Advances in the wireless Internet have led to the rise of diverse techniques which can access information regardless of time and place. There are many research efforts to identify the various ways to use a cellular phone in our everyday life. However, it has been rarely used in the elementary school. As an attempt to apply the wireless Internet technology to the elementary school, this study is to design and implement a wireless Internet homepage where the parents would be able to have an easy access to the information any place and any time. The characteristics of the wireless Internet homepage are as follows; first, the images were reduced to the minimum and the text-oriented information is mostly used to deliver the key information, considering the small screen and relatively slow transmission rates. Second, by providing a link set up between the wireless homepage and the wired Internet homepage, users can choose the more convenient access tool. Finally, the SMS (Short Message Service) messages could be used for an immediate delivery of information.

To address the requirements of gap analysis for species protection, as well as the needs of state and federal agencies for detailed digital land cover, a 43-class map at the vegetation alliance level was created for the state of Kansas using multi-temporal Thematic Mapper imagery. The mapping approach included the use of three-date multi-seasonal imagery, a two-stage classification approach that first masked out cropland areas using unsupervised classification and then mapped natural vegetation with supervised classification, visualization techniques utilizing a map of small multiples and field experts, and extensive use of ancillary data in post-hoc processing. Accuracy assessment was conducted at three levels of generalization (Anderson Level I, vegetation formation, and vegetation alliance) and three cross-tabulation approaches. Overall accuracy ranged from 51.7% to 89.4%, depending on level of generalization, while accuracy figures for individual alliance classes varied by area covered and level of sampling.

In 1991, the Ministry of Health & Social affairs adopted a nationwide service program for neonatal screening of phenylketonuria, galactosemia, maple syrup urine disease, homocystinuria, histidinemia & congenital hypothyroidism for newborns delivered from low class pregnant women registered in health centers. Government decreased the test items from six to two, PKU & congenital hypothyroidism to increase test numbers with same budget from 1995. Government decided to test PKU & hypothyroidism for all newborns from 1997. 78 laboratories wanted to participate for neonatal screening test in 1999. Government didn't decide laboratory center for a certain district and placed responsibility on free competition. Government are planning to test 573,000 newborns from 1998, Government decided to screen 6 items PKU, congenital hypothyroidism, maple syrup urine disese, homocystinuria, galactosemia and congenital adrenal hyperplasia from 2006. 17 laboratores are participating now. The cost of screening test is supported by both the federal government and local government on a 40-60 basis. In case a patient with an inherited metabolic disease is diagnosed by screening of government program, special milk is provided at government's expense. Interlaboratory quality control was started 6 times a year from 1994. According to the government project, 3,707,773 newborns were screened. 86 PKU, 718 congenital hypothyroidism were detected. So incidence of PKU is 1/43,114 and congenital hypothyroidism is 1/4,612. Maeil dairy company produced new special formula for PKU, MMA and PA, MSUD, urea cycle disorder, homocystinuria, isovaleric acidemia from Oct. 1999. The cost benefit of performing screening procedures coupled with treatment has been estimated to be as high as 1.77 times in PKU, 11.11 times in congenital hypothyroidism than cost without screening. We are trying to increase the budget to test all newborns for Tandem mass sereening & Wilson disease from 2008. Now it is a very important problem to decrease laboratory numbers of neonatal screening in Korea. So we are considering 4-5 central laboratories which cover all newborns and are equipped with tandem mass spectrometer & enzyme immunoassay for TSH, 17OHP & enzyme colorimetric assay for galactose.

This study was performed to explore the institutional treatment system by analyzing the pattern of musical actor's projection and aftereffect subsequent to the completion of performance. In-depth interviews were conducted with 22 top-class musical actors and actresses of the Republic of Korea. The result of the survey indicated that most actors and actresses suffer from projection and it's aftereffect such as depression for more than one month after performance, and that they tend to rely on self-healing based on self-diagnosis rather than seeking for professional counselling. The symptoms of projection were shown more strongly when the actors or actresses were taking on the role of main character, or acting as a negative or realistic character, or when expressing strong and extreme emotions. In this era of Korean culture, the result of this study implies that our country have to establish the actor's mental caring-related new law and private care centers supported enough funds to encourage the actors to receive more effective actor-friendly treatment service before and after the performance.

APON, the subscriber network using bus or tree topology, requires MAC protocol, because it shares the uplink channel for many subscribers to transmit data to OLT. Although various MAC schemes, which consider each QoS characteristics of traffic are proposed considering transmission characteristics of ATM traffic class, existing schemes reduce the network efficiency by increasing transmission overhead in frame. In this paper, we propose new MAC scheme, which shows similar performance as those of existing schemes but does not increase transmission overhead. To prevent increasing transmission overhead, the proposed scheme encodes the information about each cell information of traffic of the local queue in RAU transmitted periodically from ONU to OLT Thus, the proposed MAC scheme shows similar performance as those of existing ones and increases efficiency of entire network.

With the rapid growth of IT technology and development of online shopping, e-commerce activity through online environment is going to grow in various forms. And then the intense competition also more deepen in the companies within the online market. The study on the various contents production and environment configuration for sale strategies has been made. Among online market products, it is needed to develop marketing strategies for online sales related to rings products. In this paper, through the analysis of online content and components of companies, it has obtained the appropriate components in the ring industry. In particular, aiming to young customers, we looked about components suitable for them and built site. As a result based on the above analysis, we anticipate that it will be able to see forward to a competitive ring marketing.

At present, the ground transportation system is saturated in many countries including Korea. To overcome this problem, many researches of developing a roadable personal air vehicle (PAV) are being carried out to alleviate traffic congestion and to accomplish door-to-door mobility through three-dimensional traffic system. In this study, the thrust-to-weight ratio, the wing loading, and the power-to-weight ratio that are major design parameters for the sizing of roadable PAVs were calculated under the constraints of ground roll, climb rate, maximum cruise speed, service ceiling, stall speed. Also, in the sizing process, the study was conducted to determine the design point using the graphs of thrust-to-weight ratio, wing loading, power-to-weight ratio, and brake horse power for the mission profiles considering domestic environments and the FAR PART 23 which is the GA class aircraft certification standard.

This study is aimed at developing the STEAM instruction materials for mathematics subject-based advanced technology and ICT teaching tools. In order to develop the STEAM materials, a PDI model in which the implementation and evaluation steps were simplified to Improvement was used. The developed STEAM materials were revised and supplemented by a group of experts. The subject of the STEAM class material developed in this study is 『Graph! The bridge that connects the past, present and future』 , 『You are the same but different!』 , 『Creating a virtual reality three-dimensional space together』 , 『And making interesting figures』 and 『Cover the roof of the turtle ship!』 . As a suggestion based on the results of this development study, various STEAM education materials should be developed and shared so that STEAM education can be performed in the elementary education field. And for the spread and settlement of STEAM education, the cultivation and expansion of STEAM education capabilities of on-site elementary school teachers or pre-service teachers will be an absolute prerequisite. And this suggests the need for a continuous and long-term approach to follow-up research on STEAM education.

In this paper, we collected the physical traces from high speed Internet backbone traffic and analyze the various characteristics of the underlying packet traces. Particularly, our work is focused on analyzing the characteristics of an anomalous traffic. It is found that in our data, the anomalous traffic is caused by UDP session traffic and we determined that it was one of the Denial of Service attacks. In this work, we adopted the unsupervised machine learning algorithm to classify the network flows. We apply the k-means clustering algorithm to train the learner. Via the Cramer-Yon-Misses test, we confirmed that the proposed classification method which is able to detect anomalous traffic within 1 second can accurately predict the class of a flow and can be effectively used in determining the anomalous flows.

The purpose of the study is to construct a History Ontology Model for historical person to analyse issues of Korean History Thesaurus and interview history specialists who are use information systems in National Institute of Korean History. This study verifies the difference between both descriptions through comparative analysis of term concept in Korean History Thesaurus and mind-map written by history major. Based on this, we build history ontology model to meet users' information needs and adapt to information retrieval system. First, to organize unique features of history, we define class and attribute and then enlisted considerations for instance input. The study suggests a possibility of new service through combination multiple features using concept extension that is a strength of ontology.
