Students replied to the questions about the attitudes toward the school uniforms with Hanbok image and the wearing of the uniforms, preferred design, and subjects' characteristics. Using the SPSS program, frequency and percent ratio of data were determined and t-test and $X^{2}$ test were performed. As the results, students' attitude toward the uniforms with Hanbok image showed to be positive, and girl students were more positive than boy students but they didn't want to wear the uniforms. It revealed that students wanted to be expressed Hanbok image in the uniforms partially and to be conceived their image warm, peaceful and smooth. It is concluded that the school uniforms with Hanbok image should be designed to display Korean traditional beauty and Hanbok image partially at the neckline or the end of the sleeve, keeping the shape of the westernstyle uniforms.

  • The purpose of this study were to clarify differences in information processing type in relation to the consumer knowledge and involvement of apparel and to clarify differences in demographic characteristics in relation to the information processing type of consumer. The subjects of this study were female adults who lived in Seoul, Kyunggi or Incheon areas and Quota sampling using age and residential areas was employed. Major statistical methods were Chi square test and discriminant analysis. The results were as follows: 1. Consumer knowledge was found to be significantly related to the classification of information processing type. Low knowledge group tended to process infarmation rationally but high knowledge group utilized both rational and experiential process. 2. Consumer involvement was found to be significantly related to the classification of information processing type. Low involvement group tended to process information passively. High involvement group utilized both rational and experiential process 3. Information processing type was related to consumer's demographic characteristics such as age, education level, marriage, and purchase expense of apparel

  • This study aimed to explore the effects of perceived benefits on consumers' attitudes towards cross-border online shopping websites. We also explore whether and how consumers' COVID-19 anxiety and brand familiarity weaken or strengthen the relationship between these perceived benefits and consumer attitudes. A total 319 items of data were used for the final analysis. The perceived benefits of a website were found to have only an indirect effect on purchase intentions by mediating consumers' attitudes toward the site. Competitive pricing of fashion products directly affected purchase intentions. COVID-19 anxiety was found to have a negative moderating influence on the relationship between perceived enjoyment and consumer attitudes, whereas brand familiarity had a positive moderating effect on both the relationships between perceived usefulness and consumers' attitudes toward the site and between perceived ease of use and their site attitude. This study provides useful insights for international e-tailers in developing marketing strategies that attract international consumers. Academically, we have contributed to the existing literature on the perceived benefits of global online shopping and the moderators of consumers' attitudes towards e-commerce sites.

  • This study investigated how learning motivation affects satisfaction with training and employment services and its performance for participants in government-supported job skill development program of the clothing industry so as to provide fundamental data for developing a training program that fosters professionals and relieves the labor shortage in the clothing industry. 180 copies of questionnaires were statistically analyzed by SPSSWIN 21.0. Most trainees were low-income citizens in their 40s and 50s. They were divided into highly educated or low-educated. The results of the research are as follows: when the trainees were motivated by the goals of getting a certificate or a job, employment service satisfaction levels were influenced meaningfully. Secondly, educational satisfaction levels and occupational ability development also scored highly. Therefore, it is important to strengthen instructors' competency. Instructors must be required to have onsite experience so that they can provide authentic education that can be applied to the work field. The government should establish a compulsory training session for the trainers along with an incentive program so that they can catch up with up-to-date technology and trend. Third, the research shows that supporting business startup and job placement is important. Follow-up management systems should be provided in cooperation with relevant institutions of employment and business startups. Either outsourcing or placement of professional advisors is also needed.

Based upon on-line and off-line survey to university professors in both countries, this study analyzes their responses including subjective opinions concerning educational conditions, methods and performance. The responses are analyzed by ANOVA and Chi-Square Test in a statistical software package, SPSS. As a result, it shows that the education in Korea is substantially different from that in U.S.A.. In educational condition, in particular, more significant difference between two countries exists in terms of professors than in terms of educational environment. Also educational performance differs between them more in enhancing practical ability of students than in promoting motivation of students.

  • Nonwoven fabrics have been widely used in various fields that include household, industrial, agricultural, medical goods, especially in the automobile industry. In this study, eco-friendly fiber materials were developed and investigated as a substitute material for polyester fibers in nonwovens. To make plant fiber bundles, stems of Indian mallow (IM), and Kuzu vine (KV) were retted; in addition, the non-cellulose component was partially removed. Plant fiber bundles and polyester fibers (P) were blended and needle punched to produce nonwovens. Five kinds of nonwovens were manufactured: P100 (Polyester 100%), IM10 (IM 10% and Polyester 90%), IM20 (IM 20% and Polyester 80%), KV10 (KV 10% and Polyester 90%), and KV20 (KV 20% and Polyester 80%). The color values, surface appearance, tensile strength, elongation, tear strength, abrasion strength, flexstiffness, moisture regain, water or oil absorbency, and static electricity of manufactured nonwovens are investigated. As the blended ratios of IM or KV increased, the brightness of nonwovens decreased compared to that of polyester 100%. Tensile strength, tear strength, abrasion strength, and flexstiffness of IM10 as well as KV10 were higher than those of P100, IM20, and KV20, resulting from the influence of the structure and properties of nonwoven fibers. Moisture regain and water or oil absorbency increased, while static electricity decreased in proportion to the amount of plant fibers. IM or KV and polyester blended nonwovens showed improved properties over P100 that could be substituted for P100 as a novel material for textiles.
