세계도시 이미지 형성과 지식기반경제 육성 전략: 싱가포르의 장소마케팅에 대한 비판적 고찰 (Imaginative Construction of a Global City as a Strategy for the Growth of Knowledge-based Economies: A Critical Evaluation of the Place-marketing in Singapore)

  • 이 논문은 싱가포르 정부가 어떻게 싱가포르의 장소마케팅을 위한 수단으로 "세계도시" 이미지 전략을 사용하는가를 탐구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 1990년대부터 싱가포르는 그 자신을 "창조적이고", "문화적으로 활기차며", "코스모폴리탄"한 세계도시라고 이미지화하기 위한 장소마케팅 전략을 추진해 왔고, 이를 위해 여러 다양한 문화, 관광, 공간 정책수단들을 사용하였다. 이 논문에서 필자는 싱가포르 정부의 이러한 이미지화 전략은 싱가포르 경제를 지식기반 경제로 전환하려는 경제재편 프로그램과 밀접히 관련되며, 이는 장소마케팅을 통해 국제적인 지식 노동자들을 끌어들이는 것이 경쟁력과 혁신을 이끌어내는데 핵심적이라는 믿음에 기인한다. 이와 더불어 이 논문은 이러한 이미지 전략의 한계에 대해서도 논하는데, 특히 싱가포르 사회에서 어떻게 글로발과 로칼 간의 긴장이 증가하고 있는지, 그리고 어떻게 싱가포르의 권위적이고 하향식의 통치체제로 인해 진정한 의미의 "문화적으로 활기한" 환경을 조성하는데 제약이 생기는지 살펴볼 것이다.

The Relationship between Innovation Capability and Firm's Performance in Electronic Companies, Vietnam

  • The study aims to investigate the determinant factors in the organisation of a firm's innovative activities, and the impact of innovation capability on firm's performance of electronic firms in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. How is the performance of electronic companies after delivering an innovation project? How will innovation capability affect firm's performance in electronic companies? This study aims to seek the answer of these questions. We employ a Structural Equation Model and the PLS technique in order to validate the theoretical model proposed in this study. With observation of 374 valid firms, based on Cronbach's Alpha analysis, EFA analysis, CFA analysis and SEM analysis, this study discovers 5 groups of factors including: (i) Institution factors; (ii) Attitude of leadership factors; (iii) Marketing factors; (iv) Technological resources factors; (v) Combination factors, which have direct impact on innovation capability of firms. There are 4 groups of factors that have positive impacts on financial performance of electronic firms, with descending order of importance as follows: (1) Attitude of leadership factors; (2) Quality of human resources factors; (3) Innovation capability; (4) Marketing activities factors. Research results are important implications for Government administrative agencies for business to consult and introduce effective support policies.

  • This study aims to present a direction for the efficient TV commercial marketing strategy at the market by analyzing the relationship between technology and the smart-phones' TV commercial especially 'iPhone series' and 'galaxy S series'. As the results of the factor analysis of the hardwares, slogans and TV commercial for the target smart-phones, TV commercial is the way of the expression for the technology through the meaning of the value. And the meaning of value is defined by reclassifying the expression technique of each scene of TV commercial into nouns and adjectives. Setting a slogan is very important because it is making memorable motto or phrase for the consumer and it decide the image of the product. So the correct configuration of the slogan is a keystone that is important for creating a TV commercial and has a profound impact on product image formation.

The Impact of Buzz Marketing on Customer E-WOM Intention: An Empirical Study in Vietnam

  • Customers' perceptions of information about a company's products or services have altered as a result of the development of ICT and social networks. This gives rise to a fact that buzz marketing, which is a marketing technique employed commonly in today's business and communication, has a significant impact on customers' electronic word of mouth intention (e-WOM). However, very few studies about this issue have been conducted so far, which reveal a gap in understanding buzz marketing from an academic perspective. Based on the results of a cross-sectional survey in Binh Duong city, this study investigates the efficiency and effect of buzz marketing on customers' e-WOM intention through mediating variables of message credibility. Data from 367 time-lagged individual samples were collected and analyzed by the structural equation modeling method (SEM). Results showed that creativity, clarity, and humor variables have a positive relationship with message credibility and then impact the intention to conduct e-WOM of social networks' users. Marketing campaigns employing the buzz technique should be launched with easy-to-understand and entertainable messages. Findings from this study also provide managers with a scientific understanding of buzz marketing and the effectiveness of this technique as well as reveal the potential for future studies to explore further in this area.

An investigation of Generation Z's Intention to use Electronic Wallet in Vietnam

  • Purpose: There has been a growing focus on E-wallet adoption especially in emerging markets as it offers a convenient method for users to conduct cashless transactions. This study examines antecedents influencing the decision of Generation Z to adopt E-wallet. It looks into the effect of determining factors including compatibility, perceived convenience, perceived trust, perceived reputation, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and social influence on users' intention to use. The moderator role of social influence is also under examination. Research design, data and methodology: The quantitative method has been adopted to collect data from 170 Generation Z users. SmartPLS 3.0 was applied to examine the constructed hypotheses. Results: The results indicate an indirect effect between Compatibility, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Trust and Social Influence toward intention to adopt Electronic wallet, or both of those factors are mediated by Perceived Convenience, Perceived Usefulness, and Reputation. Moreover, research finding highlights the role of Perceived Usefulness as Generation Z's intention determinant to use E-Wallet. Conclusions: This study is substantial as it selected the promising customer segment - Generation Z to examine the factors influencing their decision to adopt Electronic wallet. Marketers can navigate which dimensions should be included in marketing campaigns to encourage Generation Z's adoption.

국내 도시브랜드 슬로건의 경향과 개발 (Trend of City-brand Slogans in Korea and Solutions for Their Development)

  • 최근 도시마케팅의 일환으로 많은 지방자치단체에서 도시브랜드 슬로건을 개발하였거나 개발 중에 있다. 도시브랜드 슬로건을 개발함에 있어 효과적이고 보다 체계적인 방법이 될 수 있도록 기초자료를 만들고 해외의 도시브랜드 슬로건 개발 사례와 국내의 도시브랜드 슬로건 개발 사례를 비교 분석하여 하였다. 국내 도시브랜드 슬로건의 특징으로는 거의 대부분이 도시명을 포함한 단항의 구조로 캠페인형이었다. 소재로는 대부분 추상적 가치를 소재로 사용하였다. 성공적인 도시브랜드 슬로건의 개발 기본 요건으로는 차별성 부각을 들 수 있다. 지역 특유의 자연환경, 문화, 역사 등이 담긴 슬로건만이 독창적이고 차별성이 강한 도시브랜드 슬로건이 될 수 있다. 단기적 유행성에 치우치지 않고 중장기 전략과 비젼, 명확한 설정이 있어야 한다. 또한 개발 후에도 지역주민 모두가 공감할 수 있는 커뮤니케이션이 이루어질 때 도시브랜드 슬로건은 확산이 되고 브랜드로서의 가치를 생성할 것이다.

Positioning customer-based convenience store image: a multidimensional scaling approach via perceptual map

  • Purpose: The research is to find out the perception of consumers for the convenience store (c - store) image in an emerging market, with a sample from Ho Chi Minh City. Research design, data, and methodology: Data were collected using a 24 - item structured questionnaire into six factors, namely: store atmospheric, merchandise, supplementary service, customer convenience, sales personnel, promotion. Five hundred consumers shopped at the different c - stores were collected for a multidimensional scaling technique that creates a perceptual map illustrating of c - store image. Results: The results point out that consumers' perception of a different c - store is different. The trend of c- stores are focusing on the dimensions of the function aspect. The customers also put their attention on the psychological dimension, which, in this case, is customer convenience with a sharp point. Almost all stores are bad on store atmospheric in customer- based. Conclusions: The modern retail store chains need to focus on elements to create a store image positioning and improve the perceptions of the consumers towards the store. Besides, customers not only visit the stores, not due to its convenient location, mass media or shopping experience, but also a strong identity for the store's brand image.

  • The credit card system has been introduced as a new sales method in the marketing field in Daegu city since 1978. In order to increase its efficiency of distribution channel. we should like to find the better ways in the credit card system. For this study, we choice randomly 420 persons credit card holders of a department store in Daegu city. Since the credit card holders purchase products and obtain the utility and satisfactions. salesmen should establish the improvement strategis to meet needs and desires of credit card holders. we conclude that the establishment of the management systems should be based on the management concepts of modern marketing for consumer profit. Than the advantages of credit card sale should not only be recognized but also to translated into material gains by its successful utilization. When credit card sale would come to this, I believe that credit card sale will be helpful for business men activity and consumer's life.

Predicting RFID Adoption Towards Urban Smart Mobility in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

  • Smart city technologies such as transportation and parking systems make our daily lives more efficient and intelligent. However, it is impossible to implement a smart mobility system without analyzing the individual's behavior toward the new technology. This research study attempts to develop a framework for predicting smart mobility antecedents using SEM in primary data analysis. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was the conceptual foundation for this study. To achieve the objectives of the study, one thousand five hundred and twelve effective questionnaires were collected and analyzed using Smart PLS 3.3. The results show that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived risk significantly affect attitudes towards adopting smart mobility systems. Our study provides a comprehensive framework to understand individual-level smart city technology adoption. This study offers implications for policymakers to update existing policies concerning road technology.

  • Korea Furniture design development process is repeated a number of changes by the change of residence and type of market demand derived from the process of industrialization. The modernization process of industrialization advances by large-scale population moves to the city to urbanization proceeds rapidly. Housing problems are concentrated in cities and sparked the furniture industry, furniture design by changes in marketing concepts that appear in the industrialization phase, growth must necessarily accommodate the needs of consumers. Including kitchen furniture, living room furniture and master bedroom furniture has been sensitively adapted changes in the structure of these houses, particularly structural changes Apartments. Starting in the 1990s, jumping over furniture industry has adapted quickly to the market demand, changes in marketing concepts. Furniture industry is growing market share in most of the country, but the entire industry had to undergo a competitive marketing overheating due to excessive supply in excess of market demand since the mid-1990s. Changes in furniture design in this process was the change in furniture design more than the change of the residential structure. The study industrial development and marketing concepts are changing to construct a model to track the changes varied styles and time changes affect whether the main furniture design.
