Intelligent Trace Algorithm of Mobile Robot Using Fuzzy Logic

  • In this paper, we propose the intelligent inference trace algorithm of the mobile robot using fuzzy logic. With the proposed algorithm, the mobile robot can trace human at regular intervals. The mobile robot can recognize the distances between it and human with both multi-ultrasonic sensors and PC-camera and then, can inference the direction and velocity of itself to keep the given regular distances. In the first, the mobile robot acquires the information about circumstances using ultrasonic sensor and PC-camera then secondly, recognize the status of circumstances using the fuzzy logic. We also evaluate the experimental navigation test at several times to verify the ability of the fuzzy logic controller.

저격전의 역사와 미래전망 (The History of Sniping Combat Scenes and Future Prospects)

  • The purpose of this study is to survey the circumstances of sniping warfare and to prove the importance of usage of snipers. The research method was referred to the history of foreign warfares and autobiographies, articles, and testimonies of snipers. Also, various news reports were also studied to collect information. The content of this study investigates the circumstances of sniping combat scenes from its first appearance in the world's major warfares to contemporary ones. Also, the research contains the history of weapons, ammunition, rifles, and the principle of rifle shooting including ballistics. We hope this study provides ROK Army and government agencies the foundation of sniping and thereby improving the effectiveness of correspondence to international conflicts and terrorism.

  • In this paper, we propose a dynamic emotion system involving the state equation and the output equation from the control theory. In our emotion system, the state equation accepts external stimulus and generates emotions. And the output equation modifies the intensity of emotions in accordance with personalities and circumstances. The validity of the proposed emotion system is shown by two simulation works which express emotions according to personalities and circumstances.

중환자실 간호사의 직무 스트레스와 대처에 관한 연구 (A Study on Job Stress and the Coping of ICU Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study investigated job stress and coping of ICU Nurses. Method: Data was accumulated from 206 ICU nurses serving at least more than one year in 500 bed order hospitals during the period of three months from June1, to August 30, 2006. Results: The average job stress was $2.96{\pm}.95$ points, which was relatively high. The average coping was $2.55{\pm}.23$ points. Conclusion: The extent of the job stress of ICU nurses was relatively high, and they received the heaviest stress from job circumstances. For the prevention of job stress, every effort is required to analyze the causes of stress caused by job circumstances and to pose an appropriate solution. Meanwhile, job stress, needs to be controlled using a solution for the central problem, and search for social support.

  • Cluster system provides attractive scalability in terms of computation power and memory size. With the advances in high speed computer network technology, cluster systems are becoming increasingly competitive compared to expensive parallel machines. In parallel processing program, each task load is difficult to predict before running the program and each task is interdependent each other in many ways. Load imbalancing induces an obstacle to system performance. Most of researches in load balancing were concerned with distributed system but researches in cluster system are few. In cluster system, the dynamic load balancing algorithm which evaluates each processor's load in runtime is purpose that the load of each node are evenly distributed. But, if communication cost or node complexity becomes high, it is not effective method for all nodes to attend load balancing process. In that circumstances, it is good to reduce the number of node which attend to load balancing process. We have modeled cluster systems and proposed marginal dynamic load balancing algorithms suitable for that circumstances.

위치등록 방법의 성능분석 : 영역기준 위치등록과 거리기준 위치등록 (Performance Analysis of location Registration Methods : Zone-based Registration and Distance-based Registration)

  • In this paper, we evaluate the performance of zone-based registration and distance-based registration. First, we propose the mobility model which can be used to analyze the performance of both zone-based registration and distance-based registration. And using the proposed mobility model, we obtain several performance measures and perform numerical computation to compare the performance of two registration methods. Numerical results show that in general zone-based registration needs less number of registration than distance-based registration. On the other hand, if distance-based registration is used, registration load is equally distributed to all cells in a location area and ping-pong phenomenon is not occurred. And when a VLR area is composed of a few location areas, distance-based registration may need less registration load than zone-based registration. Therefore, a proper registration method should be selected considering system circumstances and implementation complexity, and the selected method should be implemented so as to change system parameters according to system circumstances.

  • It is a great number of problem for the man to perform maintenance and repairing work owing to radioactive effusion for a nuclear fuel and the pollution of an related equipment in nuclear power plants.   • The best method of measuring wood diameter is a contact-type device: however, obtaining an accurate result can be problematic under certain circumstances. In this study, we used a laser beam and a CCD camera that did not require contact with wood. The wood is illuminated by the laser beam, and the CCD camera captures this illumination. The measurement results were determined by processing of the captured image sequences. This paper explains the use of image processing and laser systems for measurement of wood under circumstances in which physical contact is impossible.

제주지역 여성사회교육에 관한 연구 (A Study on Cheju Women's Social Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate Cheju Women\`s Social Education to improve social education. The data were collected by means of Questionnaire distributed to a stratified sample of 1,447 women in Cheju. Frequency, percentile, mean, x$^2$, t-test, one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the data. The study resulted in five major findings. The majority of respondents had a experience of social education. The motive of participation was to adapt oneself to new social circumstances. The respondents satisfied with social education. But, the discontented person pointed out level of lecturer. The respondents required foci educational institutions to teach social education for licences. They preferred teaching practice to theory. This study will be a primary material for development of programs which are aimed at enhancing women's abilities and roles in accordance with the changes in social structure and the circumstances of the times.

고등학생의 자살사고 예측모형 : 데이터마이닝을 적용한 위험요인과 보호요인의 탐색 (A Forecast Model on High School Students' Suicidal Ideation: The Investigation Risk Factors and Protective Factors Using Data Mining)

  • This study examined risk factors and protective factors in high school students’ suicidal ideation. Participants were 2000 adolescents from the KEEP(Korean Education and Employment Panel). Data mining decision tree model revealed that: (1) Irrespective of sex, the most important predictor was father-adolescent relationship. (2) Positive mother-adolescent relationship was predicted as protective factor in condition of negative father-adolescent relationship. (3) Family activities was predicted as risk factor in condition of negative mother-adolescent relationship under the circumstances with negative father-adolescent relationship. (4) Low self-evaluation was predicted as risk factor in condition of serious agony about personality under the circumstances with positive father-adolescent relationship.
