The process and facilities of modern chemical plants are becoming increasingly complex, there is possibility of potential risk. Internal chemicals generate stress concentration when operated due to turbulence, laminar flow, pressure, temperature, friction, etc. It causes cumulative fatigue damage, which can damage or rupture chemical facilities and devices. The statistics of chemical accidents found that the highest rate of occurrence was in summer, and in the last five years statistics on chemical accidents, leakage incidents make up a decent percentage of accidents. Chemical leaks can cause serious human damage and economic damage, including explosions and environmental pollution. In this study, based on the leak accident of chemical plant, the risk analysis, and damage effects assessment were estimated using a 3D scanner and FLACS. As a result, if chemicals leak in summer, the risk is higher than in other seasons, the seasonal safety management measures, and countermeasure were estimated.

Objectives: Chemical accidents cause extensive human and environmental damage. Therefore, it is important to prepare measures to prevent their recurrence and minimize future damage through accident investigation. To this end, it is necessary to identify the accident occurrence process and analyze the extent of damage. In this study, the development process and damage range of actual chemical leakage accidents were analyzed using CFD. Methods: For application to actual chemical leakage accidents using FLACS codes specialized for chemical dispersion simulation among CFD codes, release rate calculation and 3D geometry were created, and scenarios for simulation were derived. Results: The development process of the accident and the dispersion behavior of materials were analyzed considering the influencing factors at the time of the accident. In addition, to confirm the validity of the results, we compared the results of the actual damage impact investigation and the simulation analysis results. As a result, both showed similar damage impact ranges. Conclusions: The FLACS code allows the detailed analysis of the simulated dispersion process and concentration of substances similar to real ones. Therefore, it is judged that the analysis method using CFD simulation can be usefully applied as a chemical accident investigation technique.

This study was carried out with solution temperature variables of $75^{\circ}C$ and $90^{\circ}C$ for STS 304, which is a nuclear equipment material, in order to determine the corrosion damage behavior in chemical decontamination process using permanganic acid and oxalic acid. Then electrochemical polarization experiment, weight loss measurement, surface morphology observation and surface damage depth were measured every cycle of the decontamination process to analyze the degree of corrosion damage. As a result, the corrosion current density, weight loss, and surface damage increased as the decontamination process cycle increased, and the corrosion damage of STS 304 tended to increase. Few ${\mu}m$ pitting damage was observed on the surface observation. In 5 cycle, the elongated wormhole-type pitting damage appeared, leading to relatively large surface damage. However, there was no significant difference in the degree of surface damage resulting from the increase in the temperature of the chemical decontamination solution.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to analyze and classify the characteristics of potential damage from hazardous chemical accidents in 229 administrative units in South Korea by reflecting the social and environmental characteristics of areas where chemical accidents can occur. Methods: A number of indicators were selected through preceding studies. Factor analysis was performed on selected indicators to derive factors, and cluster analysis was performed based on the factor scores. Results: As a result of the cluster analysis, 229 administrative units were divided into three clusters, and it was confirmed that each cluster had its own characteristics. Conclusions: The first cluster, "areas at risk of accident occurrence and spread of damage" was a type with a high potential for accident damage and a high density of hazardous facilities. The second cluster, "Urban infrastructure damage hazard areas" appeared to be a cluster with high urban development characteristics. Finally, the third cluster 'Urban and environmental damage hazard areas' appeared to be a cluster with an excellent natural environment. This study went further from the qualitative discussion related to existing chemical accidents to identify and respond to accident damage by reflecting the social and environmental characteristics of the region. Distinct from the previous studies related to the causes of accidents and the response system, it is meaningful to conduct empirical research focusing on the affected areas by analyzing the possibility of accident damage in reflection of the social and environmental characteristics of the community.

Two methods that can reduce reflectance in solar cells are surface texturing and anti-reflection coating. Wet chemical etching is a typical method that surface texturing of multi-crystalline silicon. Wet chemical etching methods are the acid texturization of saw damage on the surface of multi-crystalline silicon or double-step chemical etching after KOH saw damage removal too. These methods of surface texturing are realized by chemical etching in acid solutions HF-$HNO_3$-$H_2O$. In this solutions we can reduce reflectance spectra by simple process etching of multi-crystalline silicon surface. We have obtained reflectance of 27.19% m 400~1100nm from acidic chemical etching after KOH saw damage removal. This result is about 7% less than just saw damage removal substrate. The surface morphology observed by microscope and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
The use of nanoparticles (NPs) in industry is increasing, bringing with it a number of adverse health effects on workers. Like other chemical carcinogens, NPs can cause cancer via oxidative DNA damage. Of all the molecules vulnerable to oxidative modification by NPs, DNA has received the greatest attention, and biomarkers of exposure and effect are nearing validation. This review concentrates on studies published between 2000 and 2012 that attempted to detect oxidative DNA damage in humans, laboratory animals, and cell lines. It is important to review these studies to improve the current understanding of the oxidative DNA damage caused by NP exposure in the workplace. In addition to examining studies on oxidative damage, this review briefly describes NPs, giving some examples of their adverse effects, and reviews occupational exposure assessments and approaches to minimizing exposure (e.g., personal protective equipment and engineering controls such as fume hoods). Current recommendations to minimize exposure are largely based on common sense, analogy to ultrafine material toxicity, and general health and safety recommendations.

In the shallow trench isolation(STI)-chemical mechanical polishing(CMP) process, the key issues are the optimized thickness control, within-wafer-non-uniformity, and the possible defects such as pad oxide damage and nitride residue. The defect like nitride residue and silicon (or pad oxide) damage after STI-CMP process were discussed to accomplish its optimum process condition. To understand its optimum process condition, overall STI related processes including reverse moat etch, trench etch, STI fill and STI-CMP were discussed. Consequently, we could conclude that law trench depth and high CMP thickness can cause nitride residue, and high trench depth and over-polishing can cause silicon damage.
Field and laboratory works were conducted to Investigate the life history, ginseng damage and chemical control effect of the field slug, Deroceras varians A. Adams. D. varians laid eggs from April to June, but a small number of eggs were also found from July to September in the field. Most young slugs grew through the slimmer months to maturity by October. overwintered beneath the moist soil surface, and began feeding and egg-laying in the following April. indicating that D varians have a life cycle in a year. Damage of ginseng plants by D. varina occurred mainly from late April to mid May in the 3rd to 5th year ginseng fields with rice-straw mulching. It seems that this damage is caused by the adults in oviposition periods and related to rice-straw mulching of ginseng fields. In the experiment, ethoprop 5% granule and metaldehyde 6% bait showed relatively high effectiveness in the control of D. varians adults. Bordeaux mixture was more effective when the chemical was sprayed after infestation of the slug than before the infestation and when the 6-12 mixture was used.
In this study, the physical and chemical fiber damage caused by knives, scissors, and chemicals was analyzed and used as technical data to determine the cause of the damage. Using 4 types of knives, 5 types of scissors and 4 types of chemicals(Sulfuric Acid, Hydrochloric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Potassium Hydroxide) physical and chemical to Cotton, Wool, Polyester, Rayon, T/C (Polyester 50%, Cotton 50%), T/W (Polyester 50%, Wool 50%) Damages were created and analyzed for damage caused by tools and chemicals. For penetrating damage caused by knives and scissors, 'V' type damage was generally seen when the blade part was penetrated, 'T', 'ㅁ', ''C' type damage was found, and in the case of scissors, 'Y' ' This type of damage was common. Fiber damage caused by chemicals showed various damage such as remanent trace, corrosion, degraded, contracting, and color changes. Physical damage of fibers showed differences in characteristics according to the shape characteristics of tools, and chemical damage showed differences in characteristics according to chemicals and types of fibers.
This study presents an evaluation method to estimate the damage scale of chemical storage tank of petrochemical plant due to the earthquake that is likely to occur among NaTech damage types. Based on this, the risk for damage reduction of chemical storage tanks was evaluated. As a result of the study, the risk of the storage tank increased greatly considering the earthquake, and the risk was greatly reduced as a result of evaluating the proposed measures to mitigate the damage impact on the earthquake. This study is expected to contribute to the research on the reduction of NaTech damages such as typhoons and thunderstorms as well as earthquakes, and to establish an emergency response plan. In the future, it is necessary to systematically study and institutionalize the risk reduction measures considering earthquakes.
