The purpose of this study was to explain the attitudes and acceptance toward the smart clothing adopted by the TAM(Technology Acceptance Model). A theoretical model on consumer acceptance of the commercialized smart clothing was constructed on the basis of previous studies and a review of literature and tested the path analysis. For the data analysis, statistical methods of confirmatory factor analysis, correlation, and covariance structural analysis using AMOS 5.0 package were employed. The results from a web-based survey of 557 online consumers indicate that the TAM by Davis(1989) adopted by perceived value according to market price was able to explain consumer acceptance of smart clothing substantially well. Using structural equation modeling, eight of the six hypotheses investigated in this study were supported. The results of the testing of the hypothesis were as fellows: First, perceived ease of use had a side effect on attitude through perceived usefulness. In addition, the attitude was found to affect consumer acceptance. Second, perceived usefulness was found to affect consumer attitude on perceived value, however, had not significant effect on consumer acceptance toward smart clothing. Third, perceived value was found to affect both consumer acceptance and attitude toward smart clothing. Finally, the attitude toward smart clothing had a direct effect on the consumer acceptance.

The purpose of this study was to investgate the relationship between two aspects of sex role and two aspects of clothing behavior. For Sex Role: Sex role attitude was measured by Smith, Ferree, and Miller's Feminism Scale, and sex role personality was measured by Bem's Sex Role Inventory. For Clothing Behavior: a unisex clothing behavior questionnaire was developed for this study, and general clothing behavior was assessed with Lee; Kahng; Kim; and Kim's questionnaires dealing with fashion and modesty. The questionnaires were administered to a sample of male and female college students attending universities in Seoul. The data for 349 respondents were analyzed by correlation, analysis of variance and t-tests. The results were: 1) Liberal attitudes toward sex role were positively related to unisex clothing behavior for female college students. 2) The androgynous female group exhibited significantly higher 'interest in unisex clothing behavior' attitude than non-androgynous female students. 3) Feminine personality in men was positively related to a positive attitude toward unisex clothing. Masculinine personality in women was positively related to unisex clothing behavior that is they were more likely to be interested in, to wear, and to agree to others wearing unisex clothing. 4) Liberal attitudes toward sex role were not related to modesty in clothing. 5) Scores of women on positive attiudes toward liberal sex roles, unisex clothing behavior, fashion, and modesty were significantly higher than these of men.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the following contents: 1. Relationship between clothing behavior(modesty, conformity, importance) and clothing regulations of school girls. 2. The differences between middle school girls and high school girls in clothing behavior and in attitude toward clothing regulations. 3. The differences between students herself norms and subiective norms(the students thoughts which would be parents opinions and teachers opinions) in attitude toward clothing regulations. Questionnaires were designed and administered to 300 middle school girls and 302 high school girls in Inchon. The obtained data were statistically analyzed by Pearson’s correlation coefficients, t-test, F-test, and Duncan test. The results of the study were summarized as follows: 1. As tho the differences in responses between school levels, the high school girls showed higher interest in conformity. But there is no differences in Modesty and Importance by school levels. 2. As tho the differences in responses between school levels, there were no differences in attitude toward clothing regulations. But according by types of clothing regulations, high school girls showed higher desire in shoes and sack. 3. In correlation coefficients between the variables on clothing behaviors and the attitudes toward clothing regulations of school girls, modesty is the most related toward clothing regulations of school girls and conformity, importance the next. The higher the school girls are in modesty, the more follow the clothing regulations. And the higher the school girls are in conformity and importance, the lower follow the clothing regulations. 4. The differences between students herself norms and subjective norms(the students thoughts which would be parents opinions and teachers opinions), students and parents showed lower scores than teachers. That is tho say, teachers put more restrictions on students clothing than parents do.

The purpose of this study was to research the attitude and purchase intention of domestic women consumers toward fashion cultural products with Korean image and also to identify the influential factors on them. To accomplish the purpose of this study, attitude toward Korean culture, openness toward other countries, experience of staying abroad, variety seeking tendency and demographic factors were selected as consumer variables that may influence the attitude and purchase intention. The quantitative research using the questionnaire was implemented with the subjects of female consumers between the age of 20s and 40s. Data were collected online from October $11{\sim}20$, 2007, and 300 responses were used in the analysis. Collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, paired t-test, independent t-test, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 12.0. The results of the research are as follows. The attitude towards fashion cultural products with Korean image was influenced by consumer variables such as variety seeking tendency and attitude toward Korean Culture. Especially, consumers who seek for higher variety showed a positive attitude toward fashion cultural products with Korean image. Next, consumers' attitude toward fashion products with Korean image showed a great effect on purchase intention. Managerial implications and limitations of the research were added.

The purpose of this study identifies effect of apparel merchandise characteristics on experienced emotion for apparel shopping and effect of consumer's emotion on attitude toward the internet shop. The data were collected from a sample of 271 internet shopper of university students(male: 82, femaie: 189). They visited the on-line shop for apparel shopping and after searching a casual clothing which they wanted to buy, requested to answer the questionnaire. The covariance structural model and research hypothesis analyzed by using AMOS 4.0 program. The results are as follows: First, the structural model is accepted($X^2$=128.30/d.f.=119/p=0.26, GFI=0.95 ; AGFI=0.93; RMR:0.05: NFI=0.94; PNFI=0.73). Second, apparel merchandise characteristics(price, information, assortment) of the internet shop lead a consumer's positive emotions for apparel shopping. Limited assortment variety of product induce negative emotions. Third, positive and negative emotions that consumer experienced for apparel shopping influence attitude toward the internet shop.

Due to the recent trend of relationship marketing and characteristics of the apparel retail industry that relys heavily on employees' performance, internal marketing toward the employees gives a critical influence on firms' overall performance. This study is aiming at the factors of internal marketing and relationship management that enhance positive attitude toward change. A survey questionnaire was developed and about two hundreds department store sales staffs working for apparel brands participated in the empirical study. Factor analysis ensured the existence of five aspects of internal marketing: educational training, internal communication, power endorsement, management capability and incentive system. Results indicated that age, marital status, years of employment, position rank, and salary types of salespersons had significant influence on internal marketing factors. Incentive system had significant influence on internal customer relationship management. Internal customer relationship management had significant impact on employees' attitude toward change. Educational training had significant influence on employees' perceived importance of change. Educational training, power endorsement and incentive system affected employees' perceived outcome of change.

The purpose of this study is to examine the structural relationship among the pursuit benefits in clothing materials, the attitude toward natural dyeing products, and the purchase intent among consumers interested in natural dyeing products. For this study, 489 men and women in their 20s to 60s were surveyed, and the data was analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 programs. The findings of the analysis were as follows. First, of the pursuit benefits in clothing materials, function and originality factors had a significant and positive impact on the purchase intent of natural dyeing products. Second, of the pursuit benefit of clothing materials, functions, sustainability, and originality significantly and positively impacted the emotional and cognitive attitude toward natural dyeing products. Third, the emotional and cognitive attitude toward natural dyeing products had a significantly positively impacted the purchase intent. Fourth, in the relationship between the pursuit benefits in clothing materials and the purchase intent of natural dyeing products, the emotional and cognitive attitudes toward natural dyeing products were shown to have partial mediating effects.

The purpose of this study identifies how attributes of the website influences on consumer attitude toward the website. For this purpose, the study tested covariance structural model which set relationships among independent variables(interactivity, search and visual information of website), mediated variables(utilitarian shopping value and hedonic shopping value) and dependent variables(attitude toward website). The data were collected from a sample of 271 internet shopper of university students(male: 82, female: 189). They visited the website for apparel shopping and, after searching a casual clothing which they wanted to buy, requested to answer the questionnaire. The covariance structural model and research hypothesis analyzed by using AMOS 4.0 program. The results are as follows: First, the structural model is accepted significantly. Second, interactivity of the website has a positive impact on perceived utilitarian and hedonic shopping values of the website and visual information of the website also influence hedonic shopping value of the website positively. Third, utilitarian and hedonic shopping values have a positive influence on attitude toward the website for apparel shopping.
Successful use of displays in stores arouses consumers' curiosity, and induces them to purchase a product after a visit. Facade is a word meaning an external front wall of a building, and is usually the first point of visual contact for the consumers. The present study is an empirical investigation of external appearance of a clothing store, with a $2{\times}2{\times}2$ factorial design of facade, show window, and wall surface material designed for the purpose of the study. Dependent variables were store image variables and attitude toward store. A total of 320 questionnaires from male and female consumers were used for the analysis. Facade type and material had significant main and interaction effects, while show window type had no meaningful effects overall. A facade of irregular design prompted significantly higher levels of perceived 'elegance', 'uniqueness', and 'attractiveness' of the store. Material itself did not have significant influence but did have significant interaction effect with facade design. The interaction effect was found in store attitude as well. In order to create a positive store attitude, a concrete material facade should have an irregular design. Companies owning fashion brands should carefully select facade type and wall surface material in the visual merchandising strategies of a store.

The purposes of this study were to identify the adolescent’s perception to grandparent’s clothing behavior, the effect of grandparent’s clothing behavior on the attitudes toward their grand parents, and the variables related to the adolescent’s attitudes toward their grandparent affecting grandparent’s clothing behavior. The results of this study may provide the foundations for the continuing family educational material to promote the grandparent-grandchildren relationship. Questionnaires were distributed to middle and high school students in Chonbuk Province through school teachers from June 9th 18th. 1999. and 485 questionnaires were analysed. Frequencies percentages, factor analysis. Cronbach’s a. t-test, F-test. and Duncan’s Multiple Range test were used for data analysis. The results were as follows: 1. The adolescent’s perception level of grandparent’s clothing behavior was higher when grandparents were younger. healthier and wealthier. in separate living status. and in case of younger and more female adolescents. In case of separate living status. the adolescent’s perception level was higher when grandparent and adolescent contacted frequently. 2. The adolescent’s perception level of grandparent’s clothing behavior was favorable when their total attitude toward grandparent was positive, especially in economic, intellectual. personality, and family relation aspects. 3. The effects of the perception of grandparent’s clothing behavior on the adolescent attitude toward their grandparent were higher in case of grandmother. female adolescent. and separate living status, less educated. and in worse health status grandparent.
