using user input as markers and recursive MBR algorithm. Since the proposed method only inputs simple marker information that represents building areas within the DSM, it can create building boundary efficiently by minimizing user input.

  • Among the network information services combined with a number of security technologies and required security policies, Infrastructure as a Service, a hardware plat-form service of Cloud Computing, has been provided since 2011. It is more or less similar to the existing central concentration method services, in terms of the specifications and technical aspects for given hardware category, but it is entirely different from them in that it overcomes the spatial limitations of specific network and targets the public network. Information security technology has also been prospering so that it could ensure the stability of offered hardware plat-forms. As currently supported hardware, Internet Data Center has been provided by virtualizing the previously offered servers and discs (backup discs), but the hardware plat-forms offered are somewhat limited. Meanwhile, the areas of security fields for offered services are confined to the center or include the TCP/IP-based SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) for the public network connected with clients, which shows that microscopic access security policies have been used. Therefore, this study was aimed to provide a realistic security mechanism for realizing defense policy, by expanding service areas into security devices and suggesting Diskless and Stateless security policy based high-speed synchronous network infrastructure.

  • Surface insolation is one of the major indicators for climate research over the Earth system. For the climate research, long-term data and wide range of spatial coverage from the data observed by two or more of satellites of the same orbit are needed. It is important to improve the continuity and consistency of the derived products, such as surface insolation, from different satellites. In this study, surface insolations based on Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES-9) and Multi-functional Transport Satellites (MTSAT-1R) were compared during overlap period using physical model of insolation to find ways to improve the consistency and continuity between two satellites through comparison of each channel data and ground observation data. The thermal infrared brightness temperature of two satellites show a relatively good agreement between two satellites : rootmean square error (RMSE)=5.595 Kelvin; Bias=2.065 Kelvin. Whereas, visible channels shown a quite different values, but it distributed similar tendency. And the surface insolations from two satellites are different from the ground observation data. To improve the quality of retrieved insolations, we have reproduced surface insolation of each satellite through adjustment of the Cloud Factor, and the Cloud Factor for GOES-9 satellite is modified based on the analysis result of difference channel data. As a result, the insolations estimated from GOES-9 for cloudy conditions show good agreement with MTSAT-1R and ground observation : RMSE=$83.439W\;m^{-2}$ Bias=$27.296W\;m^{-2}$. The result improved accuracy confirms that the modification of Cloud Factor for GOES-9 can improve the continuity and consistency of the insolations derived from two or more satellites.
