Recent applications of neural networks to power system fault diagnosis have provided positive results and have shown advantages in process speed over conventional approaches. This paper describes the application of neural network to fault detection and classification in distribution lines using the fundamental component, 2-5th harmonics index, even and odd harmonics index, and zero phase current. The Electromagnetic Transients Program (EMTP) is used to obtain fault patterns for the training and testing of neural networks. The proposed fault detection and classification method in distribution lines is obtained by analysing the difference among normal, HIF, ground fault, short circuit fault condition.
As fiber reinforced composite materials are widely used in aircraft, space structures and robot arms, the study on the non-destructive testing methods of the composite materials has become an important research area for improving their reliability and safety. In this paper, the AE signal analyzer with the resonance circuit to extract the specified frequency of the acoustic emission signal were designed and fabricated. The noise levels of the fabricated AE signal analyzer by the disturbance such as impact or mechanical vibration had a very small value comparable to those of the conventional AE signal analyzer. Also, the crack detection capabilities of the fabricated AE signal analyzer under the static and dynamic tensile test were evaluated and compared with the conventional AE signal analyzer.
A pin-type load-cell which uses shear-type strain gauges was developed to measure the tension of a wire in a winch. A finite element analysis was performed to determine the locations of the strain gauges. All of the shear-type strain gauges were attached onto parts that undergo regularly shear stress distributions. A Wheatstone bridge circuit was used to connect each of the gauges and to measure the strains. Linearity within the 5% error range was noted when testing the pin-type load-cell.
The linearized models on per for mance dynamics of the pulse motor have been already proposed by many others. These models exhibit certain advantages of their own because of their simple formulation, but in many cases the models are proved to be inadequate for further accurate analysis of the motor dynamics, owing to impractical and rather rough assumptions in the derivation. In this study a dynamic state transition model is induced, using the equivalent circuit obtained from the operating principle of the variable reluctance pulse motor which turns out to be nonlinear equation. This nonlinear dynamic state equation is numerically analysed by the use of UNIVAC System/3(OS/3) digital computer at hand. In the course of the dynamic analysis of the performance characteristics of a testing motor, dependance of the inertia of rotor and load, the coefficient of viscous friction between rotor and housing, and the winding resistance of the stator is discussed and a comparative study of the machine constants is carried on as related to the design problem of the motor.
In order to development of diagnosis system for mold transformer, partial discharge measurement technique is recommended the best effective method for the evaluation of insulation condition. However, this technique was not applied to mold transformer yet. The purpose of this paper is to describe the method of partial discharge measurement for mold transformer. As we reviewed on-line test technique, sensor, transducer of pulse signal processing, set-up of test circuit for loading back device and now testing.
This paper introduces the drive system for 500MVA short-circuit generator. Drive system is usually low-voltage, but this system is 2300V high-voltage using Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor(IGBT). Drive system consists of switchgear, 18-pulse transformer, converter(source bridge), inverter(load bridge) and control rack. In this paper, It describes the function and construction of each part.
Tilting train has been developed to increase the operational speed of the trains on conventional lines which have many curves. This train are tilted at curves to compensate for unbalanced carbody centrifugal acceleration to a greater extent than compensation produced by the track cant, so that passengers do not feel centrifugal acceleration and thus trains can run at higher speed at curves. This paper show that results of normal capacity calculations of the electrical equipments such as Main transformer, PWM converter, VVVF inverter, traction motor in TTX(tilting train express) with maximum operation speed 180 km/h.
A newly-built inverter has to undergo a series of stress tests in the final stage of production line. This can be achieved by connecting it to a dynamometer consisting of a three-phase machine joined by a rigid shaft to a DC load machine. The latter is controlled to create some specific load characteristic needed for the test. In this paper a test method is proposed, in which no mechanical equipment is needed. The suggested test stand consists only of a inverter to be tested and a simulator converter. Both devices are connected back-to-back on the AC-side via smoothing reactors. The simulator operates in real-time as an equivalent load circuit, so that the device under test will only notice the behaviour of a three-phase machine under consideration of the load. In oder to prove rightness of the suggested test method, the simulation and actural experiment carried out emulation for a 2.2kW induction motor.
AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is a very important step to guarantee the product performance. The process of registering components called teaching mode is first perform, and AOI is then carried out in a testing mode that checks defects, such as recognizing and comparing the component mounted on the PCB to the stored components. Since most of registration of the components on the PCB is done manually, it takes a lot of time and there are many problems caused by mistakes or misjudgement. In this paper, A components classifier is proposed using YOLO (You Only Look Once) v2's object detection model that can automatically register components in teaching modes to reduce dramatically time and mistakes. The network of YOLO is modified to classify small objects, and the number of anchor boxes was increased from 9 to 15 to classify various types and sizes. Experimental results show that the proposed method has a good performance with 99.86% accuracy.
