A Study of Nasalance Change in Submucosal Type Cleft Palate Patients by Surgery (점막하 구개열 환자의 수술 전후 비음도 변화에 대한 연구)

  • Submucosal type cleft palate is a kind of cleft palate. A submucosal cleft may result in shortening of the anteroposterior dimension of the hard or soft palates or both. The increased distance along with the lack of muscle connection in the soft palate usually accounts for the lack of palatopharyngeal function in patients with submucosal cleft. Resonance disorders which is found in cleft patients show hypernasality or hyponasality. Many cases of submucosal type cleft palate patients visit our clinics due to hypernasality. In this study, resonance disorders was evaluated through nasalance test. Experimental group was composed of submucosal type cleft palate patients. The patients were treated by a so-called combined therapy, i.e., operation and speech training. To observe the changing pattern by surgery, nasalance test was carried out one time before surgery and three times after surgery. Nasometer II was used as a examination. The questionaire was filled with single vowels & diphthongs. The mean nasalance score of the child was significantly lower than that of the adult at every vowel. An early age at operation (under 10 years) was that a better functional result was achieved with patients. The mean nasalance score of /i/ was highest and that of /a/ was the lowest. The result of corrective surgery in selected cases has achieved improvement in all cases. Hypernasality has been consistently diminished. he operation.

Nearest Neighbor Query Processing in the Mobile Environment

  • In the mobile environment, according to the movement of the object, the query finds the nearest special object or place from object position. However, because query object moves continuously in the mobile environment, query demand changes according to the direction attribute of query object. Also, in the case of moving of query object and simply the minimum distance value of query result, sometimes we find the result against the query object direction. Especially, in most road condition, as user has to return after reaching U-turn area, user rather spends time and cost. Therefore, in order to solve those problems, in this paper we propose the nearest neighbor method considering moving object position and direction for mobile recommendation system.

Changes in Balance and Gait Patterns with Different Heel Heights Among Women in Their 20's (20세 이상 성인의 구두 굽 높이에 따른 균형과 보행형태의 변화)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of different heel heights on gait deviation and balance. Method : Participants were 16 women majoring in physical therapy in Kyungbuk college, located in Yeong-ju, North Kyungsang Province. Balance and gait patterns were measured by Good Balance and GAIT Rite. Result : Statistically significant differences were found in swing right measured by Gait-rite, and also in Analyze End, Ant-post, Med-Lat, and gait ability score(p < .05) regarding dynamic balance ability. Conclusion : There was no statistically significant difference in gait ability between those who walked barefoot and highheeled. However, balance ability was different "between them". This shows that heel height can lead to decrease in gait ability. Further research should include more participants and use a wide range of heel heights.

  • It is the mobile platform that has held important position in wireless internet contents service using mobile phone terminal so far. There have been a variety of mobile platforms developed by several mobile service providers for their purpose and convenience. In this paper, in addition to the merits and demerits analysis and comparison between each platform, the WIPI is introduced and reviewed as a Korean standard wireless internet platform in terms of technology.

  • A PWM forced-commutated converter with DC voltage source is studied in this paper. This PWM-VSC using spacs vector modulation permits to control bi-directional power exchange between the AC mains and the DC source. The principle of the active and reactive power control is presented. In transient operation, the analysis of reactive component current is performed. Finally, the simulation results are also presented and discussed.

  • cDNA(complementary DNA)를 복제(cloneing)하여 염기 서열화 한 EST(Expressed Sequence Tag) 데이터는 여러 생물체들의 염기서열 정보들과 비교를 통해 유사점을 찾거나 기능적 부위 검색을 통해 유전자 기능을 추정한 수 있어 기능 유전체 연구에 많이 사용되고 있다. EST 데이터를 식물은 특정종(Species)별로, 동물의 경우 종의 조직별로 클러스터링 함으로써 아직 알려지지 않은 종의 유전자를 밝혀낼 수 있음은 물론 유전자의 발현에 따른 단백질의 기능도 알아낼 수 있다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 NCBI에서 flatfile 형태로 제공하는 EST 데이터를 분석하여 관계형 데이터베이스로 모델링하고 구축하였다. 또한 EST 데이터의 효율적인 사용을 위하여 데이터를 특정 종의 조직별로 클러스터링하여 제공하는 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

  • This paper presents the novel control and analysis of GTO-CSC. The control method is based on the linearization of an optimal modulation strategy so that the turn-on-periods of the GTO switches can be computed in real-time for any specified modulation index. These PWM patterns allow to produce minimal ac line current low order harmonics of ac line current and low switchings. Finally, the computer simulation results are presented to verify the theoretical analysis.

  • 개인정보보호법의 개정안이 1년간의 계도 기간을 거쳐 2014년 8월 7일에 시행되었다. 개인정보 보호법은 개인정보보호에 관한 법률이 포함하고 있으며 크게 관리적인 보호조치와 기술적 보호 조치로 구분된다. 본 시스템은 기술적인 보호조치에 해당하며, 개인정보가 포함된 문서를 탐지 및 암 복호화 한다. 개인 정보를 보호하는 방법에 있어서 개인정보에 해당하는 패턴을 정의하고, 상기 패턴을 참조하여 컴퓨터에 저장된 파일에 개인정보가 포함되어 있는가를 검색하며, 정보보호를 위한 암 복호화 동작을 수행하는 정보보호단계를 제공함으로써, 개인정보가 포함되어 있는 파일의 외부 유출을 차단할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • 이 논문에서는 기존의 Ad Hoc 네트워크 라우팅 방법 중 proactive routing 과 reactive routing 의 장점을 접목시켜 2-tier 계층구조위에서 효율적인 routing 기법을 제안한다. 또한 제한된 tier-2 네트워크에서 기존의 3GPP 서비스와 상호 연동 가능성을 고려하여 네트워크의 형태 변화에 따른 클러스터 헤더의 효율적인 생성 및 안정적인 경로 확보와 함께 클러스터 헤더의 신뢰성을 제공하기 위한 키 분배 메커니즘을 고찰한다.

  • 홍채인식은 홍채의 무늬 패턴 정보를 이용하여 동일인 여부를 판별하는 생체인식 기술이다. 최근 들어 홍채정보를 이용하여 출입통제, 정보보안등의 분야에 많이 활용되고 있다. 이러한 홍채 인식 시스템에 있어 조명의 영향이나 동공의 크기, 홍채의 회전 등 홍채 취득시 다양한 환경 조건으로 인해 발생될 수 있는 홍채 무늬 패턴의 변화에 강인한 특징을 추출하는 것은 홍채인식에 있어 매우 중요한 과제이다. 본 논문에서는 국부적 방향 히스토그램을 이용한 새로운 홍채 특징 추출 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 성능면에서 기존의 방법들과 비교하여 대등한 성능을 보여주는 것을 실험을 통해 확인하였다.
