어린이집원장의 감성리더십이 보육교사의 감성지능과 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Childcare Center Director's Emotional Leadership on Childcare Teachers' Emotional Intelligence and Quality of Life)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 어린이집원장의 감성리더십이 보육교사의 감성지능과 보육교사의 삶의 질에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위함이다. 이를 위하여 K시와 J도에 소재한 어린이집에 재직 중인 교사 277명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구를 위해 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 20.0을 이용하여 빈도분석과 기술통계, Pearson 적률상관분석, 중다회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 이에 따른 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어린이집 원장의 감성리더십 전체는 감성지능 전체 간에 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 있으며 보육교사의 감성지능 전체에 7.2%의 영향력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어린이집원장의 감성리더십 전체는 삶의 질 전체 간에 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 있으며 보육교사의 삶의 질 전체에 9.9%의 영향력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 어린이집원장의 감성리더십과 보육교사의 감성지능을 위하여 보육교사의 삶의 질을 높일 수 있는 정책적 방안을 마련하는데 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.

장애아 전문 어린이집 피난인식 및 건축현황 분석 연구 (A Study on the Recognitions on Evacuation and Architectural Design Characteristics of Child Care Center with Disabilities)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 재난약자인 장애아 전문 어린이집의 건축계획 및 피난관리의 개선방안을 모색하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 장애아 전문 어린이집을 운영하는 원장 및 관리자를 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 피난인식을 조사하고, 어린이집 현장조사를 통해 보육 및 피난 환경을 분석하였다. 이상의 연구결과 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 65.3%의 보육시설 원장이 "자력으로 피난이 가능한 장애아동이 30% 미만"으로 응답하고, 중증복합장애 아동이 50% 이상인 시설이 73.2%를 차지하고 있어, 현실적으로 장애아동은 보육교사의 도움없이 안전한 피난은 어려울 것으로 판단된다. 둘째, 수직피난 또는 길찾기의 어려움이 있는 중증장애 아동이 2층 이상에 재실하는 장애아 전문 어린이집은, 각 층에 소방차 도착 후 구난시까지 대기할 수 있는 방화구획된 피난안전구역 설치의 필요성이 있다. 셋째, 서울시의 장애아 전문 어린이집은 대부분은 복지관 1층에 입지하고 있어 피난의 수월성은 보장되지만, 주택이나 공동주택 등을 리모델링하여 운영하는 어린이집은 시설환경이 노후화하고 열악하여 안전 및 피난을 위해 편의 및 피난시설의 개선이 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

공공형 어린이집 공인 인증제도에 대한 부모의 인식 연구 (The Study of Parents' Perception on Accreditation System of Public Type Child Care Centers)

  • 본 연구는 공공형 어린이집 이용자인 부모의 공공형 어린이집에 대한 내용 인식이 어느 정도인지 파악하여 그 결과를 바탕으로 추후 공공형 어린이집 이용 활성화와 공공형 어린이집의 제도 개선 및 역할증대를 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 공공형 어린이집 공인 인증제도에 대한 부모의 의견과 인식에 대해 조사하였다. 연구대상은 K도에 위치한 민간 어린이집 유형의 공공형 어린이집 7개소 부모 202명이다. 조사방법은 공공형 어린이집 인증제도에 대한 내용을 설문지로 구성하여 배부하였다. 결과는 첫째, 공공형 어린이집 공인 인증제도의 필요성에 대한 인식은 높게 나타났다. 또한 공공형 어린이집 공인 인증제도가 필요한 측면에 대해서는 어린이집 수준의 상향화, 수준 높은 보육내용의 제공부분에 대해 다수가 인식한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어린이집 공인 인증시설이라는 것이 어린이집 선택 시 영향을 주는 것으로 나타냈다. 셋째, 공공형 어린이집 공인 인증제도에 대한 인식부분에서는 '보통이다'라는 답변이 높게 나타났고, 그 다음으로 '알고 있다'라는 답변의 순서로 나타났다. 본 연구는 향후 부모들의 공공형 어린이집에 대한 이해를 높이고 이용활성화 및 제도 개선을 위한 기초자료를 제공하였다.

2세 영아의 어머니와 보육교사에 대한 복합 애착과 사회·정서적 행동 (Effects on Socio-Emotional Behaviors of Multiple Attachments to Mothers and Child Care Providers in 2-year-olds)

  • The socio-emotional behaviors of 2-year-olds were examined by multiple attachments to mothers and child care providers in the context of home and child care centers. Participants were 100 children (mean age: 30.2 months), their mothers, and 27 child care providers. Attachment security was assessed with attachment Q-set. Children's social interaction with peers and teachers were rated every 10 seconds during 10 minute observation periods for 4 days, totaling40 minutes per child. Mothers and child care providers completed the Infant Toddler Socio-Emotional Assessment (ITSEA). Results showed that secure attachment relationships with child care providers partly compensated for insecure attachments with mothers at home. In the context of the child care center, secure attachments with child care providers were more important determinants of the development of socio-emotional behaviors than secure attachments with mothers.

어린이집 원장의 코칭리더십이 중간관리자의 코칭리더십을 매개로 보육교사의 동기부여적 자아개념에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Child Care Center Manager's Coaching Leadership on Teacher's Motivational Self Concepts Via Middle Manager's Coaching Leadership)

  • Objective: This study aimed to investigate the influence of child care center managers' coaching leadership on teachers' motivational self-concepts via middle managers' coaching leadership. Teachers' motivational self-concepts consisted of personal self-concept and social self-concept. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted on 475 child care center teachers regarding teachers' recognition of the coaching leadership of managers and middle managers and motivational self-concepts of teachers. To analyze the collected data, the path was examined through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, structural analysis using Amos, and the mediating effect was confirmed by conducting the Sobel Test. Results: The middle manager's coaching leadership was found to mediate the pathways from the manager's coaching leadership to the teacher's social self-concept, but did not mediate the personal self-concept of teachers. Conclusion/Implications: This study showed that the manager's coaching leadership was mediated by the middle manager's coaching leadership and that the manager's coaching leadership had an influence on the social self-concept of teachers. These results imply that both managers and middle managers need to develop coaching leadership skills in order to improve the motivational self-concept of teachers, which is important for work efficiency at child care centers.

보육시설의 건강검진 현황에 관한 조사연구 (A Survey on the Health Examination of Child Care Centers)

  • Purpose: This descriptive study was conducted to examine the status of the health examination in child care centers. Method: The participants in this study were 631 child care centers. A self report questionnaire on health examination which has been examined for content validity, was distributed by mail to 2,000 child care centers using randomized sampling. Result: Of the sample, $76.2\%$ child care centers had done health examination for children. Height & weight, urinalysis, dental check, anemia test and visual acuity were the most frequently performed items. The rate for maintaining a health record was highest in the national/public child care centers. Child care centers more closely related to community health centers, showed higher rates of health examination. Conclusion: Health care personnel and financial aids should be provided for child care centers to enhance the level of health management of children.

친환경공간의 필요성에 따른 구립 어린이집의 사례 연구 (An Empirical Study on Public Child Care Center for the Necessity of the Eco-Environmental Space)

  • The change of modern society arouse the issue of the family structure and the demand of upbringing. According to the issue, the need of the upbringing is the big interest in society. This study is on the necessity of the eco-environmental space in public child care center. The study progressed with the result of the prior study, the demand of the parents of students in eco-environmental space in child care center. The results of the study are first, the natural light source can import in sky light, side light and atrium in child care center. Second, the indoor garden and interior plants would give the natural feelings. Third, the ponds and waterways in indoor and outdoor would give the empirical experiences. And the last, the stone and clay would give the tender feelings in interior and the sand play in outdoor would give the activities. This study would be the foundation on the upcoming study of the needs of the eco-environmental spaces in child facilities.

국공립보육시설 확충을 위한 우선설치지역 선정의 탐색적 연구 (Exploratory Study on Selecting Priority Regions for the Expansion of Public Child Care Centers)

  • The purpose of the current study was to select vulnerable regions with insufficient child care services based on an in-depth investigation of diverse regional characteristics and to establish a practical goal for the expansion of public child care centers through identifying priority regions in foremost need of public child care centers out of the vulnerable regions. The vulnerable regions were selected from both urban and rural areas with particular criterions to determine their critical situation. First of all, the number of children aged zero to five, private and public child care centers, and capacity and enrolment of the regional child care center were selected from towns (Eup) and townships (Myeon) within rural areas and neighborhoods (Dong) within urban areas to calculate the capacity fulfillment. Specifically, a dense population of low-income families inhabited within urban areas defined the region's vulnerable status for the analysis, whereas poor accessibility of a child care center within rural areas correspond to the lack of child care services. The analytical result displayed that a total of 456 towns and townships did not acquire child care centers. Out of 456 towns and townships, 162 were selected as priority regions. On the other hand, 546 neighborhoods corresponding to upper 30 percentiles of urban area where children receive basic subsidy for low income families were selected as vulnerable regions. Out of 546 neighborhoods, 243 were selected as priority regions according to the analytical result.

일부 보육교사의 영양지식과 식생활태도 및 영양교육 요구 조사 (A Study on Nutrition Knowledge, Dietary Attitudes and Nutrition Education Needs among Child-Care Teachers)

  • This study was conducted on 175 child-care teachers, who participated in in-service education, to research the methods to improve child-care teacher's nutrition management capability for infants and children. Investigated results of child-care teachers' nutrition knowledge, dietary attitude status, and needs on nutrition education in child-care centers are as follows: The score of child-care teachers' nutrition knowledge was 10.83 points out of 15, which is about 72%. Total score increased as teachers' age but not significantly different from their career duration, since teachers who have a child-care career less than 5 years acquired 10.91 points, which is higher than 10.64 points of teachers having more than 5 years of child-care career. Teachers' average recognition to the nutrition knowledge was 90.6%, increased significantly by the older they are, and decreased according to the accumulation of their career. The average accuracy of the nutrition knowledge was 79.7%, increased in proportion to the teachers' age. The marks of child-care teachers' dietary attitude were 41.3 points (possible score range 5-50) and 83%, older teachers tended to have more desirable dietary attitude. As indicated by the increment of child-care career, the score of emotional attitude tended to be increased but which of cognitive and behavioral attitude showed a declining tendency. Nutrition information which child-care teachers were mainly interested in were correct selection of food (58.1%), obesity and weight management (52.7%), and nutrient content of food (44.9%). Nutrition education contents which child-care teachers needed were 'nutritious food and menu for child' (72.2%), 'health management of child' (69.2%) and meal management of child (40.2%). Nutrition education methods, which child-care teachers considered as of desirable ones, were cooking class of small scale (31.8%), visiting class at child-care center (26.5%). In consequence, the nutrition knowledge and dietary attitude of child-care teachers were not good and showed different issues by age and career duration. Therefore, it is requisite to intensify nutrition management courses in child-care teachers' qualification and in-service education courses which has actual necessity and suitability based on teachers' age, career, and the type of child-care center, and to disseminate these through public health centers and child-care & education information centers to pursue the efficient balance of nutrition education programs.

부산지역 지역아동센터의 운영주체별 급식 실태 (Food Service Status at Community Child Care Centers in Busan)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the food service status of community child care centers in Busan. A survey was conducted from November 1, 2012 to November 30, 2012 using questionnaires. Overall, 66.7% of the community child care centers had a separate dining room. The satisfaction score of the kitchen facility was 4.32 and the satisfaction degree of the dining place was 3.95. Most of the community child care centers were not managed by professionals and the food service was in a relatively poor status. In 61.3% of the community child care centers, the director of the center purchased the foodstuffs. In addition, approximately 72% of the child care centers directly purchased foodstuffs. When preparing meals, nutrition (73.0%), cost (13.5%), and preference (4.5%) were considered as the important factors for respondents. Overall, there were demands for increasing meal costs and improving the food service facilities. In addition, a higher degree of hygiene management resulted in a higher degree of satisfaction from children. Therefore, to improve food service performance at community child care centers, food services should be assisted by professionals and the person in charge of foodservices should be educated food service management.
