농어촌지역의 양육방법에 관한 연구 - 수유·이유·배변훈련을 중심으로 - (A Study on Child-Care in Rural Korea : Feeding, Weaning and Toilet-Training)

  • The purpose of this study was the description of general trends in feeding, weaning and toilet training in agricultural and fishing communities in Korea, where the traditions are better preserved; thereby to present useful material for improving child rearing practices. The results of this study showed that: 1) Breast-feeding is the dominant form of nursing. The mother nurses freely whenever the baby wants to be fed. The mother caresses the baby while she nurses him. The nursing period is relatively long, up to 1 and a half years. 2) Generally, the time of weaning starts late - between 9 months and 18 months. Many mothers apply a bitter tasting solution to their nipples to aid weaning. The many things give a baby foods, the recipe for which the acquire knowledge from his family and acquaintances. 3) Toilet training generally starts after 1 full year. Potties are commonly used. The infant is reminded of its error whenever it makes a mistake and cleanliness is stressed. Urination and defecation are taught to be dirty things. In summary, discipline is not strict enforced but given naturally as the infants grow: This was interpreted in terms of the traditional way of life and geographical characteristics.

빈곤층 편모의 스트레스가 부모역할 수행에 미치는 영향 :심리적 디스트레스의 매개역할을 중심으로 (Stress and psychological Distress as Determinants of Parenting Practices among Poor Single Mothers)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore various environmental factors that explain parenting practices. Those factors considered are stress and characteristics of single-mother/child together with psychological distress experienced by the single mother. A total of 285 poor single mothers with a child attending elementary school or junior high school completed a structured questionaire. The relationships among the variables were analyzed by the path analysis. The results showed that poor single mothers rely on affectiv $e^portive involvement more frequently then punitive/inconsistent discipline. It is also confirmed that the enviromental factors such as financial stress living environmental stress and job status play important roles in determining the quality of parenting practices with the mediating role of psychological distress.ss.

저소득층 어머니의 자녀교육 참여와 자녀의 학교 적응 (Mother's Involvement and Children's School Adjustment in Poor Families)

  • The purposes of this study are to explore mother's involvement in children's education and to examine its impacts on the school adjustment of poor family children. A total of 206 low-income mothers with a child attending elementary or middle school completed a structured questionnaire. Overall, the results show that the mothers tend to involve in their children's education to some degree. But the extent of maternal involvement is not uniform across the types of involvement. In order to analyze factors that affect the school adjustment which is measured as grades and attitudes toward school life, regression is perfomed. The mother-child relationship, the expectation for children's educational attainment and the involvement in school activities are found important in predicting the school adjustment of elementary school students. Also, it is found that the discipline including TV monitoring and the matemal expectation are positively associated with the school adjustment of middle school student.

어머니의 심리적 통제와 유아-교사 상호작용이 유아의 자기조절능력에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effect of Mother's Psychological Control and Teacher-Child Interaction on Youth Children's Self-Regulation)

  • 본 연구는 어머니의 심리적 통제와 유아-교사 상호작용이 유아의 자기조절능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 3~5세 유아와 그들의 어머니 358명, 그들의 담임교사 28명이며, 자료 분석을 위해 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, Pearson의 상관분석, 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 어머니의 심리적 통제와 유아-교사 상호작용은 유아의 자기조절능력에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 그 중 유아-교사 상호작용이 어머니의 심리적 통제에 비해 더 큰 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 행동조절보다는 정서조절에 더 많은 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 유아의 자기조절능력에 영향을 미치는 변인으로서의 어머니의 심리적 통제와 유아-교사의 상호작용을 확인하였으며 어머니의 훈육방식에 대한 교육, 그리고 교사의 상호작용에 관한 지속적인 교육과 예비 교사 대상의 교육프로그램 개발의 필요성을 부각시켰다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

  • 본 연구는 학교폭력가해에 대한 학생 개인요인, 학교의 구조적 요인, 교사요인의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 위계적 선형모형을 적용하였고, 이를 HLM 7 프로그램으로 분석하였다. 이를 위해 서울 및 경기지역 50개 중학교의 총 1,777부 학생자료가 최종분석에 사용되었다. 분석결과, 학생수준 변수에서 폭력에 대한 태도, 아동학대, 비행친구접촉, 학교수준에서는 교사의 폭력적 훈육이 학교폭력에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 학교폭력 해소를 위한 실천 및 정책방안이 논의되었다.

모아상호작용 관련 간호연구 분석 (An Analysis of Nursing Research related to the Mother-Child Interaction in Korea)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identified patterns and trend of studies and to analyzed the nursing research related to the mother-child interaction in Korea and to improve direction of nursing research in mother-child interaction in Korea. Method: The research studies related to the mother-child interaction were selected from the Korean Nurses Academic Society Journal, and from dissertation, which were conducted between 1961 and 2002 with the consideration of the condition and the cultural specialty of Korea. The total numbers of the studies were 34. These studies were classified according to 1)time of publication or presentation, 2)research design, 3)type of interaction objects, 4)measurement tool, and 5)chief content of studies. Ressult: 1) Until 1984, there was no research studies related to mother-child interaction. The number of studies on the mother-child interaction on the mother-child interaction has been increased rapidly after 1985. The mother-child interaction studies were 13(38.2%) from the doctoral dissertation, 4(11.8%) from the Master's theses and 17(50%) other papers were published in academic journals. 2) Experimental studies of research design was used in these research studies was 13(38.2%). Descriptive studies was 8(23.6%), correlational studies was 4(11.8%) and comparative studies was 4(11.8%). Qualitative study was just one(2.9%) and literature review was 4(11.8%). Especially experimental studies has been increased. 3) Participants of these studies were mother and infant 29(85.5%), father and infant 2(5.9%), mother and fetus 2(5.9%) and nurse and infant 1(2.9%) 4) Utilization of instruments as follows: 13 studies used Walker et al(1986)'s MIPIS (Mother-Infant Play Interaction Scale), 6 studies used Barnard(1978)'s NCAFS (Nursing Child Assessment Feeding Scale), 4 studies used NCATS(Nursing child Assessment Teaching Scale) for assessing mother-infant interaction. 3 studies used Stainton(1981)'s Parent-Infant Interaction Scale. Choi(1987), Kim(1999) and Kim and Son(1997) used measurement tool researcher made which was modified from NCATS (Nursing child Assessment Teaching Scale) and AMIS(Assessment of Mother-Infant Sensitivity Scale). Other tools used to survey influencing factors of interaction. 5) Content of the research studies were classified 3 different types, such as ① studies about the mother-child interactions' pattern, ② studies about influencing factors of the mother-child interaction, ③ studies about effect of nursing intervention program to improve the mother-child interaction. Conclusion: Therefore we make following suggestions which are made based on the above research analysis : 1) In the future research studies need to compare with other area of discipline in mother-child interaction. 2) More attention and in depth research is needed to validate in terms of research design and statistical data analysis. 3) It is important to develop the instruments which is culturally acceptable in Korea society. 4) The results of correlational studies and experimental studies needs to the integrated by meta analysis.

Smartphone Use Patterns of Smartphone-dependent Children

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the smartphone use patterns of smartphone-dependent children. Methods: The study design was a cross-sectional descriptive study. The data were derived from the 2017 survey on smartphone over-dependence conducted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information Society Agency. The study sample was 595 elementary school students identified as being smartphone-dependent. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, the independent t-test, the x2 test, the Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Results: The frequency of smartphone use was the factor strongly associated with more severe smartphone dependence in participants. Games were the most commonly used application type among participants, regardless of their degree of dependence. More severe smartphone dependence was associated with greater use of applications such as learning and television/video. Conclusion: As smartphone dependence becomes more severe, children tend to use their smartphones more frequently and to use applications that involve solitary play for the purposes of entertainment and pleasure. The findings suggest that the parents should attentively monitor their children's smartphone use patterns and provide consistent discipline in a way that ensures appropriate smartphone use.

청소년의 가정 내 사회적 자본 유형과 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Type and Characteristics Social capital in the family of Adolescents)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the characteristics of school adolescents social capital by using Q methodology, to improve the adaptation of adolescents to school, and to contribute to the theory of social capital. As a result of the analysis, five types were derived. Type I was abundance, type II was family ceremony type, type III was discipline, type IV was exchange type, type V was trust type'. Based on the above five types, the characteristics of the social capital types of school adolescents are as follows: First, Type I includes social capital elements in various areas with abundant social capital elements relative to other types. Second, Type III is the weakest type of support among family members among the social capital elements in the family. Emotional interactions in parent - child relationship are cut off. Type II, however, is more emotional Support is the strongest type. Third, types II, IV, and V are parents love and affection for their children and they are very interested in children. Types III, IV, and V are parents It can be seen that it acts as a guide and an advisor. Finally, we can see that the five commonalities share a minimum parental interest in children.

영유아기 어머니의 양육행위에 관한 내용분석 (Content Analysis of Child Rearings of Mothers in Infant and Child Preschool)

  • 목적 영유아를 돌보는 어머니의 양육행위를 파악하여 양육행위 형태를 확인하고자 한다. 방법 본 연구는 60개월 이하의 영유아를 양육하는 어머니의 양육행위와 관련된 구체적인 경험이나 인식을 질적, 양적으로 파악하고자 내용분석을 실시한 연구이다. 결과 양육행위에 대한 내용을 긍정적 강화와 부정적 강화로 양육행위를 분류하여 내용 분석한 결과 총 55개의 의미 있는 진술문과 14개의 범주로 도출되었다. 첫째, 긍정적 강화영역으로는 "잦은 피부 접촉", "즐겁게 해줌", "자녀와의 많은 시간 가짐", "자녀의 자존감 향상", "자녀의 요구에 대한 민감", "올바른 훈육", "독립적 양육", "자녀의 의견 경청", "자녀의 감정 이해 및 존중" 9개의 범주로 나타났다. 둘째, 부정적 강화영역으로 범주화된 내용으로는 "과잉보호", "비 일관적인 태도", "방임", "부정적 훈육 행위", "권위적 순종 강조" 5개의 범주로 나타났다. 결론 어머니의 양육행위에 대한 내용을 확인하고 변화를 위해서는 교육을 좀 더 구체적이며 체계적으로 운영하며 개개인의 양육행위에 대한 방법을 고려하여 적합한 교육 프로그램의 개발을 통해 추후 효과를 높일 수 있을 것이라고 생각된다.

아동문학에 나타난 가족, 그리고 해체 (The Family in Children's Literature and Its Disintegration)

  • The education of children is one of the most important parts in children's literature. Children's literature, whose implied readers are both children and parents, is a good means to teach how they should behave and interact. Therefore, literary conventions of children's literature tend to be conservative with happy endings or fairy tale elements. Most of the children's literature of the 18th century were read as a conduct book which teaches children good manners and proper behavior, and at the same time served as a guidebook which tells parents how to discipline children. It emphasized the need of discipline to ascertain the hierarchy and order of the family, and cherished the close relationship between parents and children. In the 19th century, the ideal of family becomes more internalized. In the early 20th century, the ideology of family still remained, even though the world wars and economic depressions caused the cracks and collapses of the family. In the later 20th century, the disintegration of the traditional family was accelerated. The ideal of family based on the close relationship between parents and children, has had problems from the start. The attachment and over-closeness became stressful and sometimes could be poisonous. Recent children's literature shows the process of disintegration of the traditional nuclear family, children suffering in the fractured family, children's mental trauma, and nostalgia for the lost family. However, modern children's literature manages to find the lost or ideal surrogate family, and often shows fairy-tale elements such as mystical and heroic child protagonists or helpers who might solve all the difficult problems at once, despite the collapse of the family in reality.
