유아의 기질과 정서조절능력 간의 관계: 어머니 양육효능감의 매개적 역할 (The Relationship Between Young Children's Temperament and Emotional Regulation: The Mediating Role of Parenting Sense of Competence)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between young children's temperament, emotional regulation ability and mother's parenting sense of competence. Methods: The participants were comprised of 315 young children who attend a kindergarten or day care center and their mothers from Seoul, Inchon, and Gyeonggi-do Province. They completed questionnaires on temperament, emotion regulation ability, and parenting sense of competence. The data were analyzed by frequency analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis. Results: It was observed that young children's regularity/adaptability was positively correlated with sense of competence as a parent and young children's emotional regulation. Young children's regularity/adaptability was negatively correlated with dissatisfaction as a parent and young children's emotional instability/negativity. Sense of competence as a parent was positively correlated with young children's emotional regulation and negatively correlated with young children's emotional instability/negativity. In addition, it was further found that the mother's parenting sense of competence tended to play a perfectly/partially mediating role between young children's temperament and young children's emotional regulation ability respectively. Conclusion/Implications: These results clearly indicated that parenting sense of competence plays a crucial role between young children's temperament and emotional regulation.

어린이집 아동의 건강기능식품 이용실태와 한약이용에 대한 인식 - 원주와 충주의 일부 어린이집을 대상으로 - (Survey on the Use and Perception of Health Functional Foods and Herbal Medicine for Children in Local Day Care Center - Focus on Wonju and Chungju Region -)

  • Objectives : The use of health functional foods is gradually increasing. On the other hand, the use of the Korean herbal medicine is gradually decreasing. Especially children are known to have a high percentage of taking a health functional food. This study was designed to compare the use of health functional food with the reason for taking the Korean herbal medicine. Methods : The participants were 453 parents who have kids age between 3 to 6 years old from day care center in Wonju and Chungju. The questionnaire consisted of 17 questions and the survey was conducted by self-entry method. This study analyzed 374 participants' questionnaires who agreed to the survey. Results : The percentages of children's health functional food intake experience were 82.9% and they usually bought products which contain lactic acid bacteria(55.6%). The reason for consuming health functional food was to strengthen the immune system and enhance the physical strength. Most of the participants purchased health functional food from pharmacy through inaccurate information such as the internet. The percentages of children's health functional food preference were 58.5% because it is easy to take. The percentages of children's herbal medicine preference were 41.7%. There are inconveniences of taking herbal medicine because of taste and smell(68.8%). Conclusions : Therefore, it is necessary to change the formulation of the herbal medicine and increase convenience for use of the herbal medicine to preschooler(3-6 years old). In additionary, it is necessary to supply accurate and up to date information of herbal medicine taking.

어린이집 초기적응과정에서 나타난 영아반 보육교사의 어려움 (The difficulties of Teachers During the Process of Early Adaptation in Day Care Center)

  • 본 연구는 어린이집 초기적응과정에서 영아반 보육교사가 겪는 어려움을 살펴보고, 이를 통해 교사들의 생각과 요구를 실제적으로 파악하며 바람직한 초기적응 운영방식의 기초를 마련하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 P시에 위치한 국공립 S어린이집의 만 1세반 영아 9명과 부모 7명을 관찰하였으며, S어린이집 교사 8명을 심층면담 하였다. 연구에 의하면 교사들은 첫째, 부모와의 관계에서 내 자녀만을 위하는 이기주의, 상호간의 신뢰 부족, 초기적응 프로그램의 학부모 역할 이해 부족, 일과 운영에 대한 이해 부족으로 인해 어려움을 겪고 있었다. 둘째, 영아와의 관계에서는 우는 아이 달래기, 또래들 간의 다툼 중재하기, 재원 영아와 신입 영아간의 균형 맞추기에서 어려움을 나타내고 있었다. 셋째, 동료와의 관계에서는 동료교사와 협력하기, 원장선생님과 대화하기에서 어려움을 겪고 있었다. 이 연구 결과는 영아 초기 적응과정에서 겪는 교사들의 어려움을 실질적으로 이해하고, 교사들의 어려움을 지원할 수 있는 구체적인 운영방안을 마련하는 데 의미 있는 기초자료를 제공할 것이다.

유아의 대인관계 형성능력에 미치는 정서조절능력과 대인문제해결사고의 영향 (The Effect of Emotional Control and Interpersonal Cognitive Problem Solving Ability on Children's Interpersonal Relationship Formative)

  • 본 연구는 유아의 대인관계 형성능력에 정서조절능력과 대인문제해결사고가 어떠한 영향력이 있는지에 대하여 알아보고자 실시되었다. 연구대상은 G광역시의 어린이집과 유치원 3곳의 유아 133명이다. 자료의 분석은 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson의 적률상관관계, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구결과는 첫째, 유아의 성별에 따라서는 대인관계 형성능력 전체와 하위요인인 사회적 반응성에서만 여아가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 형제 수와 어머니의 취업여부에 따라서 형제가 1명인 경우, 취업모인 경우가 대인관계 형성능력, 정서조절능력, 대인문제해결사고 모두에서 가장 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 대인관계 형성능력은 정서조절능력과 대인문제해결사고와 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 대인관계 형성능력에 영향을 미치는 요인은 정서조절의 자기조절과 타인조절력이었으며, 대인문제해결사고에서는 원인적 사고가 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

보육시설의 영양사 배치를 통한 영양교육 및 효과 평가 (The Effectiveness of Nutrition Education Provided by Dietitians in Child Care Centers)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition education with nutrition services provided by dietitians who were placed in child care facilities from the Korean Dietetic Association. For this, we investigated the levels of nutrition knowledge and dietary intakes of children who attended child-care centers as well as dietary practices of children assessed by their parents. The treatment for children consisted of nutrition education and food service activities that are provided by the dietitian who have 3 to 5 years experience. Nutrition education was implemented during 10 weeks, 20 times, and a total 400 min and it's effectiveness was evaluated by questionnaire. Data were obtained for 123 children aged 4 to 5 years old who attended four child-care centers, one for a control group and 3 for intervention groups. Dietary intakes were investigated by measuring one-serving size and plate waste a of child for one-day dietary records before and after nutrition education. The levels of nutrition knowledge of children improved showing 70.80 points before to 83.45 points after nutrition education (p<0.001). Dietary intakes of the children after nutrition service increased significantly on cooked rice (133.66 g), Kimchi (19.41 g), side dish of meat/fish (48.40 g), and side dish of vegetables (24.88 g). Dietary practices of children after treatment also improved especially 'eat diverse meat, fish, egg, and bean' and 'never leave plate waste'. To summarize, this study pointed out that nutrition service and nutrition education provided by dietitians had influences on increases of the nutrition knowledge, dietary intake, and dietary practices. Therefore, placement of dietitians needs to extend to child care facilities from the 100 persons-over-capacity facility to the 50 persons-over-capacity facility, for providing professional service such as nutrition education and nutrition counseling.

The offspring of mothers who smoked during pregnancy had more than risk of having committed crimes, deformities, premature, drug abuse, psychiatry et al. This study suggested that prohibition of smoking for women.

유아 지속가능발전교육 활동의 효과 (The Effects of Educational Activities for Sustainable Development in Early Childhood Education)

  • 본 연구는 유아를 대상으로 지속가능발전교육 활동을 적용하고 그 효과를 검증하는 것이 주된 목적이다. 이를 위해 경기도 P시의 A어린이집 유아 20명을 실험집단(남아11명, 여아9명)으로, G어린이집의 20명을 통제집단(남아11명, 여아9명)으로 구성하고 8주 동안 실험집단에는 지속가능발전교육활동을, 통제집단에게는 누리과정 생활주제와 일상적인 교육활동을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아 지속가능발전교육 활동을 경험한 실험집단의 유아 배려행동은 증가했다. 둘째, 유아 지속가능발전교육 활동을 경험한 실험집단의 유아 공동체의식은 증가되었다. 셋째, 유아 지속가능발전교육 활동을 경험한 실험집단의 유아 소비자 행동은 긍정적으로 변화하였다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서 구성한 유아 지속가능발전교육 활동은 유아의 배려행동과 공동체의식, 소비자 행동에 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 유아 지속가능발전교육 활동을 유아교육현장에 적용하는 것은 가치가 있는 것임을 본 연구는 시사하고 있다.

Immunization Statuses of Children in Childcare Centers and Sociodemographic Factors Associated with Delayed DTaP4 Immunization

  • Purpose: Immunization is one of the simplest and most effective approaches for protecting the health of children from preventable infectious disease. This study assessed the immunization statuses of children presenting to childcare centers in Korea and compared the sociodemographic factors of children with age-appropriate immunization for DTaP4 with those with delayed immunization for DTaP4. Method: A national mail survey was used to collect data on the children's immunization history and sociodemographic information. A total of 248 mothers returned completed questionnaires for their children. Results: The overall immunization coverage for HepB, a series of DTaP and polio and varicella was above 95%. However, the percentage of age-appropriate immunizations of vaccines ranged from 45.3% to 69.0% depending on the vaccines. Only the age of the child was a significant factor for delayed immunization for DTaP4. Conclusion: To fully protect children from vaccine-preventable disease, childcare providers can playa role in monitoring the immunization statuses of children in their care centers to ensure that they all receive all childhood immunizations on time.

영유아의 스마트기기 사용 실태 및 어머니의 인식 (Use of Smart Devices of Infants and Preschool-children and Their Mothers' Perceptions)

  • 본 연구는 영유아의 스마트기기 사용에 대한 실태와 어머니의 인식에 대해 조사하고자 하며 이 연구를 통해 영유아기 자녀의 스마트기기 사용에 따른 문제점을 예방하기 위한 기초자료를 마련하기 위한 것이 목적이라고 할 수 있다. 부산광역시 소재한 유치원, 어린이집에 다니는 만 1세부터 만 5세까지의 영유아 자녀를 둔 어머니 397명을 대상으로 조사연구를 실시하였으며 수집한 자료는 Window용 PASW 18.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 각 문항별로 빈도와 백분율을 실시하였고, 변인별 차이를 알아보기 위해 빈도와 백분율 문항에 대해서는 카이검증 및 일원배치 분산분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 영유아 가정의 스마트기기 사용여부를 살펴본 결과 대부분이 스마트기기를 사용하고 있고 자녀가 원할 때는 사용을 허용하고 있었으며 집에서 잠들기 전 저녁시간에 오락적인 놀이를 위해서 사용하고 있다고 하였다. 둘째, 자녀의 성별, 기관유형, 연령에 상관없이 어머니들 모두 스마트기기의 유해한 부분 차단의 안전성을 가장 많이 요구하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 어머니들은 스마트기기의 유해 부분을 차단하는 안전성 방안마련과 스마트기기를 학습에 도움이 되는 방향으로 사용하기를 원하고 있음을 볼 때 앞으로 자녀가 안전하게 스마트기기를 사용할 수 있고 교육의 효과도 극대화 할 수 있는 연구들이 필요함을 알 수 있다.

어린이집 교사들의 영양지식과 영양교육에 대한 인식 조사연구 (A Survey of Teachers' Recognition on Nutrition Knowledge and Nutrition Education at Day-care Centers)

  • This study was aimed at knowing the recognition of teachers' nutrition knowledge and nutrition education at day-care centers in Seong-nam. Teachers were all female, most of whom were in the 20, and their careers were less than 3 years. And $76.2\%$ of the teachers graduated from high school and junior college. The score of the nutrition knowledge was average $14.3\pm2.2$ (out of 20). It shows that they are lack of general information of nutrition. As the teachers had higher education, they scored higher nutrition knowledge levels (p < 0.01). It also says that there was meaningful interrelationship between the nutrition knowledge and the number of children they had (p < 0.05). $93\%$ of the teachers said that nutrition education should be given when children are three years old, at least and most of the teachers thought that nutrition education is necessary and should be taught in a separate course. $50.4\%$ of the teachers thought that nutrition education for early childhood should be taught by a nutritionist, but $35.2\%$ of them thought that the teachers themselves should be in charge of it. About $60\%$ of the teachers thought that 'Cooking Activity for Early Childhood' course should be established and it is desirable that the nutrition education should be in the area of cooking activity for childhood at day-care centers. The teachers thought that dietary habit is the most important subject in nutrition education and they got more information from the internet rather than in the class related to nutrition.
