아동중심놀이치료에서의 아동과 치료자 반응 관찰척도 개발 (The Development of an Observation Scale to facilitate a Valid and Reliable Analysis of the Responses of Child and Therapist in Child-Centered Play Therapy)

  • This study was conducted in order to develop an observation scale for analyzing the responses of child and therapist in child-centered play therapy in terms of item discrimination, validity, and reliability. The observation scale was developed on the basis of child-centered play therapy literature, the author's experience of child-centered play therapy, the observation of video tapes of play therapy session, and discussions with child-centered play therapy experts. The participants in this study were 54 children aged from 4 to 9 years old who have emotional and behavioral problems, and 7 therapists who consult with the children. The reliability of factors, as measured by inter-rater reliability and Cronbach's', ranged from .72 to .77. The results of factor analysis identified 2 factors and 21 items associated with the reponses of the children, and 2 factors and 19 items associated with the responses of the therapists. The significant factors identified were as follows; (1) the child's response style; (2) the child's response content (adaptability, initiation, structuring, flexibility); (3) the therapist's response style, and (4) the therapist's response content (facilitative response, structuring, nonfacilitative response). In conclusion, these results demonstrated that the observation scale provides a valid and reliable means of analyzing the responses of child and therapist in child-centered play therapy.

  • 연구의 목적은 아동평가 중 관찰의 유형과 기능에 대해 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 다른 분야와 마찬가지로 아동의 평가에는 관찰, 면담, 표준화된 평가 방식들이 다양하게 이용된다. 감각통합 치료접근을 사용하는 치료사들의 경우, 아동 평가 중 특히 초기평가에서 기본적으로 관찰법을 이용한다. 명확한 관찰은 평가의 신뢰성과 타당성을 높이는 근간이 된다. 따라서 관찰의 기본적인 방법들과 요소에 대해 알아봄으로써, 향후 치료사의 관찰능력을 제고하는데 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

관찰법을 활용한 보육교사의 손위생 이행도 (Hand-hygiene Compliance of Child Care Teachers through Observation Method)

  • Background & objectives: This study was aimed to identify the hand hygiene (HH) compliance and related factors among teachers working at child day care centers. Method: This study was done with 44 teachers working at home child day care center in Changwon. Data on hand hygiene compliance was measured using direct observation method from July to December, 2016 with structured observation sheet. Collected data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, and t-test or ANOVA using SPSS Statistics version 23.0. Result: Complete HH compliance rate was 54.0%, the highest in 'before having meals' (81.6%) and the lowest in 'after having meals' (25.8%). However, incomplete HH compliance rate was 34.5%, the highest in 'after contact with secretions' (47.8%) and the lowest in 'before having meals' (18.4%). The HH rate was related with working experience. Conclusion: The HH compliance rate among child care teachers was not satisfactory. About one quarter of child care teachers have taken hand hygiene related training. Therefore, child care teachers should be encouraged to participate in hand hygiene related education program regularly.

어린이집의 질적 수준 및 교사의 놀이참여와 아동의 놀이행동 간의 관계 (The Relations of Child Care Quality and Teachers' Participation in Children's Play)

  • Subjects were 15 teachers and 143 children at 15 child-care centers in Seoul that varied by quality of care. The Child Care Program Observation Scale(Rhee et at., 2003) was employed to observe the quality of the centers. Information on teachers' participation in play was collected by 20 units of observation for each teacher using a rating scale developed by the author. Children's behaviors were observed with time sampling method in 12 categories of play behaviors based on Social and Cognitive Play Scales(Rubin et al., 1978). Children's play behaviors varied by quality of child-care centers and teachers' participation in play. When child-care quality was high, teachers' participated actively in children's play and children showed developmentally appropriate play behaviors.

표준보육과정에 기초한 영아관찰척도 개발을 위한 기초 연구 (A Preliminary Study into the Infant Observation Scale Based on the National Curriculum for Childcare Centers)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a valid and reliable infant observation scale based on the national curriculum for childcare centers. The study was carried out using the final draft of the Infant Observation Scale for 1 year old infants. The scale consists of 42 items in 6 areas. Whereas the final draft of the Infant Observation Scale for 2 year old infants consists of 52 items in 6 areas. The subjects of this observation scale were 120 infants from the city of Busan. The results of the Infant Observation Scale for the 1 year old infant analysis for the purpose of test adequacy indecates that the internal consistency reliability is from .88 to .97. The results of the Infant Observation Scale for 2 year old infant analysis for test adequacy shows that the internal consistency reliability is from .76 to .97.

어린이집 프로그램 관찰척도의 개발과 타당화 (Development and Validation of an Observation Scale for Day Care Programs)

  • This study aimed to develop an observation scale for assessing the quality of day care programs and to examine reliability and validity of the scale. Instruments included 3 self-assessment scales, the Evaluation Scale for Early Childhood Programs and an observation scale completed by 8 trained observers in 89 day care sites. Item analysis indicated that most items were acceptable in terms of item discrimination and item response distribution. Cronbach ${\alpha}^{\prime}s$ and inter-observer reliability were relatively high. Validity of the scale was evidenced by correlations between the observation scale and the criterion measure and inter-correlations among sub-areas of the observation scale. Scores on the observation scale were validated by quality ratings from self-assessment scores.

아동의 음절습득 원리 (The Principles of child syllable Acquisition)

  • The purpose of this study is to point out that the segment-based study on child phonological acquisition is not sufficient in accounting for the ever-changing dynamic development of child phonology and to attempt to explain child phonology in terms of syllable-based theory of phonology, one of various types of non -linear phonology which have been studied since the late 1970's. According to Gruber's observation. it is obvious that children perceive their own concept of syllable even at the early stage of babbling. In addition, the statistical data show that the CV-type syllable is most frequently used in child phonology. These evidences seem to suffice to conclude that the CV-type syllable is the most unmarked of all four core syllable types in the sense of Clements & Keyser(1983). Starting with this observation, it is further argued that in child phonology the markedness of syllable types increases in the order of CV, CVC, VC and V.

어린이환자의 공간사용 행태에 관한 연구 - 놀이 및 휴게 활동을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Space Use and Behavior of Child Patients - Focus on the Rest and Play Activities -)

  • This study aims to investigate the child patients' space use and behavior with its focus on the rest and play activities. The structural observation method followed by literature review adapted to find out the commonality and difference of play activities among the age groups. Children's development and types of play activities and participation in activities were reviewed through the related studies. Preliminary research on spatial composition and facilities and the observation of child patients' play behavior and space use was carried out as a main research. A total of 148 cases were studied and PASW 18, a statistics analysis program, was used for data analysis. The results are as follows; (1) The Lobby was important space as a play and rest area. (2) The subjects mainly played physical play and social-cognitive play. The result of this study provides fundamental data for designing children's hospitals that can contribute to the treatment and health improvement of child patients.

만 2세 교육과정에서 영아들이 교사에게 시도하는 개별적인 상호작용에 관한 문화기술적 연구 (An Ethnographic Approach to Infants' Attempts at Interactions with Their Teacher in the Two-Year-Old Curriculum of a Child Care Center)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate infants' individual attempts at interaction with their teachers in the two-year-old class curriculum of a child care center. To achieve this aim, this study analyzed both the types of interactions that infants attempted with their teachers, as well as the underlying message contained in infants' attempts at of interacting. This study used the complete participation observation methodology following an ethnographic approach, a research method which can help us see the whole picture by tracing the main causes and connections. The participants in this study were 13 infants and their teachers in 2 two-year-old classes (Hope and Love) of the Vision Child Care Center located in G city. The researcher, who was also a Hope-class teacher, ad as an observer, and the Love-class teacher acted as an assistant observer. Participant observation was made everyday except the days when field trips and group activities wewe planned, from october 2009 to January 2010. A variety of methods were used to collect materials, such as participant observation, in-depth interviews and collection of documents.

만5세 또래 인기아의 행동특성에 대한 사례 연구 (A Case Study of Five-year-old Popular Child's Behavior Patterns)

  • 본 연구에서는 만5세 인기아의 행동특성을 살펴보기 위하여 참여관찰을 통해 수집한 자료를 질적으로 분석하였다. 이를 위해 경기도 P시에 소재한 D어린이집의 만5세 반 유아들 중 또래 지명법을 활용하여 선정된 또래인기아를 연구 참여자로 선정하였다. 참여관찰은 2017년 4월부터 11월까지 36회에 걸쳐 또래관계를 가장 자연스럽게 관찰 할 수 있는 자유선택활동 시간을 중심으로 이루어졌으며, 교사와 유아를 대상으로 형식적 비형식적 면담, 부모상담일지, 유아관찰일지, 가정 기초 조사서 등을 참고하여 관찰한 내용에 대한 이해를 도왔다. 자료의 분석은 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 전사, 코딩, 주제 생성의 세 단계를 걸쳐 이루어졌다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인기아는 또래와의 상호작용 속에서 배려, 책임감, 높은 집중력, 풍부한 유머감각을 보이는 등 긍정적인 행동이 두드러지게 관찰되었다. 둘째, 인기아는 놀이 참여 시 통제, 따돌림 등 부정적인 행동들도 함께 관찰되었다. 인기아의 행동특성을 분석한 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 유아교육기관이나 가정에서 유아가 긍정적인 또래관계를 형성할 수 있도록 지원하는 프로그램 계발 및 교육환경 조성을 위한 구체적인 근거와 올바른 방향을 제시하는데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
