In this paper, horn loudspeaker modeling was suggested, investigated and verified through comparison of test results and simulation ones based on input electrical impedance curves and acoustic sensitivity ones. First, Thiele Small parameters of horn driver were identified by using pseudo loudspeaker model concept and verified in case of both closed and open horndriver. Second, cone-shaped horn models were investigated and compared with input acoustic impedance curves for real horn(cone angle $6.6^{\circ}$) and short horn(cone angle $27.9^{\circ}$). It showed that Leach model for cone horn was well described to test results, which were electrical impedance and acoustic sensitivity, compared to Lemaitre one. To represent horn system model good approximation in wide frequency range, mass correction filter and lowpass filter were adopted and consequently showed good fitted to test results.

This paper describes computational efforts on the various energy and environmental problems using Patankar's SIMPLE method. The specific problems included in this study are : pollutant and flammable material dispersions in open and confined areas, aerator-induced flow in a lake for DO(dissolved oxygen) concentration, primary clarifier for water and waste water treatment, hood ventilation in workplace, cyclone and LNG combustors and Dow chlorination reactor. A control-volume based finite-difference method is employed together with the power-law scheme. The pressure-velocity coupling is resolved by the use of the revised version of SIMPLE, says SIMPLER and SIMPLEC. The Reynolds stresses are closed using the standard or the RNG $k-{\varepsilon}$ models. Turbulent reaction is modeled using two fast chemistry methods such as eddy breakup and conserved scalar models. Further, a nonequilibrium model is developed for the application of the chlorination process in the Dow reactor. Other important empirical models and physical insights appeared in this study are presented and discussed in a brief note. The computational method developed in this study is considered, in general, as a viable tool for the design and determination of the optimal condition of various engineering system of interest.

This paper describes several computational results on the various energy and environmental problems using Patankar's SIMPLE method. The specific problems included in this study are : pollutant and flammable material dispersions in open and confined areas, buoyancy-driven flow in a lake, primary clarifier for water and waste water treatment, hood ventilation in workplace. cyclone combustor and Dow chlorination reactor. A control-volume based finite-difference method is employed together with the power-law scheme. The pressure-velocity coupling is resolved by the use of the revised version of SIMPLE, says SIMPLER and SIMPLEC. The Reynolds stresses are closed using the standard or RNG κ-ε models. A nonequilibrium turbulent reaction model is developed for the application of the chlorination process in the Dow thermal reactor. Other important empirical models and physical insights appeared in this study are presented and discussed in a brief note. The computational method developed in this study is considered, in general, as a viable tool for the design and determination of the optimal operating condition of various environmental engineering system of interest.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to provide a scientific basis for shelf life and re-establish the shelf life in a hospital environment by investigating the validity periods of various packaging materials. Methods: We selected six departments to store sterilized items, prepared 482 sterilized items, and stored them for 12 months. Each sample was tested using a microbiological culture in the laboratory every two weeks. When the result was positive, the sample was considered contaminated. The temperature and relative humidity were measured using an automatic control system to investigate the storage environment during the study period. Results: Except for two samples, which were positive in the 22nd and 28th weeks, 480 samples were negative. The temperature and relative humidity of the sample storage area were measured every week. The annual average temperature was 23.6±1.6℃, and the mean relative humidity was 35.1±15.2%. The cabinets used in this study were the two-open and four-closed types. Conclusion: This study confirmed the validity of the expiration date in a hospital environment. Based on the results, the nonwoven fabric remained sterile for more than nine months. No case of contamination of the paper-plastic pouch packaging was observed, owing to the microbial culture for two months.
In this article, the static responses of layered magneto-electro-thermo-elastic (METE) plates in thermal environment have been investigated through FE methods. By using Reddy's third order shear deformation theory (TSDT) in association with the Hamilton's principle, the direct and derived quantities of the coupled system have been obtained. The coupled governing equations of METE plates have been derived through condensation technique. Three layered METE plates composed of piezoelectric and piezomagnetic phases are considered for evaluation. For investigating the correctness and accuracy, the results in this article are validated with previous researches. In addition, a special attention has been paid to evaluate the influence of different electro-magnetic boundary conditions and pyrocoupling on the coupled response of METE plates. Finally, the influence of stacking sequences, magnitude of temperature load and aspect ratio on the coupled static response of METE plates are investigated in detail.
Malware propagated via the World Wide Web is one of the most dangerous tools in the realm of cyber-attacks. Its methodologies are effective, relatively easy to use, and are developing constantly in an unexpected manner. As a result, rapidly detecting malware propagation websites from a myriad of webpages is a difficult task. In this paper, we present LoGos, an automated high-interaction dynamic analyzer optimized for a browser-based Windows virtual machine environment. LoGos utilizes Internet Explorer injection and API hooks, and scrutinizes malicious behaviors such as new network connections, unused open ports, registry modifications, and file creation. Based on the obtained results, LoGos can determine the maliciousness level. This model forms a very lightweight system. Thus, it is approximately 10 to 18 times faster than systems proposed in previous work. In addition, it provides high detection rates that are equal to those of state-of-the-art tools. LoGos is a closed tool that can detect an extensive array of malicious webpages. We prove the efficiency and effectiveness of the tool by analyzing almost 0.36 M domains and 3.2 M webpages on a daily basis.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between nursing work environment and nursing outcome of clinical nurses. Also, the purpose of this study was to identify the nurses' workload. Method: The participants in this study were 246 nurses working at one hospital in a province. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire from October 2011 to November 2011. Open questions were subject to content analysis; closed questions were subject to descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation coefficient with SPSS 18.0 program were used. Result: The number of patients per nurse in day-duty and overtime work had a positive correlation. Nursing performance and the overtime work in night duty nurses had a negative correlation. The results of this study, with a much higher number of patients per nurse, showed an increase in overtime hours. In the nursing delivery system experience of nurses, 13 themes were identified and they were divided into five categories. Conclusion: Therefore, in order to improve nursing performance and increase job satisfaction, efforts must be made to reduce overtime, and nursing personnel placement to secure a substantial nursing staff.
We have investigated a coronal jet near the limb on 2010 June 27 by Hinode/X-Ray Telescope (XRT), EUV Imaging Spectrograph (EIS), SDO/Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA), and STEREO. From EUV (AIA and EIS) and soft X-ray (XRT) images we identify the erupting jet feature in cool and hot temperatures. Using the high temporal and multi wavelength AIA images, we found that the hot jet preceded its associated cool jet and their structures are well consistent with the numerical simulation of the emerging flux-reconnection model. From the spectroscopic analysis, we found that the jet structure changes from blue shift to red one with time, which may indicate the helical structure of the jet. The STEREO observation, which enables us to observe this jet on the disk, shows that there was a dim loop associated with the jet. On the other hand, we found that the structure of its associated active region seen in STEREO is similar to that in AIA observed 5 days before. Based on this fact, we compared the jet morphology on the limb with the magnectic fields extrapolated from a HMI vector magnetogram of this active region observed on the disk. Interestingly, the comparison shows that the open and closed magnetic field configuration correspond to the jet and the dim loop, respectively, as the Shibata's jet model predicted.
Functional materials are often exposed to high temperatures and inherent temperature gradients. These temperature gradients act as thermodynamic driving forces for the diffusion of mobile components. The detailed consequences of thermodiffusion depend on the boundary conditions of the non-isothermal sample: Once the boundaries of the sample are inert and closed for exchange of the mobile components, thermodiffusion leads to their pile-up in the stationary state (the so called Soret effect). Once the system is open for an exchange of the mobile component, chemical diffusion adds to the Soret effect, and stationary non-zero component fluxes are additionally observed in the stationary state. In this review, the essential aspects of thermodiffusion and Soret effect in inorganic functional materials are briefly summarized and our current practical knowledge is reviewed. Major examples include nonstoichiometric binary compounds (oxides and other chalcogenides) and ternary solid solutions. The potential influence of the Soret effect on the long term stability of high temperature thermoelectrics is briefly discussed. Typical Soret coefficients for nonstoichiometric compounds are found to be of the order of (d${\delta}$/dT) ${\approx}$ 1%/K.

An exhaust muffler is one of the simple and effective means to meet the demand for a quiet vehicle, and it deserves a close attention to effectively reduce the engine noise. The transfer function technique is one of the tools that have been used to analyze the noise characteristics of the exhaust muffler. In this paper we obtained a transfer function using the forward-going and backward-going components of sound pressure in the exhaust muffler, which is compatible wiht lattice filter algorithm. This form of transfer function is obtained for the basic elements of a muffler, such as uniform tube, open termin- ation, closed termination, anechoic termination, expansion, contraction, extended-tube resonator, hole, Helmholtz resonator, and concentric hole-cavity resonator. The results are combined to produce the transfer function of various types of mufflers. With this transfer function we calculate the transmission and insertion losses of mufflers, and examined the effects of various design parameters. Comparisons were made between the calculation and experimental results, which showed a good agreement, and we conclude that the transfer function of lattice form can be used to analyze the noise characteristics of the exhaust mufflers.
