중국의 선원교육제도의 개요와 선원송출조직에 관한 조사연구 (A Survey Study on the Outline of Chinese Seafarers' Education System and the Mechanism of Chinese Overseas Seafarers' Employment)

  • Chinese seafarers have begun to be employed by foreign shipowners since 14979. Recognizing the benefits of overseas seafarers employment , Chinese goverment has implemented policy for seafarers' education and supply. Over the past two decades, the goverment has expanded and improved seafarer training facilities. As a result a number of seafarers have been educated, who are now available for employment on Chinese and foreign flag vessels. In 1995, about 20,000 Chinese seafarers served on foregin shipowner's vessels and the total foreign currency they earned was approximately US $300 million. This paper aims to describe the education system for Chinese seafarers and the mechanism of Chinese overseas seafarers employment and to highlight main problems occurred in the mechanism of their overseas employment. It takes the fact-finding research method with literature survey and interview.

Ginsenoside compound K protects against cerebral ischemia/ reperfusion injury via Mul1/Mfn2-mediated mitochondrial dynamics and bioenergy

  • Background: Ginsenoside compound K (CK), the main active metabolite in Panax ginseng, has shown good safety and bioavailability in clinical trials and exerts neuroprotective effects in cerebral ischemic stroke. However, its potential role in the prevention of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury remains unclear. Our study aimed to investigate the molecular mechanism of ginsenoside CK against cerebral I/R injury. Methods: We used a combination of in vitro and in vivo models, including oxygen and glucose deprivation/reperfusion induced PC12 cell model and middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion induced rat model, to mimic I/R injury. Intracellular oxygen consumption and extracellular acidification rate were analyzed by Seahorse multifunctional energy metabolism system; ATP production was detected by luciferase method. The number and size of mitochondria were analyzed by transmission electron microscopy and MitoTracker probe combined with confocal laser microscopy. The potential mechanisms of ginsenoside CK on mitochondrial dynamics and bioenergy were evaluated by RNA interference, pharmacological antagonism combined with co-immunoprecipitation analysis and phenotypic analysis. Results: Ginsenoside CK pretreatment could attenuate mitochondrial translocation of DRP1, mitophagy, mitochondrial apoptosis, and neuronal bioenergy imbalance against cerebral I/R injury in both in vitro and in vivo models. Our data also confirmed that ginsenoside CK administration could reduce the binding affinity of Mul1 and Mfn2 to inhibit the ubiquitination and degradation of Mfn2, thereby elevating the protein level of Mfn2 in cerebral I/R injury. Conclusion: These data provide evidence that ginsenoside CK may be a promising therapeutic agent against cerebral I/R injury via Mul1/Mfn2 mediated mitochondrial dynamics and bioenergy.

The comparative study of Chinese Design Higher Education before and after the Reform and Opening-up

  • Because of the social and political reasons, Chinese design higher education has come a long and difficult road. Before and after the Reform and Opening-up, Chinese design higher education system has gone through two different models: "Arts and Crafts" and "Arts & Design". By comparing external environment and Education Concept of two models, this paper points out that the correct direction of design higher education reform is to understand and learn the advantages of two education systems.

한·중 소비자의 공정무역에 대한 인식, 제품 구매의도와 소비자교육 요구 (A Study on Korean and Chinese Consumers' Cognition, Product Purchase Intention and Consumer Demand for Fair Trade Education)

  • Fair trade is international trade that pays just wages, supplies stable and eco-friendly products, and supports the sustainable development of economies. This study examined consumers 'cognition of fair trade, product intention of fair trade products, and consumer demand for fair trade education. We compare these variables between Korean and Chinese consumers and explored variables that affect consumers' cognition, purchase intentions and consumer education demand. This study randomly targeted 428 adult consumers in Seoul (219) and Beijing (209) to grasp the demand of customer education and a purchasing intention for fair trade products. The results of this study are as follows. First, participants showed a low cognition of fair trade and purchase intention, while consumer demand for fair trade education on concept, campaign and effect had a comparatively higher level. Chinese consumers showed a higher level of purchase intention, but a lower level of consumer education demand for fair trade concepts. Second, a higher education level resulted in a higher cognition of fair trade by Korean consumers and more experienced Chinese consumers had a higher cognition. Third, the cognition of fair trade affected the purchase intentions positively for both in Korean and Chinese consumers. Finally, cognition and purchase intention showed positive effects of the consumer demand for fair trade education on concept, campaign, and effect.

Four Butenolides are Novel Cytotoxic Compounds Isolated from the Marine-Derived Bacterium, Streptoverticillium luteoverticillatum 11014

  • Four known butenolides were isolated from the ethyl acetate extracts of the culture broth of the marine-derived bacterium, Streptoverticillium luteoverticillatum, by bioassay-guided fractionation. The structures were identified on the basis of spectral data. The absolute configuration of compound (1) was determined by CD spectrum for the first time. Compounds 1-4 showed in vitro cytotoxicity against the murine lymphoma P388 and human leukemia K562 cell lines. This is the first report on the isolation of butenolides from the marine bacterium, Streptoverticillium luteoverticillatum, and their cytotoxic activities.

웹 기반의 한자 쓰기 시스템 (Learning System for Writing of Chinese Character based on WEB)

  • 우리가 현재 사용하고 있는 단어의 70% 이상이 한자로 구성되어 있는 만큼 정확한 의미 전달을 위해 한자 교육의 필요성이 높아지고 있다. 또한 최근에는 단순히 한자의 독음과 뜻 뿐 만이 아니라 정확한 획순에 의해 올바로 한자를 쓰는 것에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이에 사용자의 학습 편의성을 제공하기 위한 서적들과 인터넷을 이용한 콘텐츠들이 개발되어지고 있다. 그러나 인터넷을 이용한 대부분의 콘텐츠들은 단순한 독음과 뜻만을 제시하고 학습하는 곳에 초점이 맞춰져 있다. 또한 서적들은 획순에 의한 한자 쓰기 학습을 적용하고 있으나 획일적인 반복만을 강조함으로써 학습효과가 높지 못하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 웹을 통하여 인터넷상의 사용자가 언제 어디서나 자기 주도적 학습을 가능토록 하며, 한자의 독음 및 뜻과 함께 필순에 의한 쓰기 기능을 제공하는 콘텐츠를 구현하였다. 이를 통하여 사용자 중심의 자기 주도적 학습에 의한 학습 상황 관리 및 한자 학습에 있어서 정확한 읽기와 쓰기를 이해함으로써 학습 효과의 효율성을 높일 수 있다.

Chemosensitizing effect and mechanism of imperatorin on the anti-tumor activity of doxorubicin in tumor cells and transplantation tumor model

  • Multidrug resistance of tumors has been a severe obstacle to the success of cancer chemotherapy. The study wants to investigate the reversal effects of imperatorin (IMP) on doxorubicin (DOX) resistance in K562/DOX leukemia cells, A2780/Taxol cells and in NOD/SCID mice, to explore the possible molecular mechanisms. K562/DOX and A2780/Taxol cells were treated with various concentrations of DOX and Taol with or without different concentrations of IMP, respectively. K562/DOX xenograft model was used to assess anti-tumor effect of IMP combined with DOX. MTT assay, Rhodamine 123 efflux assay, RT-PCR, and Western blot analysis were determined in vivo and in vitro. Results showed that IMP significantly enhanced the cytotoxicity of DOX and Taxol toward corresponding resistance cells. In vivo results illustrated both the tumor volume and tumor weight were significantly decreased after 2-week treatment with IMP combined with DOX compared to the DOX alone group. Western blotting and RT-PCR analyses indicated that IMP downregulated the expression of P-gp in K562/DOX xenograft tumors in NOD/SCID mice. We also evaluated glycolysis and glutamine metabolism in K562/DOX cells by measuring glucose consumption and lactate production. The results revealed that IMP could significantly reduce the glucose consumption and lactate production of K562/DOX cells. Furthermore, IMP could also remarkably repress the glutamine consumption, α-KG and ATP production of K562/DOX cells. Thus, IMP may sensitize K562/DOX cells to DOX and enhance the antitumor effect of DOX in K562/DOX xenograft tumors in NOD/SCID mice. IMP may be an adjuvant therapy to mitigate the multidrug resistance in leukemia chemotherapy.

중국어 교사로서의 역량에 관한 중국어 교사의 인식 (A Study on Chinese Teacher's Perceptions of Professional Competence for Teaching Foreigners Chinese in China)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 외국인에게 중국어를 가르칠 수 있는 중국어 교사의 역량에 관한 현직 중국어 교사의 인식을 알아봄으로써 개선 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 중국 산동성 Q시에 외국인에게 중국어를 가르치고 있는 중국어 교사들 56명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 중국어 교사로서의 역량에 대해 그 중요정도는 중국어 교사들이 비교적인 높은 평균값으로 인식하고 있다는 것으로 나타났지만, 실제 보유정도는 평균 점수가 비교적인 낮은 것으로 나타냈다. 이런 결과를 바탕으로 내린 결론은 다음과 같다. 외국인에게 중국어를 가르칠 수 있는 중국어 교사의 역량이 시식, 기술, 소양 3가지 요소로 여길 수 있다. 중국어 교사 역량을 높이기 위하여 중국 문화에 관한 지식, 교수-학습 방법과 기능, 다문화 적응, 교학 연구 등 측면에 편중하게 노력해야 할 필요가 있다. 앞으로 중국어 교사 양성 및 연수 프로그램에서 중국 문화에 대한 지식 학습을 강화할 뿐만 아니라, 언어 교육의 다양한 교수-학습 방법에 대한 학습을 중시해야 한다. 양호한 심리적 소양을 유지하면서 다문화 적응 능력도 향상시켜야 한다.

The Mathematical Knowledge of Elementary School Teachers: A Comparative Perspective

  • This study examines the differences and similarities of mathematics teachers' subject matter knowledge among England, the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. Data were collected from a ten-item test in the SKIMA subject matter audit instrument [Rowland, T.; Martyn, S.; Barber, P. & Heal, C. (2000). Primary teacher trainees' mathematics subject knowledge and classroom performance. In: T. Rowland & C. Morgan (eds.), Research in Mathematics Education, Volume 2 (pp.3-18). ME 2000e.03066] from over 500 participants. Results showed that participants from England performed consistently better, with those from Hong Kong being next and then followed by those from the Chinese mainland. The qualitative data revealed that participants from Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland were fluent in applying routines to solve problems, but had some difficulties in offering explanations or justifications.

A Study on the Consciousness for Korean-Chinese Adaptation in Korea

  • Purpose - This study aims to determine whether history education for Korean-Chinese living in Korea affects their understanding for Korean society. It also aims to determine Korean-Chinese compatriots to recognize the necessity for History education. Research design, data, and methodology - In this study, two parts were examined, which were the analysis on the influence of history education and the Korean-Chinese compatriots' adaptation to Korean society. In the case of data survey, Korean-Chinese compatriots were selected who are living in Korea. The survey was conducted using the samples of 200 questionnaires in total. Results - The results of the analysis shows that their residence adaptation in Korea has a positive impact on future nationality. Moreover, the residence adaptation in Korea has positive implications for their future nationality and their longer residence duration in Korea has an effect on their hope for living in Korea. Conclusions - The study showed the historical consciousness and related demographic characteristics of Korean compatriots living in Korea. It also showed that the longer their education duration for Korean history in China, the more difficult their adaptation would be. Therefore, the long term effects of adaptation depended on the emphasis of Korean history.
