  • From the methanolic extract of aerial parts of Clematis koreana var. umbrosa, one new triterpenoidal saponin, 3-O-${\beta}$-D-xylopyranosyl(1-3)-${\alpha}$-L-arabinopyranosyl oleanolic acid 28-O-${\alpha}$-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1-4)-${\beta}$-glucopyranosyl(1-6)-${\beta}$-glucopyranosyl ESTER, along with five known aromatic compounds and two known triterpenoidal saponins were isolated.

속리산국립공원 특별보호구인 망개나무 자생지에 분포하는 관속식물상 (Vascular Plants Distributed in the Berchemia berchemiaefolia of Special Protection Zones of Songnisan National Park)

  • This study investigated in the vascular plants of special protection zones (the native land of Berchemia berchemiaefolia in Sadam-ri and Gallon valley) of Songnisan National Park and identified the whole vascular plants. The numbers of vascular plants were summarized as 273 taxa including 82 families, 182 genera, 236 species, 3 subspecies, 28 varieties and 6 forms. Woody plants were identified as 124 taxa (45.4%) and herbaceous plants as 149 taxa (54.6%). A total of 107 taxa were identified in the area of Sadam-ri, and 246 taxa were found in the Gallon valley. A total of 8 taxa of rare plants were identified, each of which was divided into 1 taxa of endangered (EN; Daphne pseudomezereum var. koreana), 3 taxa of vulnerable (VU; Paeonia japonica, Berchemia berchemiaefolia and Iris minutiaurea), 3 taxa of least concern (LC; Aristolochia contorta, Syringa patula var. kamibayshii and Goodyera schlechtendaliana) and 1 taxa of data deficient (DD; Alangium platanifolium). The Korean endemic plants were 9 taxa (Clematis trichotoma, Thalictrum actaefolium var. brevistylum, Aster koraiensis, Cirsium setidens, etc.). In the specific plants by floristic region were 34 taxa, a degree I were 17 taxa (Chloranthus japonicus, Celastrus stephanotifolius, etc.), 9 taxa of a degree II (Euonymus pauciflorus, Acer triflorum, etc.), 4 taxa of a degree III (Aconitum longecassidatum, Angelica gigas, etc.), 2 taxa of a degree IV (Ulmus macrocarpa and Daphne pseudomezereum var. koreana), 2 taxa of a degree V (Berchemia berchemiaefolia and Alangium platanifolium). The naturalized plants were 5 taxa including Fallopia dumetorum, Trifolium repens, Ailanthus altissima, Oenothera biennis, Erigeron annuus. Naturalization rate (NR) was 1.8% of all 273 taxa of vascular plants and the invasive alien plants were not found. The purpose of this study is to identify the flora that grows in the special protection zones of Songnisan National Park and provide the basic data for the management of the special protection zone in the future.

생태경관보전지역 지정을 위한 일월산(경북 영양)의 관속식물상과 유형별 특성 (Vascular Plants and Characteristics by Type in Mt. Ilwolsan(Yeongyang, Gyeongbuk) for Designating an Ecological and Landscape Conservation Area)

  • The purpose of this study is to offer the raw data for management and conservation of Korean ecosystem by surveying the present conditions and characteristics of flora to select the ecological and landscape conservation area, Ilwolsan(Mt.), Korea. The numbers of flora in Mt. Ilwol were summarized as 582 taxa including 94 families, 307 genera, 508 species, 4 subspecies, 61 varieties and 9 formas. The rare plants were 15 taxa including Clematis koreana, Aristolochia contorta, Daphne pseudomezereum var. koreana, Iris odaesanensis and so forth. The Korean endemic plants were 14 taxa including Pseudostellaria coreana, Philadelphus schrenckii, Galium koreanum, Weigela subsessilis and so forth. The specific plants by floristic region were 29 taxa including Cimicifuga heracleifolia, Parasenecio firmus, Sorbaria sorbifolia var. stellipila, Acer mandshuricum, Syringa reticulata var. mandshurica and so forth. The naturalized plants were 22 taxa including Fallopia dumetorum, Rumex nipponicus, Trifolium repens, Sonchus asper, Phleum pratense and so forth. A set of important area is rare plant, Korean endemic plant, specific plant emerge a lot of areas.

백두대간 덕유산 지역의 식물상 (Vascular Plants of Mt. Deog-yu Area in the Baekdudaegan)

  • 백두대간 덕유산지역 일대에 분포하는 식물상을 조사한 결과 91과 243속 353종 53변종 5품종 총 411종류가 확인되었다. 개비자나무, 생강나무, 대팻집나무 및 노각나무 등이 나타나 남부아구로 볼 수 있으나 거제수나무, 사스래나무, 처녀치마 및 금강애기나리 등 중부아구 식물도 확인되었으며, 해발 1,000m 이상인 곳에는 고산식물이 많이 분포하였다. 산림청이 지정한 희귀 및 멸종위기종은 솔나리와 산작약, 그리고 구상나무, 금강애기나리, 말나리, 뻐꾹나리, 누른종덩굴, 등대시호, 흰참꽃 및 꽃창포 등으로 총 10종이 확인되었다. 환경부지정 보호 야생 동ㆍ식물에 포함되어 있는 종은 솔나리 1종이 확인되었다. 한국특산식물종은 개비자나무, 구상나무, 일월비비추, 죽대, 뻐꾹나리 등 12과 21속 20종 1품종 1변종으로 총 22종류가 확인되었다.

북경남 변전소 사업부지의 관속식물 현황과 분포 (Distribution and Status of Vascular Plants a Site of Project in the Bukkvungnam Substation)

  • In recent years, the view centered conservation for eco-system is getting important rather than development from human oriented perspective. As a result, the concept "Sustainable development", that is seeking harmony between conservation and development, appeared so that we researched distribution and status of vascular plants a site of project in the Bukkyungnam substation. The main findings from the study is as follows. The vascular plants a site of project in the Bukkyungnam substation area was listed 435 taxa; 93 families, 269 genera, 377 species, 1 subspecies, 51 varieties and 6 forms. Specific plant species by floral region were total 25 taxa; Acer palmatum (Planted species), Asperula lasiantha in Class III, Caryopteris incana, Cirsium schantarense in Class II, 21 taxa (Dryopteris erythrosora, Chloranthus japonicus, Salix glandulosa, Alnus hirsuta, Quercus variabilis, Ulmus parvifolia, Clematis patens, Rubus hirsutus, Euphorbia pekinensis, Cayratia japonica, Grewia biloba var. parviflora, Vaccinium oldhami, Microstegium japonicum, Hosta capitata, Polygonatum falcatum, etc.) in Class I. Based on the list of Korean endemic plants, 10 taxa were recorded; Cephalotaxus koreana, Populus tomentiglandulosa (Planted species), Indigofera koreana, Forsythia koreana (Planted species), Paulownia coreana (Planted species), Asperula lasiantha, Weigela subsessilis, Adenophora triphylla var. hirsuta, Carex okamotoi, Lilium amabile and based on the list of the rare plants by the Forest ResearchInstitute, 2 taxa were recorded in the studied areas; Lilium callosum (Preservation priority order; No. 191), Aristolochia contorta (No. 151). The naturalized plants in this site were 13 families, 22 genera, 28 taxa and naturalization rate was 6.4% of all 435 taxa vascular plants.

방장산일대의 관속식물 분포 특성 (Vascular Plants of Distribution and Characteristics of the Mt. Bangjang)

  • The vascular plants of the studied area in the Mt. Bangjang was listed 422 taxa : 106 families, 299 genera, 372 species, 1 subspecies, 46 varieties and 3 forms. Based on the list of the rare plants by the Forest Research Institute, 5 taxa were recorded in the studied areas; Lilium distichum(Preservation priority order : No. 159), Tricyrtis dilatata (No. 97), Aristolochia contorta (No. 151), Prunus yedoensis (No. 110), Patrinia saniculaefolia (No. 122) and based on the list of Korean endemic plants, 9 taxa were recorded; Cephalotaxus koreana, Carex okamotoi, Populus tomentiglandulosa, Salix purpurea var. japonica, Prunus yedoensis, Forsythia koreana, Paulownia coreana, Weigela subsessilis, Patrinia saniculaefolia. Specific plant species by floral region were total 29 taxa; Prunus yedoensis in class V, 3 taxa(Acer palmatum, Asperula lasiantha, Lonicera subhispida ) in class III, 5 taxa(Lilium distichum, Potentilla dickinsii, Caryopteris incana, Patrinia saniculaefolia, Ligularia fischeri) in class II, 20 taxa(Ulmus parvifolia, Clematis patens, Aconitum jaluense, Ilex macropoda, Grewia biloba var. parviflora etc.) in class I. The naturalized plants in this site were 13 families, 31 genera, 36 species, 2 varieties, 38 taxa and naturalization rate was 9.0% of all 422 taxa vascular plants. Because of recent rapid increase of cars and people around here, analysis shows many naturalized plants and high naturalized ratio. And wild plants disturbing ecosystem like Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. elatior have been increasing. So, it needs continuing control and conservation measures on the plant ecosystem.

조계산(曹溪山) 삼림식생(森林植生)의 생태학적(生態學的) 연구(硏究) (Ecological Studies on the Forest Vegetation in the Mt. Joghe)

  • 1980년(年) 7월(月)부터 1989년(年) 8월(月)까지 조계산(曹溪山) 삼림식생(森林植生)을 조사(調査)하고 식생구조(植生構造)를 분석(分析)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. 조사(調査)된 관속식물(管束植物)은 750종류(種類)로 49목(目), 122과(科), 434속(屬), 627종(種), 1아종(亞種), 111변종(變種), 11품종(品種)으로 조사(調査)되었으며, Abies, Erythrortium, Spiranthus, Paeonia, Dictammus, Bupleurum 6속(屬)과 단풍마(Dioscorea quinguelobia), 타래난초(Spiranthes sinensis), 금난초(Cephalanthera falcata), 참당귀(Angelica gigus), 큰꽃으아리(Clematis patens), 산작약(Paeonia japonica), 부용(Hibiscus mutabilis), 단풍취(Ainsliama aceritolin), 백선(Dictamnus dasycarpus), 민백미꽃(Cynanchum ascyritolium), 봄구슬봉이(Gentiana thunbergii), 병개암나무(Corylus hallaisanensis), 잣나무(Pinus koraiensis), 바위말발도리(Deutzia prunifolia), 산앵도나무(Vaccinium koreanum), 엘레지(Erythronium japonicum), 땅비싸리(Indigofera kirilowii) (17종), 애기닥나무(Broussonetia kazinoki var. humillis), 줄사철나무(Euonymus fortunei var. radicans), 곱향나무(Juniperus communis var. nipponica), 송금나무(Callicarpa japonica var. taqiletti)(4변종)와 그리고 털생강나무(Lindera abtusiloba for. villosum)(1품종) 등을 추가 하였다. 2. 조계산식물상(曹溪山植物相)의 Raunkiaer의 Life form spectrum은 $CH-D_1-R_5-e$ type으로 분류(分類)되었으며 분포지(分布地)은 Nakai, 이(李), 임(任)의 남부형(南部型)에 일치(一致)하며 난대분자(暖帶分子)도 Lygodium, Cyrtomium, Torreya, Melia, Cayratia Thea, Bamboo등 7속(屬)이 분포(分布)한 것으로 나타냈다. 3. 삼림(森林) 식생(植生)의 Simpson 평균(平均) 종다양도(種多樣度) DS=0.9로 나타났고 Shannon-Wienner의 다양도(多樣度) 지수(指數) H1. 400로 다양(多樣)한 식생(植生) 군락(群落) 구성(構成)을 하고 있음을 알수 있다. 4. Pte Q는 1.81로서 전국평균 1.68보다 높게 나타났으며 귀화 식물에 대한 UI=28.75 외래수종(外來樹種)에 대한 UI=17.49로 백운산(白雲山), 내장산(內藏山)과 유사하였다. 5. 조계산(曹溪山) 삼림식생(森林植生)은 졸참나무, 서어나무, 굴참나무, 소나무, 신갈나무, 굴피나무, 상수리나무의 7개 자연군락(自然群落)과 때죽나무, 노각나무, 비목나무, 느티나무, 붉나무, 층층나무, 물푸레나무, 들메나무 등 8개(個)의 대상군락, 잣나무 편백, 일본잎갈나무, 밤나무, 리기다소나무, 일본목련, 삼나무 등 7개(個)의 인공식재군락(人工植栽群落)이 포함되어 자연식생, 대상식생, 인공식재림 등의 3개(個)의 식생형(植生型)이 분류(分類)되었다. 6. 식물사회학적(植物社會學的) 방법(方法)에 의(依)하여 1/25000 지형도(地形圖)에 현존식생도(現存植生圖)와 계층구조도(階層構造圖)를 작성(作成)하였다. 7. 중요(重要)한 종(種) 또는 특이(特異) 군락(群落)으로는 이(李) 김(金)과 박(朴)이 보고(報告)한 털조장나무(Lindera sericea) 새이삭여뀌(Persicaria tilitorme), 대팻집나무(flex macrophda), 민대팻집나무(I. macropoda for. pseudo-macropoda), 노각나무(Stewartia koreana), 진퍼리잔대(Aden ophora), 히어리(Corylopsis coreana)등은 일치(一致)하였고, 산앵도나무(Vaccinium coreanum), 약난초(Cremastra appendiculinium), 곱향나무(Juniper communis var. nipponica), 금난초(Cephalanthera falcata), 애기닥나무(Broussonetia kazinoki var. humilis), 큰꽃으아리(Clematis patens), 산작약(Paeonia obovata), 바위말발도리(Deatzia prunifolia), 백선(Dictmnus dasyarpus), 참당귀(Angelica gigics), 시호(Bupleurum falcatum)등의 종(種)이 추가(追加)되었다.

경주국립공원 화랑지구의 관속식물상과 관리방안 (Management Plan and Vascular Plants of the Hwarang District in Gyeongju National Park)

  • The purpose of this study is to offer the raw data for management and conservation of national park by systematic and objective surveying and analysing the flora distributed in the Hwarang district, Gyeongju national park. The results are as follows. The vascular plants in this site were summarized as 396 taxa: 95 families, 272 genera, 351 species, 2 subspecies, 38 varieties and 5 forma. The rare plants designated by Korea Forest Service were 5 taxa: Exochorda serratifolia S.Moore, Potentilla discolor Bunge, Prunus yedoensis Matsum, Lysimachia coreana Nakai and Inula salicina var. asiatica Kitam.. The korean endemic plants were 6 taxa: Populus tomentiglandulosa T.B.Lee, Clematis trichotoma Nakai, Lespedeza maritima Nakai, Lysimachia coreana Nakai, Forsythia koreana (Rehder) Nakai and Weigela subsessilis (Nakai) L.H.Bailey. The specific plants by floristic region were 30 taxa: Asplenium sarelii Hk., Salix chaenomeloides Kimura, Lysimachia barystachys Bunge, Achillea alpina L., Celtis aurantiaca Nakai, Vitex negundo var. incisa (Lam.) C.B.Clarke and so forth. The plants with approval for delivering oversea were 6 taxa: Clematis trichotoma Nakai, Exochorda serratifolia S.Moore, Glycine soja Siebold & Zucc., Lespedeza maritima Nakai, Lysimachia coreana Nakai and Weigela subsessilis (Nakai) L.H.Bailey. The naturalized plants were 49 taxa: Bilderdykia dumetora (L.) Holub, Descurainia pinnata Britton, Oxalis corymbosa DC., Bidens frondosa L., Panicum dichotomiflorum Michx. and so forth. The invasive alien plants were 2 taxa: Ambrosia artemisiifolia L. and Aster pilosus Willd. In future, if we will survey the flora of whole Gyeongju national park, we will offer the help to establishing the conservation plan of ecosystem in Gyeongju national park.

Distribution of Resource Plants in Mt. ManRoi(ChungBuk), Korea

  • This study was performed to investigate the resources flora of Mt. ManRoi(611.7m; 37$^{\circ}$51'N, 127$^{\circ}$ 20'E), during April 1995 to September 1998. The vascular plants, which were collected from the mountain were composed of all 382 taxa including cultivated species, and classified into 1 phylum, 4 classes, 34 orders, 87 families, 254 genera, 323 species, 1 subspecies,55 varieties and 4 forms. There were not rare and endangered species, while 7 taxa of Korean endemic plants, that is, Tricyitis dilatata, Clematis trichotoma, Deutzia coreana, Spiraea prunifolia var, simpliciflora, Forsythia koreana, Weigela subsessilis and Patrinia sanicalaefalia were distributed in this mountain. The vegetation of this investigated area is regarded as the boundary of the temperate middle part and temperate southern part in floral zone of the Korean Peninsula.

회문산 일대의 관속식물 분포 특성 (Distribution Characteristics of Vascular Plants in the Mt. Hoemun)

  • The vascular plants in the Mt. Hoemun were listed 541 taxa composed of 113 families, 354 genera, 473 species, 1 subspecies, 64 varieties and 3 forms. Divided into 541 taxa; woody plants were 151 taxa (27.9%) and herbaceous plants were 390 taxa (72.1%). Based on the list of rare plants by the Korea Forest Service, 10 taxa were recorded in the studied areas; Lilium distichum (Preservation priority order: No. 159), Lilium callosum (No. 191), Tricyrtis dilatata (No. 97), Iris ensata var. sponianea (No. 197), Gastrodia elata (No.9), Aristolochia contorta (No. 151), Paeonia obovata (No. 30: Legal protection species), Prunus yedoensis (No. 110 : Planted species), Viola albida (No. 202), Schpolia japonica (No. 208). Based on the list of Korean endemic plants, 15 taxa were recorded; Cephalotaxus koreana, Lilium amabile, Salix purpurea var. japonica, Pseudostellaria multiflora, Aconitum pseudolaeve var. erectum, Filipendula glaberrima, Weigela subsessilis, etc. Based on the list of approved for delivering overseas of plants, 10 taxa were recorded; Carex okamotoi, Lilium distichum, Clematis trichotoma, Vaccinium oldhami, Paulownia coreana, Asperula lasiantha; etc. Specific plant species by floral region were total 4S taxa (8.3% of all 541 taxa of vascular plants); Gastrodia elata, Paeonia obovata in class V, Carex arenicola, Corydalis grandicalyx in class IV, 5 taxa (Spiraea salicifolia, Schpolia japonica, Asperula lasiantha, etc.) in class III, 7 taxa (Lilium distichum, Iris ensata var. spontanea, Caryopteris incana, etc.) in class II and 28 taxa (Camptosorus sibiricus, Orixa japonica, Lonicera praeflorens, etc.) in class I. The naturalized plants in the surveyed sites were 13 families, 38 genera, 43 species, 2 varieties, 45 taxa (Phleum pratense, Medicago sativa, Sonchus asper, etc.) and naturalization rate was 8.3% of all 541 taxa of vascular plants. Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. elatior an ecosystem disturbing wild plants have been increasing. Therefore, the counter plants for continuous control and conservation are needed on the ecosystem of Mt. Hoemun.
