소비자 이슈에 대한 CSR 활동의 산업별 차이분석 (Analyzing Differences in CSR Activities of Consumer Issues among Industries)

  • Purpose: This study aims to develop measuring tools for 'Consumer Issues' of ISO 26000, the international standards for corporate social responsibility(CSR), and propose strategic suggestions on the CSR implemention by analyzing the differences among various industries. Methods: In order to test the research models, structured questionnaires were used and nationwide surveys were conducted targeting at customers who have had experiences in using the products and services from the companies which published CSR reports. In addition, for the empirical analysis of data, the models were verified with AMOS confirmatory factor analysis(CFA). Results: From the result of the analysis of differences among industries, it was shown that level of CSR activities was high in public sectors, followed by service industries and manufacturing. It was also shown high in air transport and the electrical and electronic industries, while it was confirmed low in energy and environment related industries such as energy, automobile and chemical industries. As a result, strategic approaches are suggested, considering the different characteristics of each industry in implementing CSR. Conclusion: This study has developed measuring tools for 'Consumer Issues' to research the core subjects and issues of ISO 26000, the international standards for CSR. It has confirmed the characteristics and differences regarding 'Consumer Issues' among industries and proved that industries can provide guidelines for the implementation of CSR activities through approaching and researching various issues from interested parties. This study has also suggested the importance of customer awareness of CSR activities and active communications by industries.

  • Before the financial crisis of 1997 in Korea, many industrial sectors across the country have achieved remarkable economic growth since the 1970s because of the development of large-scale equipment industries such as civil engineering, steel, construction and chemical industries. However, after the financial crisis, the economic growth rate has slowed down. Also, the global recession and the rise of China in the global business environment have led to a long-term recession in the national industry as a whole. In current economic environment, it is not easy for the companies even having excellent resources to continue its competitive advantage. Moreover, the chemical industry, which has an influence as a basic industry of other industries, misses the point of transformation into a high value-added industry, as shown in previous research. In order to meet the rapidly changing global business environment, Korean chemical companies should have a dynamic capabilities which to rapidly reallocate and consolidate the resources and capabilities they possess. The dynamic capabilities to convert, rearrange and develop the resources possessed by the company in the direction of creating high added value and to promptly search for, absorb, transform and fuse newly required capabilities and resources should be continuously applied to Korean chemical companies. It is the core competence to secure competitive advantage. In order to secure the dynamic capabilities of the company, the dynamic capabilities of individual employees should be strengthened and employees should be able to demonstrate their own leadership so that they can proactively work and self-manage in a positive direction. Previous studies have focused mainly on the dynamic capabilities of firms. However, the competence of the human resources that make up the enterprise leads to the capabilities of the enterprise, and the human resources themselves are also important corporate resources. This paper focuses on the dynamic capabilities of individuals and strives to clarify the causal relationship between dynamic capabilities, self-leadership, and organizational effectiveness which have direct or indirect effects on management outcome. The reasons for choosing the chemical industry are based on the fact that a domestic chemical companies are in a long-term recession, and they lacks a innovation and value creation capabilities. Also, chemical industry has a large impact on the national economy.

  • 금속표면처리 기술 분야에서 광범위하게 적용되어온 6가 크롬에 의한 부식억제방법은 더 이상 사용할 수 없는 단계에 이르렀다. 전 세계적으로 자동차 산업에 적용되기 시작한 이 6가 크롬사용에 대한 규제는 전자산업을 비롯한 모든 산업에 예외 없이 적용될 것이다. 이에 따라 새로운 부식억제 방법이 절대적으로 필요하며, 3가 크롬을 바탕으로 하는 새로운 부식억제 방법이 그 자리를 대신할 것이다. 따라서 본 총설에서는 6가 크로메이트 대체를 위한 화성코팅에 대한 공정 개발을 위해 현재까지 진행된 과정 및 제안된 3가 크롬화성코팅을 소개하여 획기적인 3가 크로메이트 화성코팅 공정의 확립에 기여하고자 한다.

화학제품제조업에서 배출되는 폐 유기성슬러지의 열적 특성 (Thermal Characteristics of Waste Organic Sludges Discharged from an Chemical Product Manufacturing Industry)

  • 본 연구는 산업단지의 화학제품제조업 및 석유화학제품제조업에서 발생하는 유기성슬러지에 대하여 삼성분, 원소조성, 발열량, 열중량 분석 및 연소시험을 실시하였다. 삼성분 분석 결과 "화합물 및 화학제품 제조업"의 평균값은 수분함량 75.11, 가연분 17.42, 불연분 7.45%로 나타났으며, "코크스, 석유 정제품 및 핵연료 제조업"의 경우 평균값은 수분함량 77.54, 가연분 18.25, 불연분 4.22%로 나타났다. 원소분석 결과 평균값은 "화합물 및 화학제품 제조업"의 경우 C 33.06, H 4.34, O 24.81, N 5.18, S 0.72wt%로 나타났으며, "코크스, 석유 정제품 및 핵연료 제조업"의 경우 C 36.58, H 4.74, O 26.79, N 5.09, S 0.49wt%로 나타났다. 열중량분석 결과, B사에서 배출되는 슬러지는 $700^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 그리고 F와 N사에서 배출되는 슬러지는 $600^{\circ}C$ 정도의 온도에서도 연소가 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 연소테스트 결과, 산화반응과 동시에 열분해 반응으로 고농도의 일산화탄소가 배출되므로 이로 인한 로의 국부과열이나 파손현상에 대한 기초자료를 얻는데 이용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Recent Advances and Trends in Antibiotics Fermentation Technology

  • In Korea, antibiotic fermentation industries have just started budding out now. Tetracycline derivative (Pfizer, CKD), Kanamycin (Dongmyung) are produced by fermentation processes. Penicillin, erythromycin, gentamicin, rifamycin, and a few others are being planned for production within a few years by major pharmaceutical and chemical firms in Korea. Reviewing past and present activities in the antibiotic fermentation industries in Korea suggests that the prospects for antibiotics will be very bright.

  • 유기폐물을 다량으로 배출하는 산업중에서 대표적인 제지·펄프공업, 식품공업을 선택하여 고형유기폐물과 폐수처리오니의 합리적인 자원화 방법으로서 이들물질의 비료적 가치 및 humus원으로서의 개발가치를 중심으로 이들 물질의 물리적 및 화학적 특성을 조사한 결과이다. 제지${\cdot}$펄프공업 유기고형폐물은 비료성분이 적고 lignin 함량이 높아 비료로서 보다는 humus화하여 토양개량제로서 개발하는 것이 합리적이다. 제혁공업 폐수처리오니는 비료로서 효과도 기대되어 산성토양 개량효과도 기대되나 다량으로 함유한 Cr 으로 인해 오염효과가 문제가 된다. 식품공업의 고형 유기폐물 또는 폐수처리오니는 비료로서 또는 미량요소 공급원으로서 가치가 인정되며 수용성 당류의 량이 높거나 C/N율이 20이하로 낮은 물질은 속성 humus화를 위한 첨가 재료로서의 가치도 인정된다.

  • To apply easily the K-RBI program in domestic industries, an implemental procedure for K-RBI program was prepared. The K-RBI program had been developed, based on API-581 BRD. Therefore, through the usage of the developed K-RBI program and the implemental procedure, industries would have a benefit from reduced costs by modifying a frequency of an inspection efficiently. Also, the reliability of facilities would be maximized through improvement of an inspection method for facilities, considering its risk.
