  • The aim of this study was to compare pain descriptions in common dental patients with those in patients with Temporomandibular disorders(TMDs). The study sample consisted of 104 common dental patients and 74 patients with TMDs, and their chief complaint was pain, Subjects were classified common dental pain group and TMDs pain group, respectively. All the subjects completed Korean Pain Rating Scale(KPRS) on first visit. KPRS contains 90 pain terms, which divided into 20 subclasses in 3 dimensions. Each subclass contains 3-6 pain terms. each patient had chosen only one term from each subclass. If there was no proper term, subject could pass the subclass without completion. Words chosen were categorized into sensory, affective, miscellaneous and total dimension. Thereafter they were processed and analyzed by SPSS/PC+ statistical package program with respect to rank values, scale values, number of words chosen and frequency of each subclass. The obtained results of this study were as follows : 1. Total mean number of words chosen was 7.6. 2. Chronic patients groups with Temporomandibular disorders had chosen more freuently from the subclasses in affective dimension than the patients in acute common dental pain group. 3. Frequency of affective dimension was higher in chronic patients groups with Temporomandibular disorders than that of acute patients group with Temporomandibular disorders. 4. Chronic patients group with Temporomandibular disorders had higher frequency in constrictive pressure pain, traction pressure pain, dull pain and fatigue-related pain terms than acute common dental patients group. 5. Acute patients group with Temporomandibular disorders had higher frequency in traction pressure pain and dull pain terms but had lower frequency in chemical pain, peripheral nerve pain and cold pain terms than acute common dental patients groups. 6. There were high positive correlation between the scale- and rank-value in the pain rating index.

  • Bayesian information criterion is used to do clustering for time series data. To acquire more stable clusters, multiple seeds are chosen first for the algorithm. Once clusters being set up, most similar time series data in the cluster to the one under consideration are to be chosen for prediction test. These chosen time series data are used to extract valid Markov rules by which we test the prediction accuracy. We confirmed that clustering with multiple seeds led to better prediction performance.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the parent's social cognition about disciplines in the context of korean culture by analyzing and interpretating theories of discipline and conceptions of parental role in disciplining children presented in the books for domestic life educatio of the chosen Dynasty period. The method used for this study is the historical method and the literatures of analysis are Naihun, Gyubeomseonyoung, Sasojol, Jongbo-Salimgyoungjai, Hahagjinam. Accoding to analysis, the disciplinary theory for children had the basis on the ideas that children learned through everyday expieriences and observation of surounding events, and that crytical periods of learning were at the early childhood. And parents assumed the responsibility for disciplining their children. Also the Chosen Dynasty period had the conceptions that parents had rigorous quality as well as warm-hearted toward their children and teached honor, modesty, plainess and industry.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate women's indoor and outdoor everyday life including their housework, labor and leisure of the late Chosen period as expressed in paintings. Women's everyday life was classified into their indoor and outdoor life according to the custom of Naeoe, which had confined women's activities in the outdoors. This study analyzed 93 Paintings depicting the Due life of People. As a result, even though the Chosen period was a conservative society dominated by Confucian custom that confined women in the home, most women spent much of their time in the outdoors carrying water, washing clothes and doing farm work. Some common women participated in marketing household product, peddling and managing a drink shop. Especially, servant women such as Kineo, Muneo and Youneo labored in Public offices or Private Places. Consequently, this study suggests that the misconception should be corrected that traditional women's sex role had been confined exclusively in the home.

  • Image scrambling is an important technology in information hiding, where the Arnold transformation is widely used. Several researchers have proposed the application of $H{\acute{e}}non$ map in square image scrambling, and certain improved technologies require scrambling many times to achieve a good effect without resisting chosen-plaintext attack although it can be directly applied to non-square images. This paper presents a non-square image scrambling algorithm, which can resist chosen-plaintext attack based on a chaotic two-dimensional Sine Logistic modulation map and $H{\acute{e}}non$ map (2D-SLHM). Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has advantages in terms of key space, efficiency, scrambling degree, ability of anti-attack and robustness to noise interference.

  • "Phenolic composites", one of safety composites, was also chosen to build boats in England. One of the authors, Mr. Forsdyke and his researcher, Dr. Orpin describe how phenolic composites were chosen as construction material for marine application. The reader can get very good understandings from design point of view through this paper.his paper.

  • This study was to develop and to suggest a lesson plan for the area of‘Human Development and Family Relationship’in home economics for junior high school, based on Thelen’s Group Investigation Model’. Group investigation model by Thelen was developed from the theory that the education with special purpose such as societic knowledge is a method to lesson one’s conflict. This study further developed from three main concepts: inquiry, knowledge and activities of learning groups. This model can be used for any age and any subjects in order to solve the arised problems, rather than to accept pre-organized and pre-decided informations. This study is organized around activities for seeking and practicing the rages of action to create dispersal home. First, one unit ‘Understanding of Family’was chosen that concerns and suitable for group investigation model. Second, From the chosen chapter and problem were analyzed organized. Third, the chosen problem were re-analyzed, then a model lesson for group investigation was proposed.

  • A planar UWB antenna using partial ground and CPW feeding is designed and fabricated. We obtained the return loss of average -8.2 dB in Low Band ($3.1\;GHz{\sim}4.8\;GHz$) and the good band rejection characteristic in the range of $4.9\;GHz{\sim}6.8\;GHz$. The simulation results by HFSS are seen to be in good agreement with the measured results.

  • The effect of the DFT methods and basis sets on harmine molecule has been investigated. 26 DFT methods with 6 basis sets were used. Two main comparison chosen DFT methods in this work has been investigated. It is concluded that this contribution is very important and cannot be neglected. In the following analysis, changes in energy levels were investigated by two different methods. Considering a specific basis set, changes in energy levels were obtained using different DFT methods. A specific DFT method is chosen and changes in energy levels have been investigated by means of various basis sets. Effect of the choice of basis sets on geometrical parameters on harmine molecule has also been investigated.

  • This study was carried out to investigate women's labor in the private and public spheres in traditional societies from the Three Kingdom Period to the Chosen Dynasty. This study is based on review of historical literature. It was found that women in the traditional societies from the Three Kingdom Period to the Chosen Dynasty worked not only in private places, such as in households as housewives, but also as slaves in public places such as government offices. Also, women as housewives worked not only to fulfill private needs, but also to pay taxes. In this sense, women in traditional societies participated in labor force in the public arena, not unlike women in industrialized societies who participate in labor market. This research provides a piece of counterevidence against the general belief that women in traditional societies only conducted private housework at home. Therefore this study suggests that we need to rethink gender roles in traditional societies.
