In this paper, the trap characteristics of thin silicon oxides is investigated in the ULSI implementation with nano structure transistors. The stress and transient currents associated with the on and off time of applied voltage were used to measure the distribution of high voltage stress induced traps in thin silicon oxide films. The stress and transient currents were due to the charging and discharging of traps generated by high stress voltage in the silicon oxides. The transient current was caused by the tunnel charging and discharging of the stress generated traps nearby two interfaces. The stress induced leakage current will affect data retention in electrically erasable programmable read only memories. The oxide current for the thickness dependence of stress current, transient current, and stress induced leakage currents has been measured in oxides with thicknesses between 113.4nm and 814nm, which have the gate area 10$\^$-3/ $\textrm{cm}^2$. The stress induced leakage currents will affect data retention, and the stress current and transient current is used to estimate to fundamental limitations on oxide thicknesses.
Charge decay, thermally stimulated current (TSC), charging and discharging currents(I) are measured for corona-charged composite insulating materials. In this study, We will make an experiment in charge decay on composite material surface, TSC, polarity effect and the others in order to analysis its mechanism. Especially, Fiber glass Reinforced Plastics(FRP) is the best composite material which has been so far. Therefore, Its worthy of notice to investigate its characteristic. And then some other materials will be focused on. This experiment measured characteristic of charge decay, dependence of discharging-time and other electrostatic characteristics on FRP.
Pixel-Design Array Simulation Tool(PDAST) was used to profoundly the gate signal distortion and pixel changing capability, which are the most critical limiting factors for high-quality TFT-LCDs. Since PDAST can simulate the gate, data and pixel voltages of a certain pixel on TFT array at any time and at any location on an array, the effect of the resistivity of gate line material on the pixel operations can be effectively analyzed. The gate signal delay, pixel charging ratio, level-shift of the pixel voltage were simulated with varying the resis5tivity of the gate line material. The information obtained from this study could be utilized to design the larger area and finer image quality panel.
Especially, Fiber glass Reinforced Plastics(FRP) is the best composite insulating material which has been so far. Therefore, it's worthy of notice to investigate on the corona electrified composite insulating material by surface condition. And then some other materials will be focussed on. In this study, charge decay were measured with charging-time and grid voltage on FRP composite material surface in order to analyze the mechanism. As a result we have studied that the way of the composite glass fiber(GF) and Polymer and the condition of the contaminated surface was different. In case of the GF is mixed with vertical, charge decay speed is fast because the charge is easily leaked. On the other hand, the surface charge decay speed is depend on conductive or insulated of the contaminant.
To cope with automobile exhaust gas regulations, ISG (Idling Stop & Go) and charging control systems are applied to HEVs (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) for the purpose of improving fuel economy. These systems require quick charge/discharge performance at high current. To satisfy this characteristic, improvement of the positive electrode plate is studied to improve the charge/discharge process and performance of AGM(Absorbent Glass Mat) lead-acid batteries applied to ISG automotive systems. The bonding between grid and A.M (Active Material) can be improved by applying the Sand-Blasting method to provide roughness to the surface of the positive grid. When the Sand-Blasting method is applied with conditions of ball speed 1,000 rpm and conveyor speed 5 M/min, ideal bonding is achieved between grid and A.M. The positive plate of each condition is applied to the AGM LAB (Absorbent Glass Mat Lead Acid Battery); then, the performance and ISG life characteristics are tested by the vehicle battery test method. In CCA, which evaluates the starting performance at -18 ℃ and 30 ℃ with high current, the advanced AGM LAB improves about 25 %. At 0 ℃ CA (Charge Acceptance), the initial charging current of the advanced AGM LAB increases about 25 %. Improving the bonding between the grid and A.M. by roughening the grid surface improves the flow of current and lowers the resistance, which is considered to have a significant effect on the high current charging/discharging area. In a Standard of Battery Association of Japan (SBA) S0101 test, after 300 A discharge, the voltage of the advanced AGM LAB with the Sand-Blasting method grid was 0.059 V higher than that of untreated grid. As the cycle progresses, the gap widens to 0.13 V at the point of 10,800 cycles. As the bonding between grid and A.M. increases through the Sand Blasting method, the slope of the discharge voltage declines gradually as the cycle progresses, showing excellent battery life characteristics. It is believed that system will exhibit excellent characteristics in the vehicle environment of the ISG system, in which charge/discharge occurs over a short time.
In this study, a model for automatically recognizing several steel parts through a camera before charging materials was developed under the assumption that the temperature distribution in the pre-air atmosphere was known. For model development, datasets were collected in random environments and factories. In this study, the YOLO-v5 model, which is a YOLO model with strengths in real-time detection in the field of object detection, was used, and the disadvantages of taking a lot of time to collect images and learning models was solved through the transfer learning methods. The performance evaluation results of the derived model showed excellent performance of 0.927 based on mAP 0.5. The derived model will be applied to the model development study, which uses the model to accurately recognize the material and then match it with the temperature distribution in the atmosphere to determine whether the material layout is suitable before charging materials.
In this paper, we evaluated the effect of accumulated charges on hydrophobicity of room temperature vulcanized(RTV) silicone rubber, which could improve the contamination performance of porcelain insulators, with uv radiation time. Outdoor insulating material could be charged by the corona discharge on field intensified area of insulator and discharge between the water drops. In addition, we performed the accelerated uv radiation on samples and investigated the change of charging decay with time. In this results, it is found that silica-like structure on the surface of RTV silicone rubber was formed by uv treatments and this layer have the characteristic of retaining the charges on surface for a long time. These charges have effects on its hydrophobicity and so adversely effects on contamination performance. Based on our results, we discussed the other degradation mechanism with well known ones.
In this paper, synthetic conditions of titania nanparticle was investigated to enhance its uniformity of the particle size as a child particle on organic mother particle of liquid powder type electronic paper. The physical properties are very important to improve the uniformity of electrical charging properties Concentration of titania raw material ($C_9H_{19}NO_4Ti$) in the ethanol solvent, pH, and concentration of the solution in the D.I. water were selected as parameters. As a result, ultrafine and well crystallized titania nanoparticle with good uniformity could be synthesized as the concentration of the $C_9H_{19}NO_4Ti$ in the ethanol solvent, pH of the solution, and the amount of the D.I. water were increased. Using the optimized conditions, the titania nanparoticle with uniformly ultrafime size of 10 nm could be synthesized.
This paper presents the effects of accumulation of surface charges on hydrophobic level and the changes of surface potential decay with various artificial environment treatments on high temperature vulcanized (HTV) silicone rubber used for outdoor insulating material. For this study, the charging apparatus by corona discharge, in which grid electrode was installed between the main corona and ground electrode, was used. From this study, it was found that the accumulation of surface charges above a critical surface potential on silicone insulating materials could lead to the temporary loss of surface hydrophobicity. In addition, corona stress and water absorption stress increase the decay rate of surface charges of HTV silicone rubber, while ultraviolet (UV) stress causes longer decay time. We could conclude that the effects of surface charges on hydrophobicity level and the changes of surface state by various artificial treatments were found through a trend of surface potential decay.
The surface potential distribution on insulating polymers was measured by scanning of the probe of an electrostatic voltmeter. The measurements were done for two measured by scanning of the probe of an electrostatis voltmeter. The measurements were done for two cases. In the first case, it was measured on the free surface of insulating films which had been inserted between plane electodes after the removal of the upper brass disk electrode. In the second case, we measured the charging region between a circular and its opposing concentric ring electrodes after the removal of dc ramp voltage in air and nitrogen gas.
